This place is worth a drive. In the area where we stayed some restaurants with above average reviews are present. But Resje tops them all. We got some good local wine. Delicious soup of the day. And our company of 6 had almost all the main courses on the menu so we could try a lot from each other. Defenitly want to come back and have another great dish. The combination of flavours on the plate is nowhere to be found in the area. Every ingredient of the dish has something savoury and special. The great food combined with excelent staff and a cosy place makes a night to remember.
This restaurant was rated on TripAdvisor and I was looking forward to having a meal here. I feel that prices were on a higher side (on average €15 for a main) since the restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere and doesn't offer any views. I ordered a pea soup and a trout and both dishes were beautiful. My partner had beef soup which had no taste at all and veil which wasn't cooked nicely. The local beers on offer were great. The waiter was nice and spoke good English however we felt that we were rushed to order. I wouldn't go back as there are better restaurants around.

This was by the far the best dining experience we had in Slovenia. We went with the two-course option and ordered different dishes to get a variety of flavors. Everything — almond crusted trout, pork tenderloin, mushroom soup, gnocchi with smoked trout — was extremely flavorful and properly prepared. Even the side salad was exquisite. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some excellent wines to pair with our meal. We found the prices to be very reasonable. Our lone regret is that we were only able to have one meal here.
