Rather skip the self catering units and camp. They are nasty to say the least. Full of bed bugs and black mould on the bathroom ceilings.

We thought a weekend away in Montagu would be the perfect getaway at the start of Spring. Little did we know that an establishment within KFM’s Best Dorpie, is run by an arrogant racist. My friends and I drove from Hout Bay to Montagu and had the worst experience with Tracy from De Bos.
Not only was she rude from the onset, but she proceeded to say that we were not the right fit for her establishment. This is after a deposit had already been paid, which she still has not refunded after throwing us out in the middle of nowhere at night. This is bad for business for sure, but more than that, visitors like ourselves saw that there was no reform. We would like to think, and hope, Tracy does not reflect the sentiments of other establishments in the area. The experience was distasteful and made us wonder if we were really moving forward as country. Tracy your service was nothing short of disgusting, and I would never wish the kind of disrespect you served us with, on anyone — especially a paying customer.
I have no hope for De Bos with you at the helm. You have no sense of Customer Service, and it will be a shame to see a place like that close down because of ill management. Also, return our deposit.

What a gorgeous little farm! Excellent spot for camping.

We had a wonderful stay @ the Farm. The cottage was clean and very cosy, well equipped and we had a restful stay, enjoyed the farm, horses and the pool. I will certainly like to go back there. Thank you De Bos for doing an amazing job with your Farm. X0X0

A beautiful peaceful farm, where you can really relax. You can go for walks and the kids can go explore freely. Having the farm animals right outside your window view is such a wonderful thing! Loved waking up to this! We loved it as a family! Will go back!

Being in the hospitality industry, you should be able to deal with after hour enquiries It comes with territory! Or if you are unable to offer your services after a certain time then perhaps learn some people skills and how to talk to a potential client!

Alot of renovations has taken place since I've last been here. The security has also been improved with the gate.

Cute farm with animals for kids to enjoy. Hospitable hosts and friendly reception for better than backpackers accommodation at a good rate. Bit cold in winter maybe better for spring accommodation in Montagu near hot springs. Good value for money.

We rented a cottage with another couple but there was only one on-suite bathroom, so you had to go through someone's room to get to the bathroom. I found the place over-priced for what you get.

We really enjoyed our 3 nights at this lovely camping spot. With a wealth of stunning camping places in SA there are not many that make the repeat list. De Bos is one of the few!

Quiet… child friendly, yet not too far from anything!

Great campsite, especially for rock climbers, when empty as the kitchen and ablutions are not adequate for a full campsite. Great location to the climbing crags and very close to the shops in town. Free Wi-Fi and no power at each campsite nevertheless you can charge your devices in the kitchen area. Backpackers and bungalows are available too.

Good value for money. Group of 10 booked the courtyard as suggested by Tracy the owner. Facilities good. Comfy beds, hot shower, kitchen well equipped. Peaceful stay. Very good break away.

Beautiful spot in a farm-style setting amongst trees, with quaint little cottages and shady camping grounds — and most of all, very friendly, helpful hosts creating a relaxed & low-key atmosphere.

Great place if you wish to get out of the city with the family. Lots of space. Facilities could be better in terms of beds and providing ceiling fans, for the summer heat. Value for money nonetheless.

Been here before and came back again. Excellent spot and amenities for camping and self catering spots. Tracy was super helpful with all of our needs and easy to chat to. I'll definitely be coming back to stay. Thanks again for everything! Also, awesome climbing!

De Bos Guest Farm has everything going for it. Owner run with love, comfortable, affordable, various accommodation options in a beautiful setting. I'll be back soon!

It is a super camping spot, got some nice tree cover. Some down sides were, I picked up flea bites, not sure know if that is normal when camping. The nut shells are noisy at night.

Great place to stay if you want to relax and hike. Amenities available is good if a bit outdated. Free Wi-Fi. Dog friendly. Great hosts. Place in need of an upgrade, but clean and cared for.

I absolutely love De Bos. The facilities are fantastic and it's a lovely place to unwind. In my most recent visit however Tracey was unbelievable rude. I didn't check in as I arrived, which was completely wrong of me, and I profusely apologized for this. However she continued to speech me on my age and lack of manners like I was in primary school. The manner in which I was spoken to was completely unacceptable.

Very friendly welcome by Tracy and such a lovely place — at the edge of town — close to trails and climbing spots. Lots of trees and birds add to the good vibe.

De Bos Guest Farm is a great place to relax and use as a base to explore Montagu. We stayed in a self catering ensuite courtyard room and the backpackers while we were there. There is also camping.

Lovely place to get away from the city and recharge, hiking, enjoying the local places and people.

Really nice. Just watch out for the devil thorns if you have inflatable mattresses.

This past weekend we were in the process of parking at a campsite before going into reception. We had no idea we couldn't chose a campsite pre check-in as this was a completely different protocol than we were used to. We knew we needed to check in and that was the plan, we were simply choosing a campsite firstly. The owner approached our cars incredibly upset so I immediately went into reception. I apologised and yet was accused of knowing the process and told I didn't need to come back.? I'm really sad this was our experience as we used to frequent the place often.

Lovely farm type accomodation. Clean and very quite. Great place and well recommended.

Looking to get away for a while. Located in the center of one of South Africa's most beautiful hiking and sports climbing locations.

Nice and quiet place if you want to relax not really much to do just soak up the sun, very relaxing and offers free Wi-Fi.

Not a bad place just extremely plain and simple. Great place for school camps I guess.

This is our second time here — and we will be back. Great location as a base for climbing in the area! We have stayed in the 'barn' and the individual rooms. Each have their own charm :-)
