Nice n cozy hotel, just in the historical center of Ljubliana. Nice bed, good confort.

Slon has charmes historical of their own. Recomended as for managers as private stay.

Nice Business hotel situated just in the downtown.

Quite old BW hotel in a good touristic location. Decent (probably) breakfast but impossible to get in. So crowded, 25 minutes waiting in a queue. Our room is very small, tight, too close to elevators. Wi-Fi completely unreliable. Safebox on the floor. Staff at the reception with no-smile/ unfriendly attitude. No recognition for BW diamond members. Saturday night sleepless due to very loud music. Definitely never again!

My favorite hotel in Ljubljana. It is 4 stars and then some. Pleasant staff, good breakfast, clean rooms (not luxurious or very new, but the location makes up for it). Cafe Zvezda, attached to the hotel, offers impeccable sweets, coffee and tea. The ambiance is amazing, especially in the evening. Restaurant Slon1552, a la carte, with daily menus, offers amazing food and very decent prices for the daily menu. I just love Slon!

Awesome location in aging hotel. The Slon is right in the pedestrian area of Ljubijana, making it ideal for exploring the old part of the city but difficult to access for parking. Our GPS routed the car away from the hotel due to these restrictions but after phoning the hotel staff, they let us know that hotel guests can just drive down the pedestrian street to park in front of the hotel. The hotel staff were great and the buffet breakfast that was included was great. The only issues were with the old air conditioning unit which was not effective and the courtyard view (the courtyard was full of hotel garbage and junk).

Excellent place to stay a couple days. Recommend it☺Excellent hotel. Good position. Everything is very near (public transportation and many city landmarks are just on corner). Staff are so friendly. Rooms are very clean. One big window in a room is enough to get a fresh air. Corridors are clean. Elevator is fine. Would like to stay here again.

Hits well at the European 4 star level. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was working well, important as several days were unusually hot. Location very convenient to the Old Town. Minor complaint is lack of hair conditioner as an amenity — very frustrating as I had to go buy some. But overall the people were nice and everything was mostly great.

Hotel is a bit difficult to find event using GPS, but location can't be better for exploring central Ljubljana. Very friendly and efficient staff. Large clean room with comfortable beds and good AC. Excellent breakfast. Convenient parking. Overall — great hotel! I can highly recommend it!

Very importamte: Do not have PCs with Internet or printers available to the client, so if Ahy need to find a plane ticket, book a hotel or print a document you have to go to the nearest tourist office, although it is cheap to pay PO R the use of PCs.

Great hotel in the center of the city, few meters away from the main street. The rooms are great, and the service and all staff is very polite. Breakfast is great and has a lot of different types of food. There is small personal touch in everything they do. Car access is via closed for cars bulevard but you can enter with the car if you are for the hotel. Valet parking is available for 20 euro per night.

A good hotel, matched by its 4th, professional responsive staff, great location in the city centre, within walking distance a lot of attractions, a variety of dishes at breakfast. Cons: I do not like the shower without a normal blind — if you want to splash pour all around. Room 637 didn't work safe!

The TV was huge, plenty of English TV Channel choice. The bed was large and comfy. Plenty of space in the rooms. Lots of high-quality peripherals, with the addition of a quality umbrella. The breakfast selection was superb, lots of choices: cereal, cold salad and hot food including non-dairy options. Staff were good, very accommodating to my requests. The hotel is bang in the centre of Ljubljana, easy to get to all of its sightseeing recommendations.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre directly in the pedestrian area of Ljublana.
On arrival you can drive through the pedestrian zone when making a reservation and park for 15 minutes in front of the hotel. After that the car is parked by the concierge in a parking garage for €20 per day (this is the same price as the car itself in the parking garage to park).
Very nice lobby with beautiful chandelier. Checkin was totally friendly and quick, the concierge helped with luggage. The hotel is also dog friendly. Landlord had our room on the third floor. The hotel has a total of 6 floors, on the first floor is the dining room, 2nd floor fitness and sauna. Unfortunately, the entire hotel has carpeted flooring, which in some places seemed a bit dirty. Otherwise everything was extremely clean and nicely maintained.
In the room we expected a well-stocked minibar, 2 shallow free water, kettle and coffee machine with free coffee capsules. Safe, iron, telephone and flat-screen TV were also available.
The bed was very large and super soft and pleasant for sleeping. Unfortunately the doors to the hallway did not seal well, so you can hear some noise in the room. Breakfast from 06 — 11 o'clock! The breakfast buffet was the hammer. You could almost say that it was a brunch. The tables are covered with cloth napkins. The food is very nicely done and there was everything the heart desires.

Excellent hotel. Best location!

The hotel is in a great location, about 100 meters from the Triple Bridge and this is its best feature.
Economy rooms are essential: on one side of the bed there is a bedside table while the other side rests directly on the wall.
The spa is extremely small: there is a sauna and a steam room of 4 seats each and 5 sunbeds for relaxation. Unfortunately it is poorly managed: when I was there, there were scattered used towels and it was not possible to distinguish taxes from clean herbal tea from dirty ones.
The reception staff is very courteous while the restaurant/breakfast staff is more shady, to the limits of the uneducated.
Beware of parking lots: if you use the one "contracted" with the hotel, the cost is 20 euros per night. Nearby there are much cheaper possibilities.

4 star hotel with excellent service in a prime location.

It was a very nice hotel. The staff Full structure, fitness 24/24, wellness centre, high quality restaurant.

For me Slon is the best hotel in the world! The only one where I can sleep like home, great bed, wonderful linen. Breakfast is extraordinary and you can also order if you want something more (never used that). Position is perfect, parking is wonderful managed, you drive in front of the hotel and hotel stuff take your car to parking lot.

Good location Staff Clean and large enough rooms. Great breakfast buffet. The spa is small but sufficient as it is included in the price. Being in the historic pedestrian center, you can only get to the Hotel for loading and unloading, then you have to park elsewhere. However, the hotel offers a valet service in a nearby parking lot and they bring the car in front of the hotel with a half-hour notice. Only downside: View from the rooms on the front house.

The Slon is a 4 star! 5 star's I would rate Hotel. Each and every department, Had very competent staff the were eager to help in every way, making my stay very enjoyable. I would like to bring particular attention to the restaurant manager Mr Andy Polo who's team produced a wonderful selection of highest quality fresh food and nothing was to much to ask for! And I felt their commitment to making my stay the most enjoyable was Paramount, Congratulation's the Slon you excelled.

Excellent hotel at (for when I booked) a very reasonable price. Couldn't really fault it at how much it set us back. Perfect location, quality feel on the inside, good beds, nice service and a good bar / cafe. Breakfast had everything. Top notch!

It was a very nice place to be in the spa area. They do the valet parking but the lack of autonomy you hear. Breakfast is plentiful and all too varied, I suggest the management to hire staff who speak at least a little ' Italian. We are one of the neighboring nations, it is very important!

Excellent location. Very centrally located for shopping, restaurants and bars. A short stroll to the castle. 200 meter from a beautiful Tivoli park for running/trail running. Lobby and bar are newly decorated with good taste. Only the bathroom in our room is newly renovated. The bedroom looks from another decade past. Am not a fan of carpet in hotel room. Looks dirty. Although the bed/pillows were very comfortable.

Nice hotel in the center of Ljubljana with a very nice and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. If you check out of the hotel early before they are open for breakfast they will give you fruits, yogurt, water, and couple of cold cut sandwiches to take with you. If you need help with tours the staff is willing to help and arrange it for you. Overall, a pretty good hotel.

My husband and I had the best hotel experience on our recent trip to Hotel Slon in Ljubljana. Google maps misdirected us on the drive in from Ljubljana airport and we got confused on a pedestrian only street. We ended up parking and walking up to the valet (Ziga) who walked with us back to our illegally parked car and drove us back to the hotel (explaining the confusing road signs on the way). He offered some of his favorite things to do then also put us in touch with the con…cierge Tom who sat down with us for an hour (! ) drawing on maps and giving us basically a free tour. These two guys were amazing our whole trip. Tom also arranged a wine tasting that evening which was amazing! The room itself was very nice and we had a great view of the castle (especially at sunrise and sunset). There was a nice bathroom and robes/slippers. There was also a "pillow menu" where you could order specific pillows (what? )! The (included) breakfast was out of this world. Champagne, coffee bar, with gourmet food. Lots of vegetarian options. Really everything anyone could ever ask for. Really, the staff (especially Ziga and Tom) went above all expectations to help us enjoy our first time in Ljubljana. We will likely never experience hospitality like this again. Thank you so much!

Modern and fresh hotel in the centre of Ljubljana. However kind of pricy for being Slovenia.

Nice hotel, which is really close to the old town quarter. A lot of shops in the close proximity, the hotel is even neighbour with brands like Swarovski, H&M, Zara and Mango. The hotel is itself is nice, the breakfast is good with a lot of choices to make. The rooms are adequate, but they need refurbishment soon, as the rooms get old. The bed sleep really good and the pillow menu is great.

The room is nice. The doors are a little translucent, and the shower head holder was loose. But apart from that it's nice. Unfortunately the restaurant is expensive, and the meals are small.

Couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. This is a country that is working very hard to shed a 'third world' reputation, and this property, in a lovely city, is an example! A fellow traveller fell ill, and staff did all possible. Plan to return. Ljubljana is a short drive from Trieste and a worthwhile itinerary.

Beware the Hotel is located in the pedestrian area and does not have its own garage, so you need to hand over the keys and wait approx. 30 min. For the return of the car. The cost of the garage seems to me excessive (18, €0 per day of stay). Otherwise the Hotel is very nice although the staff proves thoughtful but not always effective; I tried to book a table in the Hotel, but after telling me it was all booked a table remained free for over an hour.

Former prestigious hotel that would need a strong renovation of the rooms and common areas. In fact at the moment the entire ground floor and the restaurant are in full makeover.
The location is amazing: 1 minute walk to the Triple Bridge and then from the old Town.
Room at the front however quiet (limited traffic zone).
Access by car allowed to hotel guests and valet parking at €18 per day.

Everything just fine, again!

I had the worst experience from all the years I travelled all over the world. I am professor in Medicine and I ordered a room 3 days before the medical congress from 17 06 15 in order to work in my room at a book. In the first morning in the room I needed to phone to one of my patients in Israel. I tried to phone following the instructions-the telephone was out of order. From the 5 floor I got down at the reception and they said: the telephon is O K, and send me back at 5 floor. But the tel was also mute. I get down, they looked at me as if I am mentally disturbed and send me back again saying that a technician controlled and is O K! I went back-nothing. It was FOUR TIMES that I went and came back, finally a technician arrived but he did not knew to solve the problem and called another one-and I waited with him in my room a lot! — and this man finally arrived and said O K indeed it is not functioning-what a small child could see from the beginning! At that time the reception said they could move me at another room at another floor! Of course after I lost a whole morning useless and I was already empty of all energy it was not the case to pack and unpack and loose also all the rest of the day. On the top of it the manager ALEXANDER DJOSIC arrived also in my room and checked the phone! like is impossible to be cut but it was. Finally he offered me 20 Euro discount! from my bill of 7 days i. E. I paid 778 EURO instead of 798!

Beautiful hotel in central location, do not check the fifth star only for a shower that leaked. Breakfast superb! Recommended for all.

Nice place, We had gone there once and were really satisfied of our journey. The rooms were very nice and staff helpful.! the breakfast was tasty and variety was offered!

Food is ok, rooms are fine. No view. Staff are nice. One of the few not-so-bad hotels in Ljubljana.
