Indeed it's a place to relax, neatly and the food it's good I will recommend to my friends and family if they want to visit polokwane.

Worst experience of my life! Will never recommend your shoddy and badly run hotel. An embarrassment to the protea group! Your staff have no control over this terrible place. I am currently in my room wide awake because people are drinking smoking hubbly and screaming around the pool at 11.45pm! Lastnight was at 2.30 am! No rest second night in a row and there's nothing that anyone can do even after calling reception 4 times. This is absolutely illegal and appauling. It's establishments like this that are encouraging the spread of the coronavirus because they do not listen to the presidents rules of an 11pm curfew! Rules need to be in place especially around partying and the pool area! But thus hotel has no rules. It's worse than any place I have ever been to! Dont waste your money and get bluffed by the Protea name because this hotel is worse than a cheap trailer park!

Situated along the way, get peace of mind very clean. Need to buy new kettles and bar fridge.

Was not impressed by our room. What u see on the internet is not at all like the actual room. We had to constantly be asking for towels because somehw they seemed to have forgotten. Also had to ask for toilet tissue. Those 'free' toiletries seemed to be for one day only bcos after they had cleaned the room on the first day, they were not replaced. Their bathroom was most disappointing as it didnt seem like any real effort was put into cleaning it. The drain in the shower seemed like it was getting blocked or it was supposed to be like that, but having a shower in there wasn't enjoyable at all bcos the water wont go down the drain quik enough. The duvets were all lumpy & had this dull smell on them. The dude by the reception tho was an absolute gem! So charming & friendly. We expected better from a 'Marriot' as they are a trusted and quite popular hotel group. I doubt we wud stay there again shud we find ourselves in Polokwane again.

Accessible, beautiful spacious rooms. Negatives : no popular DSTV channels except sports, Radio stations also not available only Metrofm was bored as I don't watch SABC channels. No bar fridge in the rooms.

This is one of the best Protea hotels I've been to, the staff here works with a smile and they do their work whole heartedly. I'm privileged to have experience their service.

The staff is nice but the facilities, not so much. I was checked in a room with an aircon that doesn't work and it was so cold. My colleague had been checked in a room where there was already somebody staying in. Oh and don't order chicken. Whatever you do.

They prepare good food, and the staff is nice. However, housekeeping was less desiring: one had to continuously ask for numerous items that were suppose to be in the room.

Private, Clean, Affordable luxury rooms, comfortable, complementary tea and coffee in room, house keeping every day, good TV channels, private phone in room, restaurant menu order for in room dining, room service, only disturbing high way traffic noise 24/7. Free Wi-Fi.

Hi, Generally the standard is kept emaculate and I'm still impressed except very little odds due to poor communication. 1. Shower tap has wrong directions of cold and hot water and I showered with cold water. No prior communication about this until I asked. I took it light that the hot water was depleted as they might had many customers. 2. In a dinning room, I selected menu but I was served with different items without consulting me. When I asked I was then told the other item was out of stock. If I didn't ask, what then? Lack of communication. It is not good to compromise my rights as customer to please the service provider with my money. 3. The bed side lamp's bulb waŕs off; I had books to read including my bible but illumination was inadequate. 3.1. Again if I didn't bring my bible along, I'd not read it before I sleep. Culturally, the Protea Hotels were keeping bibles at disposal for any interested client to go throw few verses before going to bed. Perhaps was only this room 142 of landmark Polokwane. Still they became aware when I complained about bulb which was out of order. I didn't raise a concern about a bible I had mine. Thanks Noko WM.

Just 3 stars. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Just not up to the outstanding quality of the rest of the Marriott — Protea group. It's still really great value for money.

It is a great place for stop over to get some sleep. They have good breakfast setup.

A nice place to sleep but there sure is some room for improvement, I really don't fency showers in the bath tub for example.

I'm having such a horrible experience here at Protea Hotel, Marriott, Polokwane. Its 23:25pm, My crew and I should be sleeping now but since we got here around 19:30pm there is an event and they have been making so much noise, screaming, clapping hands, etc. My room its just next to where there event is happening. And whats worse is that I asked the reception what time will the event end, so that I can wait for them to finish then be able to sleep and I was told 21:00pm, by 22:00pm they were still making noise, I spoke to the manager and all she could say is that she is sorry but this people asked for extra hours. I mean I chose Protea Hotel for peace of mind, tomorrow my crew and I have a shoot that we doing here in Polokwane and my crew and I are unable to sleep, we booked 3 rooms and all of them are next to where this event is happening and all we get is sorry. My crew have been coming to my room complaining to me. Is this how much Protea Hotel in Polokwane does not value us as clients, because I believe if we had to make such a noise they would kick us out. They dont deserve a star but I have to so that im able to post this and hope they show it on their website. I'm really dissapointed considering how excited I was coming here, I could have choosen any other place but I chose this one but I really regret it.

A changed hotel from the last time I was here. It's revamped to give it a competitive look.

Centrally located, large rooms with a small balcony. Friendly and competent staff.

Nice and clean. Lost a star cause I did not get service in the restaurant on the second evening. First evening the service was splendid.

I have been here and enjoyed every second of my life.
