It’s Like a ghost town, currently in liquidation I believe and one look tells you why. Shame as it’s potential is enormous, hopefully a buyer will be found who can restore it to its former glories.

This accommodation is by far the worst I have had to experience in my entire life and we lay our blame with both Lekkeslaap and the Hans Merensky “hotel” and “spa”. I cannot express how extremely dilapidated this entire place is. We did not enjoy a moment at this place, we suffered through it for long enough and actually left a day early. From the outset and throughout we were utterly disappointed to the point that our entire holiday was nearly ruined. … Lees verder.

Probably the nicest work camp I have ever stayed in. Actually it is a Golf Resort.

I was helped by Roos-Mare from the Spa what a great service and very friendly and helpfull. Will always remember the experience.

Checked in room 11 last night, The place is wow, their rooms are very clean and so comfortable ❤️however they need to train their staff how to treat their guests in a dinner table we were assisted by Tiyi honestly she was impatient and it was 5 of us on the table no warm smile nothing, I had to even ask her name after we needed something on the table, well I would like to come back, but when I think of the service last night is a no.

I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to the Hans Merensky Spa! My friend and I decided to get a pedicure & a back neck & shoulder massage — it was such an amazing relaxing experience — I had never had a more professional friendly & relaxing massage and we enjoyed it quite a lot — we felt so relaxed we didn't want to drive home and could have easily slept the day away in your spa room! Thank you so very much for everything ladies!

Second time round, I had to call for aircon not working. This place is totally overpriced.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great food and service.

I was so disappointed at how rude and bad of a service we received from the reception and restaurant staff. We called the hotel to inform them that we'll be arriving after 9pm so that we find our dinner ready. Upon arrival we were made to wait an hour in the dinning hall only to be told that it's too late for dinner so we had to carry our dinner (and luggage) to the rooms. There was no porter to assist. The rooms had cracked walls and the the toilet was leaking. Definitely not value for money. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Is a nice place to relax your mind. I like the place and they rooms and Bar.

Impressive entrance hall. Grounds are neglected and golf course does not look good. There is a lot of maintanance to be done. Staff is very friendly though.

Beautifull rooms golf course. Amazing Spa en friendly staff. Bushveld scenery. Feels as if youre in the Game reserve already. On our way there tomorrow Kruger Lodge.

What was sold in their website is the total opposite of the service we got… the money we paid was too much for the standard of the rooms we were put it. Firstly, the lights were off when we arrived there. No porter to escourt us to the rooms! We paid R666 for a buffet with a dull dinner menu, we're never advised of how much our bill would be. I would NEVER refer anyone to visit this place.

Perfect example of how incompetence can ruin an awesome place. So much potential… Someone please buy the place and manage it to full potential! Still not all ruined. A great round of golf and the restaurant is not bad.

A great shame to see this awesome lodge falling apart.

The restaurant service sucks. You wait for ages to get food that is already prepared. Once you get the food; you will end up having to remind them of cutlery. To top it all you wait again to get the bill while it is being written by hand. Who still use box TV that is not even connected to Dstv in 2018. And your beds have a depression, my body ached.

This is a filthy hotel, cocroaches seem to be employed in their dinning area. Eating food there is at your own risk.

It's a really nice place, but there currently isn't any order there because of the new management. But everything else is good.

Absolutely disgusted in the condition of the golf course and then they still have the balls to charge A grade rates… better courses in Jhb cost less… no fairways or covered with high weeds, greens are black and dead and large holes all over the place… pathetic!

Generally a good place to get out and relax. The hotel allows for day visitors to eat at their restaurants which is a big bonus. The place is beautiful with beautiful scenery.

General maintenance is not good, facilities are relatively old. It is a certain distance from the town and the nearest supermarket. Networking is hard to wait. In the evening dark, there are wild animals, including leopards swimming around. The advantage is that the environment is beautiful and there is a golf course. If you live, there's no need to live here. It's good to play ball during the day, or turn around.

We stayed there many times years ago and loved it. Now things are not good. The new management very poor. There was no Eskom power, lights in rooms late in afternoon with a generator. Very difficult to get cold beer or cold anything as 'fridges were not running all day. Stock levels also poor. Service poor.
