Recently Visited the resturant at protea hotel by wanderers, and had a wonderful meal, the service was good, the staff was friendly and welcomed us warmly. I liked the fact that their hospitality was as good as if we were their hotel guests, where as other hotel resturants fail to maintain that kind of service. Quite impressed and would definetly visit again 😊

Hotel renovated but with DIY. Shower that leaks room of reduced size. Icy and tiny pool. Hotel away from everything.

Decent hotel with easy access, the restaurant made some good food and the place was priced fairly. The service was good and both hotel and restaurant are clean. Staff are very helpful, the rooms are well maintained which can be expected from one of the newer hotels. Highly recommended for business travelers, you wont be disappointed.

Everytime that I in jhb, I go to Protea Wanderer and the place not far from Melrose Arch, Sandton and Rosebank. The staff are nice, giving me the best service they can for a good price.

Lovely place. Great outdoor swimming pool area. Lobby is not that large but is very neat.

Nice place with exquisite customer service, shuttle rides, cafeteria sports club and a gym down the road, close to sandton and Rose bank mall and a lot more attractions.

Pretty much what you would expect-standard rooms, everything you could need and a very average price rate. Have a few options but could offer more. Convenience in terms of location.

Really nice hotel, located in a quite area. Staff is great and helpful, speaking English. Rooms are not really big but clean with everything we need. Pool is a bit small but nice. Overall a great hotel not too far from the city and all the attractions like safaris. Would recommend.

The cleaning staff walked into my room at 9am when I was fast asleep. If check out is at 11am then how can a guest be disturbed 2 hours before that. The receptionist Bella wanted to charge me for a late check out and had nothing to say about the staff disturbing me 2 hours before. Unacceptable service.

We were not given the room category we usually book in. Front desk person did not have a room for us until about 3 pm and gave us a downgrate — small, stinky and very tiresd room. I am surprised Air France puts its staff here. Lunch at Apple was good and servi e was okay. Nothing to write home about.

This has been my favourite place since my EY days. The Wi-Fi service is very poor though.

Average overall experience. Rooms are dated and facilities are starting to feel old. Wi-Fi works well. Very good bar and nice restaurant.

Worst staff ever. Never saw such lazyness. When asked about their room availability I was answered all room were taken. Yet I was able to book a room online 5min after. They have a small convenience store. When I asked if trey had tissues I was answered they didn't have any. While looking for other stuff I saw they actually have tissues. Anyway, they just don't give a damn, and that's a shame given the price of the hotel.

This Protea is pretty standard. Rooms may need a makeover. Been staying here every year over the last 8 yrs. Since the Marriott took over I think food improved slightly. It's clean and quiet and rates are great. Staff is generally helpful and polite.

Great Hotel in Johannesburg. Prices are fair. Great service from the waiters and the food is great. The receptionists are very welcoming too. Rooms are comfortable too for a business traveler. I loved my experience here.

This isn't just a beautiful hotel, it is an amazing place with impeccable standard. It is all about the service there. It is home away from home everytime you visit protea hotel. You're safety is guaranteed at all time. They are very professional in the way they handle everything. From the receptionist to the room service, and to the shuttle service, they're all just so wonderful, well trained and well behaved. You're sure to comeback after you visit the Protea hotel here.

Wasn't impressed with the initially room we were placed in. Had to ask for a change as it had a funny smell. The location was great and the service was good.

Rooms are okay. But the food takes forever (supper can take up to 2 hours).

I was stayed at the Wanderers in 2005 and it was an incredible experience! I HIGHLY recommend the Protea Hotels.
