I booked a room for staycation for my friend's bachelorette party on 5 December 2020. Booking was confirmed on agoda in September 2020, 3 months ago. Called up on 30 November 2020 to ask for early check-in, and their staff Ben said we could check-in early at 12pm which we were grateful for. On the day itself, when we attempted to check-in at 12pm, the staff claimed that there was no space for us and that they were not staycation approved by the government. They claimed that they have cancelled the booking on booking. Com and tried to reach out to me on 28 November 2020 via booking. Com to inform me of the unavailability but I was uncontactable. This is ridiculous, because I booked via agoda, not booking. Com and my agoda reservation status was still upcoming. Moreover, there was a message on 28 November 2020 but I could not see the message or attachment to the message. Even then, when I called on 30 November 2020, Ben could have informed me if there was a problem with my booking. But he sounded like he knew I was checking in and even said we could check in early. With all of us there with our bags packed for the staycation, we ended up having to scamper for a last minute accommodation due to the rude shock that they cancelled our booking at 12pm the day of check in. This was supposed to be my friend's bachelorette party celebration, and we even had a cake scheduled to arrive at 2pm at the accommodation.
