We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday at the Beach Hotel venue 11 Sept 2022. Service was great thankyou. 🙏.

I love this place. Best food and view. No 1 in Pe. Go there every time. Not expensive at all. Good friendly waiters.

The hotel itself & the room were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location is unmatched, easy access to everything and only 10 minutes away from the airport. I mostly enjoyed having dinner and sundowners over breathtaking views from The Verandah and Ginger restaurants. The staff were also amazing & went out of their way to make my visit comfortable. I had an incredible stay and would not hesitate to recommend The Beach hotel to anyone intending to travel to PE.

We were tired from our 16 hour flight that had 5 hr delay in JFK. Was under weather and just needed some soup to take out from the restaurant but they insisted to take it to our room which was a nice touch.

Excellent location and atmosphere, beautiful classic older but up to date building from the days before this location was part of the city. Wouldn’t change at thing regarding facility or staff. Not a chain for sure! Beautiful view of the bay and literally across the street from the beach.

Enjoyed the delicious buffet in the Crest dining room. The complimentary glass of wine is a nice touch. Ramsey was a very pleasant & attentive waiter. The live piano playing, which previously contributed in a major way to the atmosphere, was sorely missed.

Well located business & leisure hotel, right next to the Boardwalk entertainment Centre & casino and across the road from the beach. Great breakfast, really appreciated the freshly squeezed orange juice. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable.

NICE looking hotel, its dirty though. They don't vacuum the the carpets, in the room and on the stairs. Its shocking really. They have a cheeky front desk operator named Caitlyn. Worst attitude ever! At best this is a 3 star. If not for the manager, I might have checked out upon arrival. His bubbly, helpful nature and that of the porter were the highlights of my stay. The food. No!

Port Elizabeth was showing off her best weather, the sea was calm and blue. There is no better place to experience this than on The Verandah looking out at the ocean with the sun setting. We ate snack baskets, seafood croquettes and curry, accompanied with very pleasant merlot. The staff were on hand and very competent and friendly. This is our favourite place to relax.

Been an ardent patron at The Beach Hotel, and The Veranda restaurant, for more years than I care to remember. Always been my favourite eatery in town: elegant surroundings, good service and value for money. Great was my disappointment last night when, after waiting for longer than usual for service (staff were doing their best but there were too few on duty), I ordered my favourite from the special menu: gammon steak on a bed of mash with stir-fried vegetables and honey and mustard sauce. Well, mash there was aplenty, but the gammon turned out to be two miserable thin bacon-like strips and there were about four miniscule bits of veg. Come on, Beach Hotel — what's happening to standards of excellence?!

Nothing wrong with the classic and classy feel of the hotel. It has much more soul than it's modern neighbours. Love the view.

Brilliant. Great boutique hotel. Easy access to the beach. Great food. Great service. Good people. Nice and cosy rooms. Easy walk to the boardwalk. Well located on summerstrand. Not far from port Elizabeth airport. A must visit when u in port Elizabeth.

Most enjoyable atmosphere with friendly, pleasant staff. Both the food and drink were served in time and efficiently. All the guests were extremely satisfied with the service provided.

We had a breakfast-conference at the Beach Hotel for school. I was blown away by the helpfulness of the staff and the welcoming way in which we were received. They had everything we needed; PA system, settings, extra tables for exhibitors, welcoming coffee and juice, etc. Our breakfast options were healthy, balanced and really well-made. Would definitely recommend the banquet-team as someone to work with in future.

Friendly service and very attentive staff. Located directly across the road from the beach and new pier, making this a fantastic spot to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Rooms are neat and very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. Buffet is great!

Beach hotel is a great idea place for an planned event. Be it small or big. Great ocean views and good food.

We go to the Veranda often. Thabisa always makes our visit a top notch one! View and setting amazing. The buffet is nice but could use a bit of a change up… been the same for years.

The beach front hotel in PE with personal service, delicious food and comfortable rooms. The function rooms are well situated with all your modern conveniences for professional corporate events, weddings and presentations.

Situated right next door to the Broadwalk complex in Port Elizabeth, it is ideal for coach groups and couples to stay as no only is the casino on your doorstep, they have an array of nice restaurants within the Boardwalk complex. Now the Hotel is one of the older hotels but it is a comfortable place with nice rooms and a dinner and breakfast area. Their is a lovely lounge with a well stocked bar and very friendly staff. Being a tour guide, I travel extensively through this areas with my groups and I avaulate establishments not only myself but also get a feel of what my clients thought. Up to now I have only had positive feedback, so Beach Hotel Team… keep it up! See you again in January 2019.

Nice view, nice food, friendly waiters and waitresses. Cool, indoor dining space, while still enjoying the sea breeze. Also available alfresco area and bar with the view of the ocean.

Very good hotel with venerable history.

The service and the food at the Verandah restaurant was amazing. The environment is also cozy and warm, and the live music was a plus. Would definitely recommend the restaurant to someone that wants to dine in an elegant and calm environment.

Went to the verandah with friends last evening. What a ghastly experience! Sat there for half an hour before getting up to find a waitress for drinks. That waitress disappeared and we had to find another one. The food, when it finally arrived was absolutely terrible… dry, tough, stringy chicken! The `manager' gave some lengthy explanation as to why it was so bad. On leaving, I found another `'manager' who was utterly useless… no apology at all. We certainly will not be back… ever! I don't enjoy being ripped off!

Fantastic views. Ginger Restaurant service professional, well trained staff! Food delectable, well presented, beeg portions! Reasonably priced. Crisp clean Napkins and Cutlery. Very beautiful and up to date Crockery!

While the rooms are quite clean and well equipped with coffee stations, TV, and all the other things one might expect. They are quite dated. The restaurant had good food, but the bar service was lacking some. All in all, I would come back.

Old-world, colonial feel. Rooms renovated, clean, spacious and comfortable. Very near the airport, opposite the beach, and next door to the local casino.

Lovely, clean and fresh cuisines. The Cajun calamari was sensational and the chocolate ganache reminded me of a fond favorite bakery in CT. Great service, amazing views. Fine Dining.

Lovely location. Lovely sea view room, comfortable bed had a good night's sleep. Had a lovely meal in the carvery. Value for money. Would come again.

It's always a pleasure to visit the hotel for a small meal and a drink in the late afternoon but our last visit on 4 Nov 2017 was a disaster as a chicken hamburger that my wife ordered was tough and not even grilled as she requested. The salad was also of a low standard. We will be back and should the food not be up to standard we will have to go elsewhere.

The Crest Restaurant @ The Beach Hotel have an excelent buffet at very reasonable prices.

Lovely hotel close to the beachfront and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Fast check in. Homely feel. The breakfast was good. Maybe a slightly bigger selection would have being nice. But was enough. Good walking areas just outside the hotel. Next to a casino mall area. Enjoy my stay.

If you want to enjoy a sundowner in peace and quite… the lounge/patio is the place to go.

2 weeks ago hubby and I had a very bad experience at beach hotel. Being our favourite hangout place we were sadly disappointed and left without any apology and the service was extremely bad. We sat for more than 45 minutes without being helped. But yesterday was an awesome experience. Different waiters different manager on duty and the food was awesome. Service was impeccable. So it varies depending on who is on duty… but it still remains my favourite place. The fish platter was awesome… a big thank you to the lovely lady who took care of us…

What a lovely hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly. The view from my room is amazing. I was overlooking the beach. 10am sun tan, yes please!
