We were not impressed with the whole arriving at gate and no one around, eventually after blowing hooters were told there is another entrance. We booked in, no keys, had to phone for password for data as it was NOT given to us on n piece of paper as stated. Parking spaced narrow. Need TLC and not safe for the elderly have to be super careful. We have 2 vehicles — parking where?

Beautiful place to be looking at the beauty of nature (ocean facing & those little bushes and Sand dunes). Hospitality in welcoming their guest is 100%

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and neat chalets. Overlooking the ocean. Wi-fi. Big smart TV screen.

The place is amazing the atmosphere the sea the environment. The good service they've giving us its so nice… rooms n everything this place is extra ordinary.

The facility was amazing, the pool area and jucuzzi was very relaxing.
The game room for the older kids was a nice touch, however the kids under 3 didnt have much to do because the jumping castle was not up and jungle gym is on the other side and not in the same place of the pool and game room. Maybe consider setting up the jungle gym in the same place wuth pool area this way families can enjoy the facilities over looking the kids in one area. We didn't get Wi-Fi access yet the site shows Wi-Fi available. The rooms has only 1 double bed yet 3 married couples use 1 chalet the single beds can also not be pushed together and there is no flexibility in arranging double beds in the other rooms. This is a prime spot and amazing venue but if you can consider at least 2 chalets where al 3 rooms have double beds and move the jungle gym to the pool area I am sure this will be an ideal destination that I will make use for all my family and couple trips ❤️

We have been before and have booked again for next year as the staff went out of their way to make us feel most welcome and comfortable. The down side was most probably no cleaning staff due to covid19 and a general decline in the facilities (green pool, basic items missing from the chalets, etc) A little more effort on the maintenance side and hopefully we will have a great festive season next year. This is meant as constructive criticism and can only improve a great holiday location.

We were welcomed by friendly staff. The rooms and facilities were clean upon arrival. There are lots of entertainment available, especially for the kids. I just have a few suggestions: 1) install motion sensed lights especially up the stairs to the individual chalets. It would make it so much easier to scale the stairs to the chalets, especially aymt night 2) make the "main" room at the bottom. It will make it easier for families with babies, up and down the stairs with a baby or 2 in hand is not that easy 3) this is more of a nitpick of mine. Install a decent sizes multiplug that has the normal 3 point and 2 point plug connections. Thats for guests that bring their own entertainment, e. G TV boxes that require an additional powet point. Other than that, it was an entertaining weekend at Kowie River Chalets. Keep up the good service.

We where welcomed by friendly staff that assisted us with offloading. Everthing was clean on arrival. Would gladly come again.

Close access to the beach. Beach is average though, but great place to watch surfers battle the waves. Quite and tranquil place. Amenities not that far.

The chalets were descent nothing to write home about. What was more more disturbing is that they broke into our chalet @ 04:00 In the morning and there was no security to be seen. I wasn't impressed.

Spectacular, stunning. To see dolphins playing and breaching in this beautiful setting. Life can't get better than this.

Wow whatva wonderful time we had here. From the welcoming right up to the end. The kids had a ball of a time we were short of nothing. A very warm clean and. Comfortable space. Beautiful sights and so secure and safe. Thanks to everyone, from mangement to the cleaning staff, keep it up! Im certainly coming back here.

Last weekend was the best time of our lives yhooo! The place is very beautiful I can't even find words to describe it, the staff is very friendly (Ntosh and Winnie) these ladies made us feel at home … we really enjoyed our stay it was a well deserved weekend away we regret nothing! The pics says it all and we will come back again! WE LOVED IT … I wish I can win that competition so that we can come back again.

Home away from home. It has absolutely everything one would need when there are at home. It is central and everything is at easy access for example food stores, restaurants and the beach (which also gives an amazing view to the houses around).

Chalets are clean and tidy well kept comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and more than happy to help. Close to the beach.

Such a posh place facing the sea. Nice and clean. Safe and secure.

Very comfortable with very good response time for issues. These chalets also have a walkway straight to Kelly's Blue Flag Beach. The swimming pool is quite nice as well.

The hospitality was amazing. The units were wonderfully clean. Definitely going back.

Expansive wooden chalets on the edge of the Port Alfred Western Beach. Great outdoor barbecue facilities in every chalet, good entertaining space inside and a good central location for the pool and communal facilities. Very quiet in low seasons. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Walking distance to the sea. Not far from town and hold course a within 5mins drive. This place has a unique atmosphere that is chilled and relaxed.

Kowie River Chalets Team Welcoming was very good, The receptionist explained everything concerning the stay there. She arranged a porter to help me with my luggage. The smiles right through. Caroline too did her best keeping our chalet clean. On the whole our stay there was superb. How I wish I could stay at number 14 closer to the parking area. We are aging, let alone being outgoers / vacation lovers. Thank you once more. Hoping to see you in future. Regards Lefume PRN.

Beautiful views, briliant location. The set up and facilities wonderful.

Great experience with great service. Lots of things for kids to do, but little for adults.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Just love the chalets. It is just amazing to stay there We as family go every year.

Beautiful place, clean, lovely pool area. But staff only around at certain times. Ran into guests trying to check in on a Sunday morning and reception was closed and no staff to be found.

Hostesses were not very helpful. Parking was inconvenient. Our chalet had no view. The chalet was beautiful, loved the wooden old feel it had to it. Very spacious, clean and neat. It was a pity reception was so bad.
