Beautiful views… Love their wine… Friendly staff… A great host… Great food.

We had the most wonderfullll experience! Chantelle and the staff took such good care of us, keeping our drinks full and making sure service is EXCELLENT! The AMAZING chef Josh and his Kitchen staff made us the most DELICIOUS food and a AMAZING BIRTHDAY CAKE! Thank you so Verry much for all you guys had done to make our day special as you guys did! You will most definitely see us soon!

An amazing venue for a romantic getaway, a special occasion or even a small wedding. Beautifully appointed rooms, surrounded by mountains, vines and olive trees. Friendly and professional management and staff and really great cuisine and wine! what a winner!

What an awesome discovery this was on our way back from Knysna last Monday. Stopped here for a great lunch. We did a family wine tasting and kids had an array of lawn games to keep them entertained. As we left our car wouldn't start and we had to wait a few hours to be rescued… But what a place to get stuck! François was so wonderfully welcoming, it felt like we were visiting a friend. Our lovely waitress was so kind and patient with our 3 kids and the kids even had a lesson in how to crack open pecan nuts which grow on the farm! A few bottles of wine later and another yummy meal, we got rescued… We will definitely be back! Thank you for your kindness, warmth and hospitality! From the Sharps xx!

WHAT an amazing experience WE had! Upon arrival we where greeted by the receptionist Karin what an amazing, fantastic, kind hearted woman WE felt home right away. A few minutes later we met Francois another hand picked all rounder who can do everything and who always has a friendly smile and always willing to help. And lastly the AMAZING waitresses what can I say? They gave us the best service during breakfast, lunch and dinner! Without them the environment won’t be the same. JHG is 10/10 we will be back. I felt soooooo special and we WILL be back. Keep up the amazing work! When we return can’t wait to see everybody again. A beautiful farm with a 5 star attitude. The rooms a beautifully decorated and really comfortable. The food is delicious. The wine is really good and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Would go back in a heartbeat.

This is a treasure of an estate!
The staff (WOW, the staff) are more then accommodating and made a huge and successful effort to accommodate a grain-free vegan as well as a gluten-free patron. We felt special and like royalty our entire 3 day stay.
I can highly recommend the restaurant, wine and accommodation and we will definitely be back in the near future.

A true piece of Heaven. Superb attention to detail all over the property, top service all around, amazing meals put forth with love and care. A place where you can truly escape from every day life. Next time I'm staying 2 nights! Bonus — where in the world do you get a complimentary car wash from your lodging establishment before your departure? The team at Jan Harmsgat has the utmost care for their guests. I can't wait to return!

Stopped for lunch on our way to Stellenbosch. Beautiful place and excellent food. Bought pomegranate juice which was delicious. A little oasis.

We had the pleasure of having dinner at your restaurant quite a few times, and we absolutely loved it. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and especially the attention to detail were the best to be had in the region. What struck us even more was the impeccable customer service and the personal touch. We will be back!

Kwetu Guest Farm.

Lovely place to stop outside Swellendam. We dropped in by coincidence and a bit late for lunch. Still they set a table for us and made us feel very welcome. Prices were modest and food was tasty. I could combine it with a bit of wine tasting and found a nice Shiraz. They have a beautiful outside terrace with children facilities. In general I saw more beautiful vineyards in more stunning settings, but it is a lovely and very quiet place.

Lovely country estate. Great restaurant for light lunches. Service sometimes a bit slow.

This place was one of my favourite spots in south Africa. It has absolutely beautiful grounds. Our room was stunning with a huge comfy bed, roll top bath and spacious dressing area and lounge. We enjoyed one night here and I wish we'd stayed a week. The salt water pool is a great place to spend a few hours lounging. I highly recommend pre-booking the picnic for lunch. It was delicious! Such a gorgeous location under the pecan trees. Dinner was great too, preceded by a lovely (if slightly serious) wine tasting. The steak was great, leave room for a dessert, the pecan tart was delicious! I hope to return one day.

Excellent wine and incredible top quality food. BUT over priced with very slow kitchen. Waitress was attentive and pleasant.

We had lunch and enjoyed the wine tasting. The food was delicious, tasty and paired well with the wines. Their wines are definitely out of the ordinary. (ciabatta with olive chutney and feta … paired with the shiraz… yummy). The venue is beautiful. Playground for kids and parents can relax close by. Beautiful garden… pecan nut trees and OLIVE trees. You can also enjoy a romantic picnic under the trees. Definitely my favorite.

It's just too good to be true! After a six month South African road trip, this was the beest experience. Staff are excellent, best reception, excellent wives tasting, rooms testify to an exceptional dedication to detail. Food I the restaurant superb.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay… such peaceful surroundings and the food was amazing — had rack of lamb and sucked the bones dry … such flavour! can't wait for the chance to go there again… thoroughly recommended x.
