Our weekend at Under Milkwood Resort was worth every cent. It is the cleanest safest and most beautifull weekend breakaway we ever had. The chalets are beautifull and very cozy and practical. The view is breathtakingly beautifull. Well done to the staff and owners of this fantastic resort. You have new clients/guests for life. I highly recommend this piece of paradise to any person who needs a break. See you again very soon.

We had a blissful time here on our recent garden route tour — will definitely book a longer stay next time! Friendly and helpful staff but the wooden cabins steal the show — too delightful!

Great place! Well equipped. Beautiful shallow waters. Efficient and friendly cleaning staff. High tide mornings coupled by magnificent sunsets. It was a memorable stay.

Absolutely perfect location and beautiful chalets! The waterfront suites had incredible views — highly recommended!

Had an amazing time staying here for honeymoon. The accessibility to the lake and subsequent water activities offered was refreshing. Rowing to other islands and trying some paddle boarding. Only drawback for our particular option was the space in the bedroom, but the chalet was still very well equipped and staying in doors was relaxing.

Epitomising the phrase "all fur coat & no knickers", under milkwood chalets is a thin veneer of class over lazily cobbled together rubbish. No expense has been spared on any of the elements which would look good in a brochure, but everything else seems to be of the cheapest most awful design. For example, our chalet must have contained hundreds of pounds worth of le creuset crockery, but the bathroom mirror was an oversized piece of mirror-glass with some old bits of wood just glued onto the face of it in the shape of a frame. Oh, and the shower leaks all over the main bedroom floor. A lot. There are watermarks 10cm up the curtains on the other side of the bedroom, presumably from previous guests' discovery of this surprise-paddling feature. Apparently they're "trying to get it fixed" but didn't think it was worth mentioning to us beforehand. To be fair, it's not an unpleasant place (plumbing aside) but it is not anything even remotely aproximating good value for money.

Highly recommended. Child friendly and with a beautiful lagoon.

Great place! the rooms between the tree there is a magnificent private beach and you can take kayak for fun. The facilities in the room are great too.

We spent the weekend at this BEAUTIFUL resort! Absolutely loved it! Cabins are beautiful and fully equipped. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Views are stunning and the self catering accommodation has everything you need! Beds were extremely comfortable and everything was clean and well presented. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking at visiting Knysna! Thank you so much to everyone at Under Milkwood Resort who made our experience so magical. Hope to revisit this stunning place again too. This resort deserves a 10 out of 10 rating!

Beautiful hut, great equipped, at low tide beautiful walks through the watt are possible. When it rains it will quickly grumpy, since simply built.

The nature and greenery adds an amazing feel of tranquility inside the beautiful wooden chalet.

Quit place outside from Knysna City. The whole complex consist out of more like 12 house, which are built completly with wood. Every house has there own terrace and a barbeque grill, perfect for lunch in the summertime. Inside you find a comfortable kitchen with oven, water boiler, fridge and dishes for selfmade food. Every night the hote staff makes controls in the whole hotel area, so you feel very safe in this complex.

Stayed here a couple of night. Was a great place to stay on the water.

Very modern and cozy apartments right on the foot of the lagoon. Private and pleasant setting. Kayaking available should you want to.

Great location to just get r&r staff are great and units are Wiley equipped, but the location sells itself.

Lovely wood chalets some with sea view. You have your own parking pace and it's a really nice resort. The chalet had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen and a barbecue grill. Everything was very good!

Super location right on the beach. Ideaal for small children as the water is shallow without waves. Canoes!

One of the most amazing places I've been to on vacation, kids loved it too. Definitely coming back and for a longer stay. Top service and the most relaxing atmosphere… Definitely a place to go for the whole family.

It's a great place for families, with braai/BBQ facilities, lovely log cabins and a tranquil atmosphere. Great location, lovely views, beautiful cabins. The staff were welcoming, friendly, professional and helpful. Great for water activities like Kayaking. The views from the small beach are gorgeous, and it's only a short walk to the Knysna Heads. It's great for peace and quiet, or a lovely stroll along the coastline under the trees. Older people or those with walking impairments may struggle with some of the stairs, since the resort is on a slope. Not all the cabins are affected (just the upper ones), but bear it in mind when you book. Get a cabin that is on a flat area if this is a concern. I've added some photos of the beach at the resort, and locations within 200m of it. It's gorgeous, the scenery is wonderful.

Heaven on earth for kids, much less windy than normal swimming beaches and very safe and children friendly. The complimentary kajaks are so much fun. Chalets are excellent too, fully serviced and equipped with everything you might need. Very clean, and very friendly staff and life savers. We would love to come back in the future.

Wonderful place to stay! Nice beach and superb restaurant just 100m away. Enjoy paddling in the bay with canoe.

Paradise on earth! Lovely cosy self catering chalets well equiped (with Le Creuset pots, spoons, teapots and mugs none the less! ) fantastic easy access to the beach. Friendly staff. This is a 10 stars location for tje beauty of the location!
