Oh, how I miss this place! I lived in Maputo, Mozambique for a few years and LOVED weekends at Utopia in Africa. It is a stunning, relaxing, welcoming place run by a lovely family. I hope to return one day.

Home away from home. I've been here almost monthly for almost two and the service, warmth and relaxation cannot get any better.

Friendly host and staff, lovely breakfast and a beautiful view from both the room and deck. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

We met for a special ladies gathering. We all loved the eclectic, vibrant decor and really appreciated being left to ourselves with a very unobtrusive supply of refreshments at the appropriate time. Thank you Utopia, what little we saw was special!

A great little guesthouse in the villa hills in the south of Nelspruit/Mbombela. With love, the house as well as the rooms are furnished, you immediately feel at home here. There is nothing missing in the rooms, they are large and very clean, there is always coffee and tea as well as a confidence fridge for all other drinks. But the most beautiful is the cosy terrace with a spectacular view over the hills of Nelspruit, cosy sitting areas and ottomans invite you to relax and dream. For us a successful conclusion to our trip to Africa, the trip to JNB airport takes about 3, 5 hours on well-developed Higways.

Good tranquil stay over, thatched roof can be dusty for people with hayfever problems, good breakfast, soondproofing of rooms not so good, still a good stopover for one night stays.

Utopia in Africa is one of these rare special places. A perfect location overlooking a valley which gives you the impression of being in a tree house, tranquil and close to nature. Style and class in every detail, in every part of the house. An extremely friendly and helpful staff (thanks again for the delicious vegetarian dinner). And finally a guest family which welcomes you with their heart. For us it has been a wonderful time!

After the now-closed Mattafin Lodge, our favourite place to stay in Nelspruit. Each room is unique, so ensure you find one that suits your tastes and needs. The morning breakfast on the large deck overlooking the local valley is a great way to start the day. Owners are friendly and talented (ask about the artwork on the walls).

Wow this was outstanding! From the hostess to the girls in the kitchen. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks for making my time away from home so special.
