The Spa. Did the whole works — full body massage, classic manicure went to the jacuzzi with a cup of rooibos tea, then had 6 laps in the heated pool. After that went into the sauna room and ended with the steam room.
Oh, the reception was great, my therapist was wonderful, Nolo knew when to do small talk and when to keep quiet.
Was well worth the moola!
Definitely will go back — this time for a full body wrap and Indian head message.

The apartment we stayed in was stunning. We had a small door that led out to an exclusive garden. The building is beautiful. Well planned and layed out. Easy access to shopping. Great pools and gym. Even had time to indulge in their spa, Renaissance Day Spa. Exactly what I needed after travelling and the massage and facial were superb.

Love the service love the room and even the connection to the mall. Perfect in every way.

Beautiful place I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in a good environment relaxed and working.

The little enclave of the very rich, as if the rest of South Africa didn't exist. The oppulent wealth here is somewhat putrid, but the EFF and their ilk love it just like that. It's such a unique sense of power to discuss the decay of all social institutions whilst sipping on a glass of average red wine that is ceremonially served at the cost of more than the daily wage of a labourer.

Quality hotel, overall I was happy; however they left us waiting for three hours at reception while they tried to get our room cleaned. Even that wouldn't have mattered if they hadn't told us it would be ready over an hour before it was.

Awesome! Fantastic experience, customer service, hospitality! Loved it! Had a 3 day meeting with delegates coming from many countries. The staff are very kind, attentive, and customer focused. 10/10!

The hospitality and services I have experienced during my stay at Michelangelo Hotel is second to none. A wonderful place indeed that I would call another home away from home. A++

The Lounge is a wonderful space to spend time-whether you are meeting, relaxing or having a drink. The light meals are very good and service is helpful and friendly. And the cake is decadent!

Michelangelo two ers is the best hotel in santon and good staf and food to eat I love it.

Wonderful evening out with my wife for our anniversary. The entire team made it a memorable night, from the excellent food with dry ice to end it all off to the very attentive service team. Creme brule was excellent. Citrus chocolate fondant was a little overdone however.

I was at the Parc Ferme restaurant. The service was subpar. I didnt appreciate seeing glasses and cutlery being moved from 1 table to another (not used) but still unhygenic considering spit and the fact that people touch things on the table to get comfortable. The waitress was mostly nowhere to be seen. I did enjoy the lentil soup. It was delicious.

Excellent service, excellent facilities. Staff friendly, helpful and professional at all times. Really enjoyed our stay and will be going back. Only thing I can fault them on is before the 11am check out time they came to the room and requested us to leave as check out is at eleven. Would suggest they rather take the approach and offer to take your luggage down as it is nearing check out…

We have heard of paradise this is a hotel I would literally stay in forever. This place is Awesome from the initial check in to the food, to the rooms. True royalty at its best. Sandton City is just an entrance away. You can literally walk into the mall. I would definetly go back I was treated with respect and they made me wana stay. The breakfast is excellent and the heat pool, spa is awesome.

A very huge and beautiful hotel. The staff is more than friendly here. Whatever you need will be done for you. The views are amazing. You can look over sandton from the upper floors. The breakfast ist delicious. You can choose from the menu or enjoy a buffet style breakfast. There's also a smoking room which looks really nice. And at night at the bar there's live music played on the piano. And if you like shopping here's the place to be as it is connected to the mall.

One of the prestigious hotels in Johannesburg, situated right next to Sandton City/Mandela Square. Tip: GREAT presentation when ordering a creme brulee… Ask if they have dry ice.

I was promised quality and I received it. A very calming experience very zen. I think the architecture matched with super professional and friendly staff did it for me. Zen Zen.

Right in the middle of Sandton CBD, enter the street level lobby of the Michelangelo Hotel and you're in a different time and space! No noise from the busy streets, just comfort and opulence. Visit reception on the 1st floor and look down on the magnificent Koi Pond below. The decor is luxurious but practical. I enjoyed a toasted Cheese and Tomato sandwich with a tasty salad in the lounge area. It was freshly prepared and scrumptious!

With many entrance from different sides and levels, The Michelangelo hotel are the mostly interesting architecture's in the middle of Sandton, very secured and with the tests of singularity.

A great place to stay in Joburg… big apartments with a fully furnished kitchen, washing machine, oven and microwave… Well located in Sandton and very close to Mandela Square… ideal if you are with your family or working in the city for a long time…

Beautiful self catering apartment, easy access to sandton city and Mandela square… The staff at reception and concierge can be more friendly and need to be of a higher caliber/standard to suite the entire image.

This was the penthouse at the Michelangelo towers. The view is spectacular and the penthouse phenomenally decorated.

I had my birthday dinner at parc germs and it was out of this world! James was awesome, he is a very nice chef/manager… The view is also out of this world, the staff is great not to mention the different themes in the rooms. It's safe to say Michelangelo is the best hotel in South Africa.

Staff was amazingly helpful and exceedingly polite and accommodating. Rooms were very well gorgeous and the breakfast buffet and optional menu were among the best in my three week your of South Africa.

Knead the restaurant offers great cuisine. The ribs are just heavenly. The bread divine.

Lovely apartment with good bed, great shower, kitchen, lounge, big TV. Can't complain. Rooms turned over twice a day.

It's a five star place so expectations were high. Everything was great with two minor exceptions; the two single beds were in a room where the queen sized headboard and the night stands are mounted to the wall, so one of the beds had to stick out into the room in front of the night stand, and our order at Sunday brunch took an excessive amount of time.

This place looks nice from the outside but on the first night here the hotel lost power and Internet and TV service. There were alarms going off in the hallways till 1 am. The hotel staff was very rude, especially the manager. They weren't able to provide an ETA for when service would come back on which effected my ability to work. Internet service was also spotty and slow, not good for business travelers. Please beware of this place.

Always stayed at luxury hotels near this place but today my Collague booked here. Very luxury and right on the square. Mandela square has JNBs top restaurants around Neat rooms and comfortable bed, must for me. Spacious rooms and complimentary wine. Friendly staff but standard of service needs improvement and definitely breakfast needs to change, seems they have not visited top 10 hotels around that spoil you with choice and service. Quite slow on service.

I'll concede what it may lack in "modern " facilities, it more than makes up for any shortfall there in a conservative statement of saying, undoubtably the friendliest and most professional customer service I've ever experienced. From the concierge to housekeeping, one and all go over and above expectations. There is no lack of choice when it comes to dining, shopping or just hanging out; as The Santon City Shopping Mall is literally at your doorstep. Santon City has been undergoing a complete overhaul and though still in progress, it can stand tall with its comprehensive variety of stores, both chain and independent. It caters to the budget conscience and your label shoppers with the Diamond walk newly refurbished with ALL the big names. Louis Vuitton, Prada, Armani, Gucci, Cartier and so the list goes on! As we have been staying in the Michaelangelo Towers for an extended period of time, we've become to feel and are treated almost like " locals", as I have MY girls at The Bread Basket and am "tight" with a no of customer service gals at Woolworths. Even the sales assistants down at Checkers are familiar with me now and I'm ALWAYS greeted with a smile and salutation. I've got store rewards cards from Clicks where I almost daily amuse them with my requests and odd phrases. I've developed a " relationship with my now hairdresser, Tasha (or is it Natasha?

This is the jewel of Africa. Maybe the best hotel in Africa. Next to Mandela square and directly linked to the largest mall in Africa (Sandton City Mall), it's perfect for high level business trips. They have a very nice restaurant, and their breakfast is exceptionally nice and clean, with many choices for everyone. The rooms are really unique and feel a bit romantic. The hotel has a historic theme, and you'll feel like you're in old Rome. I'd suggest that you try it. I'm sure you'll enjoy the unique experience.

Got upgraded to a huge suite from a standard double and had a good single night stay. The breakfast buffet is great and opens slightly before 6:30, and connected access to the malls nearby give you a lot of food and shopping options.

5 stars for the sentral location. Aoart from that tjis would be a 3-4 star hotel. Breakfast was really big and offered pretty much everything from Indian to European breakfast. Rooms were big and clean but nothing special about it.

The Michael Angelo restaurant is a five star hotel. It is one of the best in the country. The doorman is always formally dressed, with a top hat and white gloves. You can expect to be attended to immediately. It is important to ask to be directed to your intended venue and guests. The dresscode should always be formal and this is an admittance only hotel. Thank you for your great service.

That 1 is a hotel, it is wonderfully connected with mandela square. That was marvellous. The rooms are spacious. The buildings are fabulous and the glass lifts are just a miracle.

Went for coffee. Previous customer at our table forgot to pay. Staff try to bring us their ticket. When leaving we paid at one staff member in cash, and other staff followed me outside with the bill. Clearly staff needs to pay a bit more attention. Coffee took very long to bring.

Best hotel I have stayed at in South Africa. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is amazing. Really enjoyed the options I had around me being located on Mandela Square. Plenty shopping and restaurants available.

Ate @ Bukhara restaurant. Decent food. Hope the waiters were more humble & had smile on their face!
