This is the best resting place after hard work throughout the year. Its ideal for individuals, family, groups and clubs. I just love the sound of animals and more especially the parrot (Isikhwenene).

This family orientated, loving, and caring lodge was one of the best places I have enjoyed staying at. Seems like there is no limits for them and the customers needs are always on their top list. A friendly crew welcomes you and makes sure your everyday needs are met. Even if u need a extra pan or a spoon. Or biltong for snacks. Lol… The rooms are spacious and well equipped. We brought our own sound system and they joined in our party… This weekend has been one of the most enjoyable weekends with the best admospheir I have had in a long while. Thumbs up Far Horizon! And a greater thumbs up to Geyser.! Excellent host! We will defenitly see u soon!

Beautiful hosts and amazing accommodation. Very earth friendly and super chilled vibe. Variety of interesting activities. Debbie goes out of her way to ensure a lovely stay.

I have read everyone's experience on the page and unfortunately cannot agree with what has been said. I made a booking on 09/12/2014 for me and my fiance to just break away for 3-4 days. We are from Port Elizabeth, so it took us over 10hrs to get there, arriving around 2pm on 15/12/14. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lady we came to know as the owner, Debbie. Not very friendly and avoiding eye contact. She showed us to our room. Upon entering the room I immediately saw that the pictures online and what we saw there was NOT the same. Beds were not made, showing dirty worn mattresses and the room itself looked DIRTY. On the site it was advertised the rooms have at least a 32inch tv, but ours had an old 54cm tv. Walking down the passage we saw a cockroach busy dying on the floor with two more dead ones behind the toilet we just HAD TO use. The shower was used by someone not to long before, showing dirty steps FROM the shower to the door. I feel that after the drive we had to undertake to get there, we deserved to just sit down and relax. But it was impossible. Instead I had to go back to the Wild Coast Sun and pay an arm and a leg for the last, canceled room available. We returned Debbie's keys and asked to refund my money, due to the state of the room and the false advertising. I know I could probably have demanded 100%, but agreed to accept 50%. Today it is one month later and no money has been refunded yet.

Far Horizon Lodge is the place to be. Its a very nice place. The service is excellent. More money m gonna spend more holidays here. There is one thing I love here ITS THE BREAKFAST IN THE ANIMAL FARM.

Horizon lodge in port Edward on the lights of 25.12. Not working no trash room smelled badly arrived was far away 3 beds after the second night, in which they take out only 1 AFTE, the ones we paid for it, that took even the pillows.
