This place is awesome. It's close to gateway and the beach, but away from the noise. The room was bigger than I expected, and had kitchen facilities. The bar was awesome with friendly staff, even the guards there are very helpful. Definitely going back there whenever I visit Durban!

Thread bare towels. Stained carpets. Definitely not worth R1000 per night and definitely not a 3-star establishment. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

What makes these units great is that you have the option to self-cater with all the necessary appliances in the rooms, (quality products, I might add) while having the option to enjoy breakfast or dinner in the restaurant downstairs as well. Rooms are tidy and well equipped, ample parking, Wifi is good, etc. All round a pleasant stay.

We are having a great time. Great staff. Great place. Clean n comfortable rooms.

An affordable hotel to stay over while in Durban with self service options like a stove, washing machine, fridge and microwave oven. The hotel also has a pool and gym. However, it appears that the spa has closed down.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room was neat and well equipped with a few self catering amenities. Breakfast selection was decent.

Great place with gym and indoor pool. Restaurant as well as a bar. Great service. Restaurant food can do with improvements. Coffee bar no longer exists. No longer a spa and sauna in the building. Lovely conference centre. Beautiful entrance. Close to malls and other shops. Convenient.

The AHA Urban Park is nice hide away in Umhlanga Ridge, the rooms are more standard than one would expect I have seen some hotels in this area with much larger rooms. All things being said if you on business then this is perfect for you. I would have appreciated some extra amenities, the staff are amazing very help, front desk gets 5 stars from me.

I had mouldy bed sheets which they didn't seem to even care about when I spoke to them. The spa has closed down but they don't tell you on the website. The reception didn't see my booking was for two people even though there was clearly two of us standing there. We had to ask for someone to help us with our baggage. Not a great experience I'm afraid.

Great self catering unit. Well kept and well serviced. They also provide shuttle within a 5 km radius, which you can use to get to Gateway Shopping Mall easily. I enjoyed my stay.

Very friendly hotel, Large room with kitchen and fully equipped Nice swimming pool inside the hotel with large screen for soccer lovers. I was amazed and comfortable.

Friendly staff, rooms are actually 4-Star quality and the food is absolutely divine! Worth your money.

Hotel is beautiful. Self owned apartments are disgusting. Not maintained. Not clean at all.

No sea view or any view just apartments and no breakfast included if booking via discovery. Shuttle service be nice though. Rooms opend plan meaning shower and bedroom are togather. Kitchern is decent with essentials.

Upmarket look and feel. The interior is just a bit dark, I guess it's the look of the decor.

If I could give a 0 rating I would have, terrible hotel just dont go there, service is pathetic if existant at all. 1) there is no proper indication of where to park your vehicle. 2) there is junk and rubble in a 3rd of the parking bays. 3) no one showed us to our room so we where walking up and down to find our room. 4) there is no dedicated person to help with your bags, we received a barman to help with our bags after waiting for him for 45min and calling reception 4 times. 5) our room was stuffy and smelt like wet cat, we then asked to be moved to another room that was exactly the same. There aircon units are also not serviced often enough, after the 3rd room we were sent to their sister hotel but when we got there they could only help us for one night and not 3 nights so went back for refund (as their manager suggested) to go somewhere else. 6) The refund, what a pain up the a we were asked to fill in a form and that the refund will be paid in a couple of days, its been 16 days and 10 emails and 5 phone calls and no refund as yet. Talking nicely doesnt work, they just done care about their customers. Seriously one of the worst hotel experiences ever. Ive seem better 1 star motels then this place. Really sad to have to take legal action just for a refund. Should be a 0 rating!

Place had cockroaches in the rooms (and found one at the reception too). Room was not very clean (sticky floors and mould growing in bathroom). No spa at the hotel like the name suggests. On the plus side there was a giant screen at the pool area and it was a quiet hotel. Won't be returning though.

Classy and quiet. Perfect for a dew nights stay whilst you visit beautiful Umhlanga.

Clean. Tidy. Comfortable. The food is great and the staff are friendly and fun.

Hotel is average. There is no TV in the bedroom, only in the lounge area of the room. There is no information sticker on the phone to indicate what number to dial if you need help. I had to use my phone to call reception. TV's in rooms are left on, I had to call reception to come and switch-off the TV in the unoccupied room next to mine as I couldn't sleep, volume was loud. Dinner was nice though!

Staff need to be trained. Great rms. Gym not maintained well. Lift out of order for a long time. Lovely indoor pool. Not heated though.

Went there on business and had a very pleasant stay. Friendly staff and very nice food (breakfast in the mornings). Rooms were neat and clean, and the rooms have a microwave and stove in the kitchen which works well should you be on a budget. They offer free Wifi, however they only give you 100MB per day. Very close to the Gateway Mall, situated right across the Porsche dealership. They have a Spa and gym facilities on the premises as well as their own restaurant.

Really lovely hotel. Rooms are very neat. Staff are friendly. Good breakfast. Location is good. Near the Gateway mall and also easy access to freeways.

Nice place. Friendly service (can be a bit slow though). Nice pool — not heated, so gives you a nice shock chill sometimes. The lifts were always breaking down and then the other lift would be locked and require a key to entry which only residents had. Drove me nuts. Excellent food.

A decent hotel, situated in a soulless urban environment. Staff and service are good, and it is within easy commute distance of Umhlanga beaches and Durban… as long as you have a car. The views are limited, and the dining space next to the indoor pool is loud and echoey.

Stayed here for 2 months. The apartment was nice enough, but the road outside is used by locals to have 'Who had the loudest car' competitions.

I stayed here for 4 months in one of the privately-owned apartments. Great safe location with lots of things to do nearby. Reasonable gym facilities but the pool is as cold as an Icelandic lake — best avoided unless wearing a wetsuit.

Im having lovely stay here, good food and amazing spa.
