I had an amazing stay at Mont d'Or. Staff were so helpful and professional. Food was so tasty and the room was perfect. I will be back.

What an exceptional place. The staff is super professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Tonight is only our first night. Two more to go! We have the familyroom and the beds are soo comfortable. We can highly recommend the hotel and are already planning a return trip.

Lights are off so loudest generator kicks in. I can sleep. Asked to move to room further from generator, they refuse, said it will take long. I must move tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm going home. Excuses!

Beautiful place with friendly staff. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Excellent food, luxury rooms, stunning view. Highly recommended.

Great Food — Spa Sweedish massage — Very friendly staff.

Very neat, clean, spacious luxury rooms. However the rooms did have a damp funny smell so we had to use the aircon to get rid of it. Meals at the restaurant were good and breakfast was accomodating for special dietary requirements. Too bad the spa was fully booked as I wanted to try it. Parking could be improved with some sort of shelter and security. Overall a good experience.

Lovely hotel staff are super friendly & the barman Lebo pours the best gin & tonic & the Jagermeister shots are generous served in a glass & not those awful little plastic things.

The pictures definitely are misleading about the hotel. Not sure about its 4 star rating. Maybe a 2 star. The pictures on the website lead you to believe it's a resort and thatvthe rooms are much bigger. Not a resort. Rooms are quite small. Breakfast area leaves much to be desired with the guest toilets leading right into the dining room. Definitely not a hotel for kids.

Beautiful setting with wonderful staff. Always friendly, always helpful. And always going above and beyond what is expected. The chef is a master and the food is to die for. Would recommend this beautiful place for anyone traveling through or visiting beautiful Clarence!

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. Dinners were very well prepared. We had a fire lit every evening by the friendly staff who brough our dessert up to the room after dinner. Bedding was comfortable bar the old spring mattress. The wooden furniture in the rooms added to the sheek, farmhouse charm of the establishment.

Rooms are dark and overheated in winter with very few rooms with views… and that with a very good location of the hotel. The breakfast is far below par for a four star hotel! Cannot recommend it the price you pay!

This hotel has got amazing views, but it is in serious need of rooms updating, maintenance and as it looks very much out of date. The breakfast can be improved as well as crockery, glasses used for serving the choice of juice. I had picked without knowing a broken glass for my juice and this small details must be look after for the safety of the guests.

Somewhat expensive for what is essentially a bnb. No serious complaints though.

Loved our stay with Mont d'Or! Clean bathrooms with very hot water, electric blankets with the feather duvets made our stay extra special and the food was above expectation. Will be back again!

I enjoyed myself and hospitality was amazing I felt like home. Lebo he and Lebo she, Mpho he and Mpho she as well as Eric made my stay feel like heaven on Earth!

Lovely hotel with absolutely amazing views. Great service… also serve breakfast and dinner. Fireplace in room makes it a romantic getaway in winter.

Loved the hotel. Would have thought I was in Scotland once again. The people are lovely, staff is friendly and helpful. Nice place to get out of town for a weekend.

Good hotel. Neat and clean. The only issue is that it's not located in the central square of Clarens. Breakfast is average.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a short break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's like the home with the butler you never had! Relax, revive and be inspired to live again. Well done guys!
