I always book there when I am in Kroonstad because of their spacious and clean rooms. I just don't have enough words to describe the staff, I don't know where to start with their friendliness and kindness. I won't sleep anywhere else.

What a wonderous place!
Clean, neat and well maintained.
The staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The restaurant is a must! I love the "afval" (tripe). Also they have a very decent wine selection and craft beer on tap.
Ideal for weddings, functions or just for a night out.
Highly recommended!

The Arcadia Guesthouse on the outskirts of Kronstadt is a safe and secure place to stay. The rooms are nicely appointed and well serviced. The restaurant offered an impressive selection of high quality meals and the bar had a wide selection of drinks. The staff were obliging and informative, therefore this guesthouse is highly recommended.

We have stayed here 6-7 times over the years. It is always spotlessly clean, well maintained and we are welcomed courteously. It is very convenient to be able to have dinner there. Only small touches could be improved: hand soap, and more than one teabag for an overnight stay of two people. But we will certainly be back and remain loyal guests.

What a pleasure it was. The gravel road was not even 100 metres long and the staff are so welcoming. The food… Spectacular. The venue. Spectacular… The ambience… Spectacular. It gives a feeling of Nostalgia in a way with a vintage French-SouthAfrican feel to the building style. Rooms are well equipped with Aircon and wall heaters for the winter. If you are staying over in Kroonstad this is the place to stay!

A totally unassuming place, yet superb food and wine with bespoke service. I had chicken livers for starters and Karoo lamb chops for main, accompanied by a glass of Cederberg carbernet sauvingon.

Very friendly and accommodating, they go out of their way and go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are delightfully furnished and very clean and the food at the restaurant where is delicious. If you want dinner here though then it is recommended to make your booking 2 hours in advance.

What a beautiful venue, such an unique experience. Staff members are so kind and the service is beyond all expectations. The rooms is lovely decorated and comfortable. While having a nice relaxed breakfast you can hear nothing but the sound of nature around you. Definitely a must to view this location!

We spent two nights here and both visits were amazing! The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the rooms were neat, well equipped and well worth the money spent. Breakfast is comprehensive, choice is very good. And, if you're lucky, Garfield will visit and cuddle up as a purry hotwater bottle… (the staff don't encourage it, so no worries if you're not an animal lover).

Haven't stayed at the guesthouse. Only been to the restaurant. I would say it is the best restaurant in Kroonstad. Friendly staff, good menu selection. I have been there a few times and sometimes the food is fantastic, other times average. All round enjoyable experience.
