It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff is friendly, from reception to house waitresses to housekeeping. But I would however like for the housekeeping to clean properly, I found a sock under the bed and slept 3nights there and its still there.

Lack of communication
Lack of maintenance
Not cleaning the rooms properly
Not emptying the toilet bins.

I love their service 100%

This is the best place to book in, it's home away from home all services were on the excellent level.

Very peaceful and love the Decor.

On my first night I had a horrible experience. Plugs not working and Aircon not working I was in room 215, I could not work last night, I had to force them to move me to another room. So I was honestly tortured. It was extremely difficult to sleep as hot as it was. And still I paid the full price with such discounted service.

What a great find. Awesome service. Beautifully clean bedding and comfy beds. Bathroom beautiful and modern with amazing shower head This is my new halfway stop for sure! I’m so happy I booked here.

Whenever I'm in Kathu I stay here. Big rooms with free Wi-Fi what more for you need. Friendly staff and always helpful. I checked in yesterday 28 Augt for a two day stay. The breakfast was a disappointment. From the scramble eggs to the hard and overfried bacon just to mention a few. The biggest disappointment was my room. I was working a big part of the day and when I came back to my room at 15h00 it was the way I left it. I was really looking forward to a nice nap. At 16h30 my room was still not clean. By 16h45 someone came to clean my room. But she ask me if I need anything. And when I said no she left without even making up my bed. I think this is my last stay in aha Kathu. For R1000 a night you definitely expect beter…

Friday was great. Shower hot.
Sat. Breakfast was beautiful and fresh. Sat night water warm. But had great coffee. I'm hoping Sunday breakfast is gona be great too. Thank you. Hour hotel is nice and cool.

I stayed at aha kathu for three months due to working in the area on a contract basis. During this period I observed that the service is poor, especially considering the high price. The entire month of January there was no dinner service. On numerous occasions I would return from work only to find my room has not been cleaned. Don't bother with lunch packs as you never get what you requested. Some of the ground floor rooms I stayed in had peeling paint and water damage. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of one is due to some staff that were friendly. Overall a poor performance by aha Kathu. I will not be staying there again.

No hot water to shower for hole week and airkon not working room is like a freezer complaining the hole week nothing been done.

I’ve complain to the management about someone who stole my shoes and sneakers from the hotel room and NO ones owns up to that. That’s a very disappointing experience for such a reputable brand. The next thing the cleaner admits that she didn’t see anything. So I guess they stole themselves. Thank you guys for the bad experience I’ve had with you.

Staff very friendly and my overall stay was pleasant. Facility is so clean and modern.

The breakfast is well prepared. The only flaw was disabling my access before my check out date and I had to go back downstairs to tell them of my checkout date before reactivation. Oh plus the beds are too hard. The interior of the rooms is beautiful and is well situated in front of a shopping mall.

Poor service from very laid back staff. Had to ask for room to be cleaned at 2pm, they hadn't done so since the morning, no toilet tissue, 2 shampoo no body wash in shower, no water at hotel for hours… Stay elsewhere if you can.

Good food and staff. But needs to be more strict on smokers and provide a covered smoking patio. People keep smoking in their rooms every time it gets a little wet outside.

Fantastic from the architecture to the service. Loved the late check out time of 11:00.

Value for money accommodation that serves a decent breakfast. Rooms are spacious and clean, but bathrooms only offer a shower. There is a mall with restaurants opposite. Parking can get limited if the hotel is full so park early and walk over to the mall for supper.

Very quite place and peace of mind. I will definitely visit again.

We will not be returning to this Hotel ever again. On my arrival the receptionist was on her phone busy, didn't even notice I was standing there, I had to say "hallo" before I received reaction. Our room was dusty. The phone in our room rang two times at 02:30am, when we answered, there were no reply. The carpet on the way to the rooms was dirty. Again there were no one at reception when we left on Sunday so we just left the room key and left. We were planning on having breakfast the morning but didn't even bother because of the bad service we received.
