Very friendly host, very interested, helpful with a lot of good tips. He knows very much of Slovenia. The house is very clean. Every week clean sheets, enough towels and every week (when you stay longer) cleaning of the apartment including when you leave. You can use the whole house except a few rooms from the host. He lives in the same house but fully respects your privacy. Several showers and a bath. Everything you need in the fully new kitchen is available; coffeemaker, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, ironing board, etc. Since 2012 there is also a sauna available with cool down shower and relax area. Also professional salt products for after the sauna visit. Rare in Slovenia, imported from the Himalaya. This was the first place in 35 years we went back. Also because of the very friendly host. Bled lies very central in Slovenia. Enough restaurants, not to expensive. Several supermarkets and a bakery on tree minutes walk with seven days a week fresh rolls. Several nice shops and terraces. Very clean lake to swim in. A footpath around the lake for instant for an evening walk of about 6 km. Beautiful surrounding for walking or biking, also not to far for renting a canoe or in winter for skiing in ski center Vogel. All Slovenian people speak English, are very friendly and helpful.
