Lovely place. A good restaurant at hotel.

Amazing venue well looked after.

The rooms are OK. It's a a very large resort, fairly well kept and clean. Was frustrated that they were unable to accommodate vegan meals, despite this being communicated before the stay. I ate over cooked rice and the same mixed veg for 5 of the 6 meals. Found it overall very average.

Had an absolutely wonderful weekend. I went for spa Treatment was helped by Amanda wow she is very friendly and accommodating I give her 10 out of 10 for her service. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly throughout our stay. Will surely book a weekend there again.

Awesome accomodation, having a golf cart was such a highlight, the food by the pool was wonderful. The kids had the best time!

Absolutely friendly staff who saw to our requests immediately. We stayed in the Deluxe suite and the accommodation was immaculate. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings Lavish breakfast. Enjoyed every moment of our stay at San Lameer and will definitely be coming back. Just 2 minor setbacks: 1. DSTV package needs an upgrade. 2. The bathroom was spacious and immaculate. Water pressure must be increased. Highly recommended.

We had no internet and had poor Wi-Fi in our rooms. We regret booking a week here. Had to spend money on data to have internet. Also the passages and steps are dirty which contract to the nice rooms.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The villa 2026 is one of the best, so clean and leaves you feeling welcome and warm. Great place.

Absolutely beautiful stay. Everything was literally perfect. And I couldn't have had a more special stay since it was my son's 1st birthday. Staff and Resort staff are so friendly and accommodating in every way possible. Amazing food and amazing facilities at the resort. We will deffintly be back!

My kids love the pool and the beach is safe with lifeguards. Staff is friendly. Beautiful place this was our second visit and will be back.

The hotel and restaurant are a bit tired, lack ambiance. The room is clean but the remote I’d damaged, the chair is broken and the shower is impossible to keep at an evenntemperature. Internet in the room is only available if you stand by the door and hold your phone aloft. The staff are great but a little disengaged — not excited by their role to make the guest welcome and feel valued.

Just had dinner there and it was amazingly delicious… the service was awesome and we had a fabulous evening. Thank you for the quality and very very reasonably priced meals. Our evening concluded with a 5 star experience.

Luxurious resort. Safe and secure. Access to Trafalgar and Marina Beach Blue flag beaches. Some surprising renovations were made since Nov 2017 to the one swimming pool by adding the deck/s and kiddie slides. Well done.

San Lameer Resort Villas is beautiful. The villas are perfect for a family. The unit we stayed in was beautiful, close to the beach entrance and to the dam. Definitely will be back. The unit also had most things in terms of cutlery which was great!

A great resort in stunning, tranquil settings. From the hotel to self catering units. Several leisure activities to do from canoeing, paddling, stand up boarding, etc in the adjacent lagoon. The complex is huge and has its own MTB track and one can also go for runs all along. Several tennis courts are also part of the complex. A brisk walk to the beach and other amenities is also possible. Well maintained gardens, etc although the monkeys can be bothersome.

Excellent facilities at this resort. There is a spaza shop inside the resort so there is no need to travel outside the resort for essential items. The golf course is in pristine condition and there is a lovely large pool to socialize with other people.

We Always have a great stay at San Lameer. Great units with amazing activities for the whole family.

Excellent value for money, high level of customer service, lovely private beach and delicious breakfast. The hotel restaurant also serves a good range of evening meals.

The place is outdated. Mirrors in room were faded, misted sort of look from age. Staircases and hallways were dirty, stained. Place has a lot of potential. A good revamp is required. Beds and room was very neat. Restaurant food was great. Service overall was pleasant.

Beautiful resort and amazing service. It's the lack of halaal food options that was a damper for us though. Had to travel 25-35min to shelly beach to get Halaal food.

Soo… Let's start at the room, which is nice and has some good features like a nespreso machine and a decent flat screen. The bed is not too bad and of a good size, room is air-conditioned. It has a somewhat classy feel and some romance.
However the shower cubical needs some work as the water pours out of the bottom and onto bathroom floor. Light switches are a bit finicky to get them on (perhaps just the room we were in) Facilities are well maintained ie the pools and slid…es. The food… Well, it's not a case of you get what you pay for in this case. Meals are pricey and not worth the amount in my opinion. I don't mind paying if the food is good or exceptional.
First night ordered a steak, medium and the girlfriend had a burger. After a really long wait about 45 minutes plus the food arrived. Steak was rather well done and tough and the separate side sauce I ordered was just enough to cover the top, chips was alright. Rather underwhelming for R180.
Lunch we had the the chicken pita with chips which was better that the steak atleast… This also took a rather long time to arrive.
Second night I decided lets keep it simple and we had 2 burgers and chips… Boy did they take a long time, 55 minutes. No one came to fill us in on the meals and I was annoyed by now… Called a staff member to ask about it, no response… Great. Eventually food arrived and the girlfriends burger was missing an ingredient… Hash browns.

This is an amazing place for a getaway. They have all the facilities one would require and some extra their is n great restaurant with awesome food. There is also a cosy bar/ lounge area. The hotel also has n big pool and lounge area. The staff are friendly and helpful and would definitely visit again.

Wonderful vacation destination for families with excellent staff and even better facilities. Book in advance for the Camelot spa experience and enjoy Marina beach and the beautiful scenery. You will not want to leave.

I think these reviews are either pretentious or people that really don’t go on good holidays. I also think bad reviews get deleted. This is the most horrifying experience. The most expensive cheap holiday I ever had and people are climbing the walls because of the terrible experience. I will post a detailed break down soon but I would not in a lifetime recommend this place to anyone!

San Lameer is truly a wonderful, relaxing environment, equipped with many villas to buy/rent and an amazing hotel and spa. The hotel is equipped with 2 pools and a lovely restaurant. I'd highly recommend it for a family holiday or an unwinding relaxing place.

Facilities are quite nice, fair number of activities to do here too. The rooms are fairly well-furnished and clean, but very small. Unfortunately my holiday here was mired by too many issues, our room booking was messed up when we arrived, with the rooms not adjacent as we'd requested. This problem was sorted out the following day by a move, but even so, we still had other problems such as a broken extractor fan, a leaking shower, and strange-smelling air-conditioning. However, the staff were very obliging and did their best to sort out our issues. Despite their efforts, these still put quite a damper on our holiday. My biggest let-down here was with the hotel food, the Lagoon Bar and Grill/Terrace had nice menus, but the actual execution of the meals was acceptable at best, their steaks are alright, as are the burgers, but nothing to write home about. And with the lack of decent restaurants (and very highly booked few decent restaurants) on the South Coast meant that we were relegated to this restaurant on many occasions. You are better off eating at the Country Club restaurant. On the one occasion that we used room service, the Chicken Picatta I ordered took very long to arrive, and was not an enjoyable meal at all, it was not a standard Chicken Picatta, and the chicken was tough and lukewarm. The breakfast buffets were always nice however, and my eggs were always done correctly.

The place has all facilities and it's a nice family holiday outing. My problem is that there is no provision for wheelchair, the ramp is too steep hence dangerous and not for wheelchair.

Great place to enjoy a weekend away, private beach, lagoon, sport facilities, magnificent golf course, hotel and spa, winning pools kids entrainment, tennis courts, mountain bike trails and many more.

What a place to go too. The lodge rooms are big and beautiful the view over the ocean is fantastic. The pools yes pools as their are so many is photo ready for your pics. If you have small kids NO DSTV only sabc 3

We loved every moment. My boys loved the mashy golf and the animals. Was the most relaxing time and the executive suite we had was luxury at its best. Private beach, buffet breakfast an even coffee machine in my room was amazing value for the price. We can't wait to come back. Great place for family time with the kids.

The place is good and very relaxing, and the food is to die for. However all that does not matter if the housekeeping staff is not honest and steals my belonging. I forgot my jean Pierre hair straightener and 3 hours later I call it's no where to be found. Honesty is just a key principle in this business and if housekeeping supervisor or managers do even bother themselves in investigating. I myself can never visit such a place since the staff has access in guest rooms and are purely not honest. They are totally thieves (housekeeping) …

The very first thing striking about the place is the entrance from the main road, beautiful green grass with the little waterfalls and streams. This in itself immediately relaxes mind and spirit. Then as you enter through the security checkpoint it is a new world of nature, peace, tranquility and rest that you are drawn into. A beautifull Golf course greets you and totally surrounded by nature. All the villas, buildings, sign boards everything compliments each other in every way. The friendliness of the staff goes beyond expected. The rooms are to die for, and lets face it, this is for relaxation, so the size is perfect, as the view and the surroundings puts a person in almost a trance like state of just pure relaxation. And there is plenty to do if you really want to get active, Hire a golf cart and explore the entire area. There are game to look at, and even some beautiful birds. An absolute gem to stay at and very reasonable with their prices.

The stay was pleasant, especially when we kept to ourselves. We did struggle finding helpful and knowledgeable staff, the staff was inhospitable and lacked the basic skill of creating rapport… this was especially apparent in the restaurant. The food was just okay, but the ostrich fillet was quite delicious. In my humble opinion, better care of the guests is in order.

Calm place to relax but not during the season.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Expensive lunch, dinner and pool-deck menus: R90 for smallish snack basket that features I&J chicken nuggets and fishfingers, chicken schnitzel costs the same as the 400g sirloin, R45 kiddies hot dog (wtf?! ). Those prices must make up for the very reasonably priced beach shop.

Beautiful place but very bad service. Most unfriendly staff I have ever come across. Lovely place but the vibe of the staff really can ruin ones holiday.
