As a uct student who had to evacuate and needed a place to sleep, I never expected to end up in such a lovely and welcoming place. The owners are absolutely wonderful, incredibly helpful and made sure we felt safe and comfortable.
My room was lovely and spacious, with a very comfy double bed, very clean and neat, but still very homey. The en suite bathroom was lovely too, equipped with soap and shampoo as well as towels.
In the morning you get a lovely breakfast with delicious fresh guava juice which you can enjoy inside the dining area or outside. Outside you have a sheltered dining area with tables and chairs. Then further outside are couches and loungers around a lovely big pool where you can relax to the sound of chirping birds.
All I can say is a massive thank you to the owners of this wonderful guesthouse establishment, all the students you housed are eternally grateful for everything you did.

Mountain Manor is an amazing building dating back to the 1850's. Their attention to detail, from the decor, garden, veranda and service is remarkable.
The Wagyushop Food Van — that is at the manor every Thursday — serves the best quality burgers at very reasonable prices.
The setting, the food service and even fellow diners — deserve 5 stars all round.

Fabulous service. Michelle is hands on and helpful in every way. The Guest House is clean, spacious and has all modern amenities. Within walking distance to Gardens Shopping Centre and other major tourist attractions. The staff are friendly and breakfast is fresh and appetizing. Will definitely return.

Thank you for a great overnight stay last week. What a charming place, full of atmosphere, history and every comfort. Off road parking was a boon and breakfast before dashing to the airport was a treat. Super position to get around Cape Town. Highly recommended for a warm welcome, helpful and accommodating staff and really comfortable beds.

Location is good but Management could definitely be improved. I had specifically asked whether I could come with a trailer and still have a safe parking This I got confirmed but on arrival I had a major problem to get through the narrow road and gate in and the same problem on the other side out again the next morning. For breakfast several employees but only self service and Scamblesby eggs made from egg powder or such like.

Wow what a fantastic place to stay… staff very friendly and helpful owner is fantastic, the Manor is filled with history. Food fantastic and the room I slept in was out of this world… slept like a baby loved every minute of my stay will absolutely recommend it to people wanting a home away from home. Been here now for over a week and another to go. I don't think we could have chosen a better place for such a long stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are finished in charming period furniture and extremely comfortable and cosy. Staff go out of their way to be helpful. Location is perfect and convenient for just about anywhere being close to the highways and very close to city.

Stayed here the weekend had such an wonderful stay with lovely staff waitering at our every need. Had such a stunning braai at the pool side on saturday. Thank you for our perfect stay.

Takave nekugara kunorwadza = enjoyable stay! had an lovely stay when doing our staff training conference at Mountain Manor every chance I got I went to go ly on one of the lounges by the pool in the gorgeous sun. The food is amazing and out of the books. The first night we had a lasagne followed by an braai Saturday by the pool. Truly a wonderful spot for a conference.

I recently visited family in cape town and was blessed to stay at Mountain Manor where we were treated like royals. Our family often would stop by and even they where treated like royal guests. We had a lovely family brunch beside the pool under the lovely oak trees where we of course enjoyed a dip in the pool. Truly a great place to unwind and find tranquility. Already booked our stay for next year February. Thank you Mountain Manor staff for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday!

This has been my 4th stay at Mountain Manor for business travel, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I was able to do my emails and work beside the pool over looking the oak trees. I will highly recommended this place for business or holiday travel the staff are all friendly and go the extra way. Will be back for many more stays.

Perfect location in the gardens. Away from the city centre noise and then again still close by. Staff are wonderfully friendly specially with suggestions on what to do in and around town. Buffet breakfast was just perfect for me and my college enjoyed a cooked breakfast which looked just as good. Will be returning in 2months and look forward to it.

Its not often you walk in to a place and receive 5 star quality service from staff, specially after a long day.
We checked in at 12:00 midnight and was offered a cup of tea with a smile regardless of the time it was from such a friendly Alex.
We stayed 3 days and each morning received hot breakfast on a warm plate-which one does not get often.
The staff are all friendly, we even had got a chance to meet the lovely owner Michelle which suggested the perfect dinner place.
We will most defiantly suggest this place to anyone traveling to Cape Town.

We were welcomed by very friendly staff, making us feel very welcome and at home. It is a beautiful place. Exactly what you expect from a manor house from that era and all the furniture is time correct. It seriously felt like I went back in time. Thanks for a very nice weekend. A special thanks to Alex and the other weekend staff. Always a smile on their faces and eager to assist.

Went there 3 years back. Got to the place and was extremely dissapointed. No proper entrance, no one to welcome you and it is situated right next to a school. Most certainly not for us Joburgers who drive so far. We expect more from a holiday… these pics are most deceiving.

Great central accomodation within walking distance of shops and restaurants, lovely outside area to relax and have a swim.

Nothing wrong with the place but you know people have issues from their places. We are also facing the same problem of haterage from taxi side they can smile at you but later they will send bad comment after you drop them.

Poor condition of rooms, Not clean. Bad services and the owner is really rude, staffs are not working correctly. And they also steal from your bags which you must be very careful of. And there is no activity at all, there is nothing to do in this backpack.

Rustic and has that "at home" feel.

It was a nice place with clean beds good rates. About 15 min walk to downtown. The kitchen was a bit limited but accommodated us fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a back porch with a great view of table mountain.
