Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was not ready though. We had to phone reception for spoons, towels, extra bedding. Food that we ordered for room service was cold and dissatisfying. Beware of monkeys, they’re quite brave and will walk right into your room looking for good. We received a discounted price for the water park next to the hotel. Beautiful stretch of beach with easy access from hotel. Gorgeous views.

The iconic Wild Coast Sun is one of the prides of the East coast of South Africa. Being one of the oldest casinos in the Sun International Umbrella it provides great entertainment for both adults and children. With a brilliant t waterpark, stunning golf course and located on the wild side of the Indian Ocean it's definitely an experience worthy of its name.

Tired old lady but still has the sparkle it used to have. Rooms have been upgraded some time back. Unfortunately we arrived on a Tuesday and nothing was open. Only the buffet restaurant on the second floor. Food was poor in presentation and standard. Used to be great now mediocre. Very sad.

Always loved this casino. Needs a a real revamp. Got there on a Tuesday night and there was only one restaurant and the casino service bar open… The food in the buffet restaurant was mediocre to poor to say the least. Rooms although dated still comfortable and clean. Great staff.

Relaxing getaway with beautiful Views. The wildcoast sun offers lots of entertainment options including spa treatment and different food options. I felt very safe during my visit. The toilets need to be upgraded and cleaned more consistently — especially the toilets near the games arcade.

A decent enough hotel and resort. Nice decor, with friendly staff. The entrance fee was reasonable for day visitors. However, unless you are a guest of the hotel and/or want to gamble there is not much else to do there. A games area for kids, a couple of bars and restaurants. That's it. Not a worthwhile day stop for non-gamblers.

The Wild Coast Sun is upmarket, by no means new, but family orientated type stay. On the premises is so much to do besides the Casino. Wild waves, eating places including a Spur. Movie houses, lots of fun things to do for kids, also a lovely beach. Under cover parking. Not cheap but watch out for Specials.

Always love coming to this resort. Beautiful hotel with stunning views of the ocean (sea facing rooms). The game room for kids is quite big and exciting and there is a world class water theme park. Other activities include horse riding and water sports, like jet skiing. You can also take a guided (or unguided) stroll along the beach to check out some cool fossils. This is still a magical place.

I found the resort to be, overall, a great place to get away from it all and chill out. However, I booked my stay with the expectation that it was truly a 24/7 resort and it is not. Between midnight and 7am there is absolutely no way of getting a meal (the duty manager eventually rustled up a bacon and egg and sandwich at 4am). The only thing that is 24/7 are the slots and the only vending machines are for cigarettes. That said, once my expectations were adjusted I had a very pleasant second day. In my opinion the staff a well-meaning but poor trained and not empowered to serve guests to the best if their ability. I would consider a second stay, but only off-season as a crowded resort of this type would be insufferable for me.

Great water park and play area for the kids. Food court is a bit small but good selection of shops. Ample parking. Not the biggest casino but more than enough tables and machines available.

It's a beautiful place to go on holiday with family! If you're not very fond of water then don't come cause that and gambling are the best places to go to, oh yes and there's a kiddies play area where you can pay them to watch your kids so you can have alone time. The service is slow compared to places I've been.

Not a bad place to go. Boring if you are not a gambler, although the casino is very small by comparison to other casinos in the Sun International chain. Waterpark is cool. Great sea facing views and the hotel pool and bar is also very picturesque.

I was really looking forward to visiting this place again after so many years of not being there. Well what a disappointment, on arrival paid R20 to get in fail enough, arriving looked very good, garden's, the golf course. The parking area looked like it had not been looked after in about ten years. Wall cracked, paint peaking off just looked run down. The walk over to the Hotel very cool it's a pity that that them was not all the way through the Hotel. The walk through the Hotel looked average not the upmarket Sun International I was used to seeing high quality. The ocean side of the Hotel, the rooms from the out side was lacking, paint work, that run off on the walls, wall cracking, just looked again like run down, the garden's truly not looked after, over grown spice garden's, just again seamed as not up to a standard I would think of a Sun International or Southern Sun. Just very disappointed.

Clean facilities. Good food especially at Chicos. Specials offered regarding accommodation are appreciated. Most Valued Guests receive many benefits. Payouts on slot machine free games can be increased. We wait patiently for the bonus games and are disappointed when we do get them, some do not even pay out a cent.

If it were possible I would rate it zero stars. A simple curry and rice took so long to come out that the rest of our party were done eating a good ten minutes before the curry was ready. Other orders that came out while we were waiting got sent back because they were cold, and to get any attention at all at the counter you need to shout "Hello" continuously as the staff are non existent. Won't be coming back.

Still a fantastic place for a vacation. The rooms are old, and have a few really minor issues, but are clean and comfortable. The service is great with some isolated incidents of “lazy” staff bringing the services levels down. The beach is awesome and in no way crowded — even during the peak season. The pool is busy and really enjoyable. The water park is first class. The water sports exciting. The golf course looks amazing. The breakfast is awesome with a variety of dishes to suit every taste and “heat” preference.
