So lovely place and the to start a holiday.

By far the dirtiest accommodation we have ever stayed in. When we arrived the kitchen was a complete mess — used coffee mugs and pans that looked like they had been sitting there for days all over (Check in is at 14:00 — we arrived at 17:00, so surely this allows for more than enough time to clean up? ) Both the bar fridge and kitchen fridge were full of the owners contents making it very difficult to make ourselves comfortable. The pillow cases and duvets in some rooms had stains all over them, the floor felt as though it had not been washed in months, I made the mistake of taking the blanket off the couch only to see how dirty the couch underneath it was. Disgusting. As a group of 10, we were under the impression that the rooms and common area were going to be our space in the time that we were staying there. I felt as though we were never given the chance to settle in as the owner and her son lingered around the house the entirety of our stay, even after having asked for a privacy multiple times. On one particular occasion they walked in at 24:00 to pack the dishwasher and used our bathroom upstairs? We felt as though we were intruding in someone else’s house. The service we received was rude and extremely unpleasant. Wi-Fi facilities were non existent even though Swept Away advertises this. The only plus at this particular accommodation is the view but I’m afraid this might be the only reason this business continues to stay afloat.

The dirt was the worst part of our stay… From hair all over the bathroom, to gross stains and something that was messed all over the blanket we were given.
I tried to use the pot in the kitchenette and nothing had been washed.
The room looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in ages! I couldn’t imagine eating there if the rooms are that filthy. We were so grateful that we had brought our own towels to use, too.
I should have taken pics from when we first arrived because it was revolting!
The host, Inge, didn’t know which room I booked when I arrived and didn’t seem to know that we were even arriving on that day. We stayed at Swept Away from Nov 23-25 of this year (2020). It’s impossible to get hold of her, too, as not once did she answer on the number provided in the room.
The Wi-Fi is nonexistent… The shower gets clogged and you have to wait for the water to run out.
If you wanted to use the braai facilities, it was an absolute mess. Everything was exactly as the previous guests had left it.
Overall, the dirtiest place we’ve ever stayed at and the concept of sanitizing is of course non-existent…

The price of the one bedroom apartment with sea view we stayed in is laughable and I can’t believe the reviews I read before booking. Totally misleading!

What they advertised on lekkeslaap is NOT what we got. Our hostess is a bit moody which is understandable as she works alone.

The guest house is wonderfully located directly on the beach. It's so quiet there that I only heard the waves when I fell asleep. The view is also simply great! The rooms are lovingly and detailedly furnished and very cozy. You can prepare tea or coffee in the room and small snacks are available. The breakfast was very lovingly prepared and there was nothing missing. If you want to see the west coast, you should definitely stay here.

We were there in February, a beautifully decorated house, with attention to detail. The view is just dreamlike!
Also the breakfast was very tasty and leaves nothing to be desired.
Very nice hostess.

Unfriendly welcome when Inge, the manger of the house, opened the door when we arrived. Surely you know you have guests arriving so why are you surprised when we arrived? Then arguing that we only booked for one and quoting us rate per room per night without checking our confirmation booking paid for. Huffing under her breath we will sort it out at checkout. What kinda scam guesthouse do you even manage! On my knowledge a bed and breakfast includes breakfast or atleast all of the ones I have been to but we were charged for breakfast for our entire stay even thou we brought our own macon and salami that we ate at breakfast. I fully agree with Elmarie Oelofse;wont recommend and will never return!

Not at all a guesthouse standard! Not clean… very untidy garden… huge mess! A stranger's clothes in one of the cupboards… linen and towels not fresh… won't recommend at all… also huge mess up with booking and fees! Won't be back and won't recommend! What a pity. Stunning view… lots of potential! Definitely not R1000 worth pd.

This amazing gem has the most amazing view! The host is absolutely fabulous. The breakfast is great in the morning. Great guesthouse and beautiful location. It's a must visit!

Lovely Host! The honeymoon suite was spacious but really needed an extra heater for August weather.

Owner is very friendly and accommodating. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home.

My husband and I had the most wonderful weekend at Swept Away. I was blessed to be the winner of the prize for a weekend for two. Our room was comfortable and decorated in a soothing sea theme. The house is spacious with large windows looking over the sea, the views are spectacular! The kitchen and dining as well as lounge areas were spacious, comfortable and welcoming. We felt at home. Our hostess was wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet the owner too. There were other guests and we enjoyed chatting over breakfast, a great, tasty spread! All in all a wonderfully relaxing time and highly recommended! Thank you Swept Away, we will be back :)

Went to stay at the guest house for a few days leading up to our wedding (4 rooms for myself and my family). The hostess and her friends were smoking up a storm inside the house, so much so that our rooms and even our clothes smelled of it! The tv's in our rooms were all on some German channel and when we changed the channels to view something we (the paying guests) wanted to watch, she just went and changed it back to her channels. We felt like intruders in HER home! We (my now wife and I) slept in the Honey Moon suite and had to share the cupboards with someone else! Seems there is someone living in that room when there aren't any guests occupying it. The fact that our room had an awesome view is just not enough reason to ever want to go back there.
