If you ever in Underberg this is a must go to restaurant. Food is world class, scenery is to die for! 5 ***** rating! Definitely in my top 10 restaurants in SA.

We made a last minute booking and were welcomed by very friendly and accommodating staff. Dinner was absolutely delicious, enjoyed in a warm setting next to the fire place. We enjoyed breakfast in the same dinning room with spectacular views over the mountains the next morning.

We had the most amazing dinner with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, the service was also excellent. Special treatment for my birthday!

A very nice place to stay in Southern Drakensberg. A peaceful garden, amazing sunsets, a very friendly staff and a very good restaurant to relax after a day in the mountains.

Beautiful gardens and really good food. Rooms are spacious. Understaffed though what gives you the feeling that they have to rush all the time and brings down the relaxed atmosphere that one would expect.

Seriously disappointing. Service was fine but the food was really average. Much better options nearby. Such a shame as we were looking forward to it.

The staff are super accommodating and friendly. All round 5 stars. Will definitely be returning (even if just for the delicious linguini pasta).

I had a birthday dinner at Moorcraft Manor. Delicious food (5 star for a 4 star rated hotel) — great quality, perfect portion size and fantastic service. Definitely recommended — a gem in this little town.

Can only comment on the restaurant. It was great! Choose the steaks if you like meat, they were superb.

I made myself home five nights in Moorcroft and the thing I looked forward most when I woke up each morning was their breakfast (apart from the picturesque view before me when I drew the window curtains), and then there was always a sumptuous dinner to wait for me when I finished a day out in the wild. Not one meal ever disappointed me. The staff are all smiley people and the service is five-star. Slept like a baby in the comfortable room. Totally enjoyed my stay. Thank you everyone in Moorcroft. :-)

A fantastically secluded piece of tranquillity tucked away in the the farming lands of Natal. Great for a little bit of romance on a getaway or gathering friends and family for a get together on the rolling lawns and shady trees. Friendly helpful staff and you can sneak in a bit of fishing on the grounds.

We spent a lovely sunny winters day there. Beautiful place. Very friendly staff. Fantastic food. Our little one loved the grass area to play.

I am missing Moorcroft Manor… the beautiful view outside my well-appointed bedroom… with a deliciously cosy bed… the wonderful staff… and the fabulous food… the after-dinner drinks at the bar… mmmm Amarula… I cannot wait to return.

Lovely, classy Bed and Breakfast, but quite pricey for the area. Breakfast was full so service was slow. However rooms were beautiful, and dinner delicious, and staff excellent.

Very nice hotel under Swiss leadership, where value is placed on details. Large garden, very good restaurant with bar, beautiful rooms with view on the garden and towards pass. In winter there is a fire. Well suited as a starting point for a Sani pass tour.

Spacious lodging, well maintained and situated property, excellent starting point to trekking tours and Sani pass exploring in the sourrounding; cuisine does its best to pamper your stay while managers have not been visible.

What did I like about it — absolutely nothing! Pretty venue, atoricious service. We arrived with a booking made for a table for 9 and the table wasn't ready, let alone that it wasn't even on the kitchen staff reservation list, though the manager had it on us list. That was the beginning, what followed was that the table took 25 mins to lay out, we got ourselves our own menus, took our own drinks orders and then to top it off, the staff tells us that there is only a light menu for lunch and of we wanted the whole ala carte menus we should have told that when we made the reservation. Would be good to know when we called to make the reservation — some one could have had the brains to tell us perhaps. So after the drinks we left. Menu looks good… Service is.

Reservation was made, but tables were not set, no one brought our menus nor did anyone come to take our drinks order. On top of that all other guests had the option to choose from the lunch menu and we were told that we could only chose from the light menu. Reason being that we did not state in our booking that we wanted a'la Carte.

Fantastic accommodation verh peaceful, not far from the famous pass into Lesotho. Trout fishing dams.
