Hotel

I have yet to step in to the room and already am put off by the inefficiency of the hotel. Check-in time was 2pm. We were told they are preparing the rooms so we decided to come late. Arrived at 3pm for check-in and the hotel supposedly known for being modern took like 10min for the check-in itself. Then we were told they are still cleaning the room. We have to wait 30min or so. Now at 3.34pm we were told they need another 10mins. The room itself isn't cheap. And by cutting our time, it is not being fair to us. Bad experience even to start especially when this was a place I was looking forward to and my partner decides to surprise me. not to mention there's no free parking.

Quite nice for a budget hotel, but the room size is so tiny. Foods were nice but limited in variety. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Overall a solid B.

Very friendly and efficient staff throughout the hotel. The reception, the restaurant, the cleaning, the Engineering dept are staffed by amazing people. Keep up the good work. I will surely be back for the third time.

From the moment we arrived it seemed like we were invisible it took them at least five minutes to realize we were standing in front of them they weren't happy they looked stressed checking was quite smooth but once we got to the room we found out how ridiculously small apparently it's the norm in Singapore my bathroom is bigger at home and the smell that's another thing I need to talk to them about.

My experience with the checkin of the hotel is not really that great as firstly the manager told me to place a deposit of 50 dollars without explaining to me the reason for the deposit. He then told me that debit cards are not accepted by the hotel and that I have to make my way to the 7 11 to withdraw money. It is however not stated in the in anywhere on the webpage and on agoda that they do not accept debit cards and I feel that it is kind of troublesome for those people who came to check in to the hotel with no cash or credit cards. As the 7 11 nearby have no cash for withdraw and there is no atm nearby, I went back to the hotel to ask the guy if we are able to check in first and pay the deposit later. He allowed us to do so but said we are not able to call for room service and not able to charge our bills to the room. That is fine by me but I feel on his part he could have made it clearer at the start instead of wanting the deposit as I personally do not like to charge anything to the room and will rather pay it through my debit card. That was just the start, when we checked in I realise that the wall plug was faulty and we are not able to make our coffee on the table and instead we can only do it on the floor as the next working plug in inside the drawer. It is very inconvenient for us as we have to be more careful when we are walking around.

The hotel location and design are very well and inspiring. However, their customer service are as worst as it can be. For the attention, I am being served by manager alike as I can see that her uniform is different from others. The parking at level 2 is not being specify that it don’t belong to the hotel. We as hotel guest will assume that it belong to them as it had all signs that saying that the carpark is on the second level. When confronted by us, the manager staff just keep quiet and give me a stern look with a response — “ you also didn’t tell me that you drive”. So this is the kind of response and attitude that your manager are trained? Imagine what will happen to those under her? Hope the hotel senior management would look into this, and give me a proper explaination.

Interior design of lobby and rooms is nice and cozy. Food at the restaurant is also very yummy. Free parking at ground level — altho limited lots. Friendly staffs. Swimming pool area is nice too.

You Can’t Go Wrong… Overall we had the perfect stay in Singapore at the MSocial Hotel. Upon checking in we are greeted by their accommodating and friendly front desk personnels NURI and GRETCHEN, checking in went very smoothly and very fast since we are eager to rest a little bit and freshen up then head out. And ARMANDO is very friendly and accommodating service was excellent he greeted us with a nice smile upon entering the restaurant making us forget how tiring our trip is. I find our room very nice and clean, I love the modern but homey design of the room with loft and with a great view, and the bathroom is well cleaned. Then when we were about to charge our gadgets we saw that our plugins are not compatible with the sockets so we called the front desk to request adapters, when we requested, aura arrived in our door a room service robot with the adapter, it was very cute and innovative and it was fast too. The location of hotel is also perfect and accessible since we are always having a tour around Singapore and there are several restaurants around nearby. Our room is regularly cleaned, the beds are made every with fresh towels daily. And the nespresso machine is a plus with capsule refills if we want a good cup of coffee anytime. I have to mention the beds are so comfy perfect to get some sleep after a whole tiring day out. The hotel restaurant named Beast and butterflies I must say has a beautiful ambiance, great food and excellent service.

Budget hotel with budget service. You get what you paid for. Cleanliness are embarrassingly subpar. Room is extremely small.

I would say that it is definitely a different breed than the usual hotel that I have come to expect. Room are smaller as it is comparably cheaper as well. Overall a pleasant experience and enjoyed having robot to serve me as well as have them prepared my omelette. A bit far from the usual MRT and shopping area. However the area have a lot of nice classy restaurant and drinking place beside the waterway. Nice place!

Really good service and cozy ambience. The main door of the rooms are however difficult to close and lock, we needed to pull really hard on the doors to make sure that it locks and had to check multiple times if it really was. The light sensor in the toilet goes off way too fast, and it sometimes doesn't detect movement when you're inside, leaving you in the dark. Overall, it was a good experience with friendly staff and amazing food at beast and butterflies. Will visit again!

The doors have to be closed very precisely or it won't lock and can be easily opened. Concierge forgot to activate one room card, and only activated the other card for one out of the two nights. Staff were friendly and room was comfortable otherwise.

Rooms were great, location beautiful and service good. Few things to note / be aware of is the bathroom sink is in the bedroom. The breakfast is a jack of all trades, master of none, in the sense that everything looked interesting, and was a ton of different things to try, but none of them were amazingly tasty.

This is a special hotel. The style and the design is different to all other hotels I have been to. And I’m in love with it. For me it was perfect in every detail. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and deliscious, it’s located in the centre just some meters away from the bars, and right next to the beautiful river, the rooms are so unique, clean and cozy. I can recommend msocial a lot. Usually I like to see different hotels, but if I’m ever again in Singapore I would love to come back there. Amazing!

Hotel itself is nice, but relatively expensive for what it is. Good luck finding any basic information on things like the restaurant opening hours while you're staying there. Something like a hotel guide doesn't seem that important until you don't have one. To be honest, the lack of information (for multiple reasons) detracted from a pretty nice, stylish hotel with nice quiet clean rooms. I also felt it was overpriced for what seemed like a pretty reasonably slow period (it didn't seem like the hotel was very full). Staff are very polite and act promptly, but can be slow on the uptake. The location is good, with the slight drawback that it isn't close to any metro lines. Nearest buses are about 10 minutes away, but taxis are very cheap and good.

Hotel is very well maintained. Staff were all very friendly and check in was a breeze. Bed was very comfortable but all pillows were too soft for my liking. Not so suitable for people with neck issues. The gym was well stocked and very empty. Swimming pool area is nice too, and usually not packed.

Loved this hotel for a relaxed stay in Singapore. The breakfast is a delicious and fresh buffet with a mix of English and Asian breakfasts plus lots of fresh fruit and a hilarious egg frying robot. There is also a cute robot who takes you to breakfast in the morning. Comfortable beds, stylish interiors and rainfall showers. Only real negatives are the TV channels are quite limited and it's not super close to any MRT stations but not any substantive issues.

Lovely new hotel by Philip stark. Friendly staff and environment. Great outdoor edgeless swimming pool. Rooms are fantastic, but not very big like every hotel in Singapore. Good location and walkable distance to many restaurants and bars. River front!

Very nice hotel in a quiet area, although there are plenty of options for dinner and drinks here. Check in and check out was very pleasant. The rooms are small but feel very spacious. These are the types of rooms I prefer, no nonsense, modern and a great bed. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was good but a bit hard to get to by bus or train. Cab will be your best bet! However, there are many cafés and restaurants around so it's great! Room is a bit smaller than expected and the terrace was nothing special however the room gives a really stylish vibe. Great for staycation. No room service was available though. We had to go down ourselves just to get a bucket of ice. Not what I expected if I paid over $300 for a room. A little disappointing in that sense.

Tiny room. Really tiny bathroom. Breakfast was good. Robot thing really tiring. Did not see any kids here. Counter service really really good though. Very courteous and extremely helpful. Smiles, smiles, smiles. Morning noon and night. Wouldn't mind coming here again just for that. Location a bit out of the way. Ok for those looking for a good night's sleep. Really quiet. Soundproofing pretty good in the room.

A nice hotel with super comfortable beds, a great business class hotel with good facilities and wonderful staff. However, the corridors feel a bit too gloomy for me, maybe it's just the way the decor is as well. Rooms are tiny — as is the norm for Singapore. But tiny things are missing, like a comfortable night light that makes it easier to sleep without worrying you will bump into stuff. A bedside light you can actually turn on — there was no obvious way to turn it on. I wish they would stop with the see-through bathrooms which are annoying if you're a couple.

Check in was straightforward and easy, so was checking out! The room was very clean and spacious, I love the lofts! Been there 2 times to each loft. The location was good too, with shutter bus or taxi. Highly recommend!

Comfortable, but cramped, especially if twin bed. The bathroom is very small. Breakfast was very good. A robot that fries scrambled eggs often hangs.

Front desk staff were so hospitable, food was acceptable. Room was small, but well planned out. May not immediately go back, but only due to the desire to check out other hotels within the same price bracket.

A bit far from center but taxi come very quick within 5 minutes. New hotel with modern design. The robot at the reception was cute. Staffs are helpful. Love the room. Small but functional.

Except for the absence of in-room dining, this is the best hotel I've been in. Update: This is the third time I stay here. I can safely say that this is still the best hotel I have been in. It's hip, cool and stylish. Staff is made up of mostly down to earth, young, and very helpful individuals. Highly recommended!

Cool hotel that even gives you a cell phone, very useful.

Booked the loft. It was nice a cosy. 2 stars because the room wasn't clean. The cup was so dirty, even after I left it out to be "replaced", it was just poorly cleaned and placed back again. Best to check the cleanliness of the cups before using. Gym is small but enough for a simple workout. Swimming pool is nice. I wouldn't say that the location is good. Within walking distance, there are a handful of places for food, but choices are very limited. They do provide an android phone that give you data during your visit. Staff are young, seem inexperienced, but are friendly. They have a shuffle bus that runs during the day to their other linked hotels and Great World City Mall, Paragon and Plaza Singapura.

Checked out yesterday after a single night's stay. Would not have necessarily chosen M Social as it is a little isolated in Singapore with poor access to the MRT. But I got a decent rate and I was really happy with the choice. The cutting-edge design is very cool, enhanced by the hi-tech robots and their interaction with guests. Awesome! I liked the local area next to the river with several decent places to drink and eat on the waterfront. Not overly touristy and a more relaxed vibe. The pool was also good for a few laps and to take in the sun. The room I had was very small and if you happen to claustrophobic, this hotel is probably not the place for you. However, for a night or two where you don't need to hang out in the room except for sleeping, this place is to be recommended. Special shout out to Nuri on the front desk who was very helpful. And many thanks to the hotel for the later checkout time to better coincide with my flight time.

Good hotel, only our usual plugs to sockets not fit. In the room without the adapter do not charge anything.

Bed is small… Like smaller then queen…. But theme was nice… Bathroom small… No complimentary car park… So take note is u were driving.

This hotel is the worst I have been to.
Firstly, the check in time took way too long check in is at 2pm but only got to the room at 3pm. Which is wasting an hour of the amount I reserved the room for.
The breakfast was a poor spread of choices there was no local cuisine and the staff were not helpfull at all I had to go and retrieve my own water/honey from behind the counter because the staff had disappeared. Outside hawker centre food which is more affordable is so much better than $20 worth of the limited breakfast spread. Burrowing a plate, the front desk could not provide me, an In House guest with a spare.
The pool was disgusting it was not cleaned properly I could see so much perineal hair at the bottom. The worst was the hornets that had decided to make a nest in the weeds growing around the fences. I could not rest in peace and I got stung by one big hornet. Instead of relaxing by the pool I was busy fighting off the hornets swarming around me with the pool towels.
The aura robot is useless it is abnormally too slow in its delivery I had to wait 30 minutes to get proper plates to my room after the manager was contacted. With the time waiting for the redundant robot I could have easily taken the lift to the restaurant and gotten what I needed. My legs move faster than the robot which also got stuck along the corridor because the space is narrow.
The fridge in the room was pathetic it did not work my drinks were not chilled immensely.

The room hotel & room is very unique although the room was a bit too small for me. The location is great. The breakfast was great, and most guests found that the robotic egg-cook is very entertaining. The minus is that we have to pay deposit of SGD100 a day.

The room design looks good, but it uses a lot of problems. There is no place to put clothes next to the bed upstairs, and the last step is especially easy to hit the foot.

Love the novelty. Rooms are small but the entertainment value of the robot, room design and lighting makes up for everything. Never regret give this place a try. My two boys loved it. They like the gadgets in the room.

Staffs were pretty nice and friendly, only that I had problem with reliability issues and perhaps the cleanliness of the hotel (not to blame on the hotel fully but also my sensitive skin and contradictinally that my daughter and husband got rashes too) I email-ed thrice to confirm that I am able to check in at 11am, first two email mentioned and confirm that I am able to do so whereas it stated that it was depends on the availability after the reading the email they sent me. Fortunately the third time, I emailed them again asking the same question before the day I check in to triple confirm, they told me that they can only confirm on the day itself so I called them at 11am to enquire, they told me only at 12noon then I can check in. Thanks god that I confirmed (Imagine I reached there at 11am and got to wait especially when I was holding a bag, one bag of foil balloons and 16 helium balloons all alone) Checking in took me quite awhile, roughly half an hour due to their overwhelming queue maybe because that timing was a checking out timing. On that night itself, my whole leg was itching and spreading to the other parts of my body probably from the furniture or the floor. When we were in the swimming pool and went we look inside the pool, we can see a lot of dirty substance too. Hence, I am doubting the cleanliness of the hotel basing on some of the reviews I had read online too.

Very compact Starck-designed hotel with comfy beds, a great swimming pool and a decent breakfast. There's a robot as an eye-catcher, even one baking eggs. This is the Asian-style Citizen M — except for the check-in, which was friendly but uncomfortably long.

Well designed hotel — the rooms are nice and very modern. However — and this is the killer — the check-in and check-out are FRUSTRATINGLY inefficient. Happened EVERY time i've stayed there (we have a corporate account). 30 min each time. Obviously the management don't care or are incapable to make the changes.

Really nice hotel by the river and within easy walking distance of the city center attractions. Plenty of great restaurants and shopping nearby. Room was compact but very comfortable. Swimming pool and sun deck on the roof is great for unwinding after a long day.

Locate amongst the residences. Hip vibe, lifestyle hotel, one of 2 hotels designed by Philippe Starck. Rooms are small but tastefully designed. Cosy feel. Food taste good at Beast & Butterflies restaurant.

To whom it may concern, I am writing this email while I'm STILL waiting for my room to be ready. Upon arriving at the hotel at 3.30pm, there was a long queue for the check-in which I thought would have cleared within minutes. But little that I know this wait would have lasted for 45mins. This is the first time I have waited so long just to get my check in arranged with any hotels. Self Check-in was available BUT even after checking in yourself, you still had to follow the main queue to get the card key from the staff! Didn't really get the rationale of having a self check-in system though. When it was my turn I thought the torture was over. But to my surprise, IT WASN'T! Your staff told us that the room was still not ready! Which is really puzzling, I am checking in to your hotel at YOUR requested timing but yet the room is not ready. So what's the point of me checking in at your requested timing then. My question to your staff was, "Why is the room still not ready? Since we checked in at in accordance to your timing. " But instead of answering my question, your staff just tried to brush it off that she has already informed the housekeeping team and it will only take awhile before my room is ready. Since your frontline staff are unable to answer to my question, I believe your hotel do have the responsibility to answer on their behalf. So may I know why is the room not ready when I didn't do an early check in?

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Stayed here for a week. Brilliant service, fast check in and check out. Cool and reasonably priced rooms. Comfortable beds. Love that I was taken to my room by a robot. Nice roof top pool and gym. House keeping are efficient and flexible. Excellent hotel, will stay again.

Nice place to stay. Price are reasonable. View are good. There is a river behind the hotel. A good place to hangout and have a beer with your friends beside the river.

Check-in and — out service is very slow. The room is very small and dark, design is not human-centric esp with the stairs to go up and down to bed and bath. The air conditioner is blowing to my head as my bed is upstairs, and I hurt my leg multiple times because of the stairs design and small bathroom.

Very nice designer boutique hotel, room is lovely design with loft shape and the view from the top flour is fantastic. Only downside is no mrt station in walking distance.

Awesome hotel. Great concept with the cute robot maid. Rooms and facilities are very new and chick. The only complain was the location is far from any attractions. But still walking distance tp central.

A relatively new hotel but in a fantastic tucked away location and a simple walk to a lot of great bars and restaurants — will definitely go back on next Singapore trip.

Great hotel although the rooms are small and the loft idea doesn't really makes sense. I never went up there to watch TV, I would prefer to have it next to the bed. Breakfast is great and makes the stay!

Trendy boutique hotel. Really unique loft type rooms with balconies. Entirely non smoking though.

Very stylish and chic. But somehow the most affordable rooms seem a little bit too compact.
