We were very disappointed by the fact that Casa Toscana offered us a Spa treatment at their facilities, only to get there and realize there did not have the facilities to offer us a spa treatment. After paying for the most expensive package, on arrival we were taken to a dilapidated building, which was very dirty and unkept. From the entrance, the couches looked very dirty and uninviting to sit on, at least no one offered us a seat. We were led up a staircase with a very dirty carpet, without enough light, it was scary. The room we were put in, had some brown ugly curtains, a very dirty, stained carpet, and the therapists asked to remove our clothes and get on some very tiny beds, not massage beds by the way. My friend opened the closet where we had been asked to put the clothes, and there were no hangers, but there was a lot of junk that had been dumped in the closets. I called the therapists to requests for slippers and we were told that we will only be given those when we go to bath. I inquired if they expected us to stand on the dirty carpet, and they had no answer for us. We had to use our tennis shoes as slippers, crushing them. They went on to call management, which did not come through at that moment to attend to us. The towels that were provided, were once green and had even lost color, and were not so clean, something I was not comfortable using.

Loved the way the made a already special evening even more special! The service was great. The entertainment was great. The food was great, even the cost is very affordable. Really enjoyed every moment.

The food was great. The admin and planning of the event not so much. When the event planner says: "We are always table ready by 15:00" then they actually mean: "When your guests arrive at 17:00 we will not be done setting up the tables. Also, we have not yet started setting up the cash bar. " When you request the account and statements to be finalized shortly after the event, so that you can get your breakage deposit back then they just ignore your e-mails. It has been 2 months now without any feedback and I did phone after a month to remind the event planner. I'm still waiting, so I thought I would post this review in the meantime. (Edited in response to owner's response: The guests did not arrive around 15:00. Everybody only started arriving a few minutes before 17:00, i. E. 16:50. That is how people do things: they arrive a few minutes early if an event is supposed to start at a specified time. It should not have been a problem if Casa Toscana was in fact "table ready" as promised during the meetings held. )

Stunning hospitality, amazing food and superb couples massage. Definitely worth going there again. Pricing is surprisingly reasonable and you get value for your money. I strongly recommend the couples break away packages.

Want to escape the rush of Pretoria without having to travel for hours? Then Casa Toscana is your answer. It's uncanny how stepping past their high walls transports you into a mistical Tuscan wonderland away from the city that resides just outside. Rooms are very well equipped and should cater for all of your needs. The room also comes equipped with a land line and complimentary travel buddy cellphone to help you navigate Pretoria if you are from out of town. Personel are friendly and very professional. Lastly "Die Blou Hond" situated on the premises serves up some great entertainment and the restaurant is sublime.

We booked a huge table for Christmas and 50% of us good food poisoning. Stay away. Manager didn't accept responsibility.

Beautiful venue, friendly staff and received a warm welcome. The dinner is not worth the amount of money that is charged, especially the dessert was embarrassingly small. The venue is cramped and the buffet arrangement wasn’t really thought through, everyone walking up and down the stairs to get their food is inconvenient. I have heard wonderful things about the venue but unfortunately the reality did not live up to the expectation. I was also disappointed in the management because in the initial invoice is a paragraph that states something like “let us know if someone in your group is having their birthday and we will make it special”. I confirmed twice with management for my girlfriend’s birthday but was disappointed that she wasn’t mentioned or was given the “special treatment” as the rest who were celebrating their birthdays. I hope the management will find this review helpful in bettering client satisfaction because upon existing the venue I could hear similar complaints/opinions.

It's very nice place to be they offer a good diet meal free high speed Wi-Fi and free android device to make unlimited calls during the stay, stunning our doors and staff are friendlier and attentive.

Came here for our year end. Service was good but food was mediocre and very limited given we were paying per head. It looked like they counted out the exact number of meat and starch so each guest would have a taste of everything rather than an actual meal.

This venue has you park on illegal locations for events and as a result I was held liable to a fine, the service and event itself was also poorly managed.

Beautiful restaurant, love the private Gazebos. Service is lacking though. Food average. Could have more vegetarian options. Also could let patrons know when there is no stock of an ingredient. We ordered the vegetarian lasagne, it was supposed to have aubergine and baby marrow in a tomato sauce. All we got was baby marrow in the tomato sauce. Very dissapointing for the premium price charged.

This review applies to "Die Blou Hond" theatre specifically. A beautiful restaurant and theatre conveniently situated next to the N1 just down the road from the Menlyn Centre. Friendly staff, amazing food and a really upper class but affordable venue with great live entertainment almost everyday by various artists.

We had a beautiful celebratory anniversary dinner at Le Si restaurant in a romantic private gazebo with red carpet and flower petals, delicious gourmet meal and excellent service. Awesome night!

I booked the romantic package and was disappointed. The room that was reserved for us was not at all what they advertised. They were also not prepared for our arrival. Another room was quickly offered. Which we accepted even though it was old with bad lighting. The room is advertised as a luxury room with shower and spa bath. They should leave out the word luxury. After watching the staff spread rose petals around the room and haggling over the dry champagne I had requested earlier (whether it was too expensive to be part of the package), the GM arrived. He promised to make up for any inconvenience with a memorable supper, which he delivered on. We enjoyed the gazebo and the meal and the service from Lucas, our waiter. That is where it ended. After a restlessness night in our stuffy dimly lit room, we were served a breakfast that was at best mediocre. Spur does better for half the price. Not what I would expect from a 4 star establishment. Then as we were packing up, we discovered a badly stained duvet cover that been covered by a blanket as well as a stains on the sheet. We left exhausted, disgusted and disappointed. Even though the management tried to undo the damage, the flaws in Casa Toscana Lodge are too big. We will try to forget this outing, and will definitely not recommended the venue to anyone.

We had a business meeting at this property. Lunch was mediocre to say the least. The sound system was extremely noisy with a loud feedback sound every few minutes. The chairs are most uncomfortable to say the least. Won't go there again!

The rooms are partly aligned to a highway close to the – essentially nicely styled – hotel. So was my „Luxury room“. One is exposed to a constant noise (~40-45 dB/A) due too poor insulation of the windows and additional noise caused by the staff itself (even during the night). The interior is vintage which is only halfway pretty because some of it is slightly decayed. The room was clean although the rain leaked through the ceiling in my room (which, however, was swiftly repaired). Some remarkable details: In my eyes it’s not a good idea to place a curtain near the toilet. The office-like water dispenser spoils the overall impression of the room, is almost useless and a power guzzler. The restaurant is a pity. Though the food was tasty the service was absolutely not customer-oriented. The starter of my dinner came more than 75 min after the order but then altogether with the main dish. The latter one was served with the wrong side but except of lots of excuses the waiter didn’t really care — not even when I had to give back the most of the meal (I hate food waste) because after having waited so long I wasn’t hungry any more. No deduction, no extra for the delay but furthermore other issues: I lost my napkin out to the faltering table (and didn’t get another), the salt was missing on my table — but these are only the little details the restaurant is lacking of in different areas. Less-than-ideal for a location that wants to address wedding parties.

Excellent service and extremely affordable.

Went there for a function. Bit disappointed that there is not adequate parking and many vehicles had to park in the street. Food a buffet was good and the waiters were friendly and efficient. Sound was also good all the music sometimes a bit loud making conversation difficult.

My ultimate place to visit. Be it food, overnight sccomodstion or chilling with friends, safe, closes very late, oozes passion and love for people.

Awesome place. Would be a 5 star rating if it weren't for a lack of off street parking. Food, ambience and service were great.

Terrible rundown room with no desk. The worst buffet breakfast ever experienced. Unprofessional reception.

The best names in the South African music scene entertains intimate groups here, from CD launches to new stage acts. Can be enjoyed with a buffet diner or just the show alone. After every show you can buy CDs and get it signed by your favorite band members or the entire band. Book well in advance as shows here sell out quickly.

Beautiful setting for live entertainment. We went to see a show and dinner at Die Blou Hond and it was a great evening. Well organised and buffet food was very tasty and enough.

Nice outside private seeting available. Staff is very accommodating. The food is old school and not really spectacular. What I remember the most is the setup and seeting.

Very painful experience planning a wedding with them, do not recommend anyone trying it. Their food is great though!

Nice place to go and watch a show or live music. Buffet food is very good. This small venue allow for smaller crowds and not to busy.

My favorite Lodge any day. I am addicted to it. Their service is tops.
