Buisson Guesthouse

This guest house was beyond amazing to us and to our needs. The owners we're so friendly and also very helpful with plans to fill up our days on the island.
This really felt like a hidden gem, especially when you come in the first time. The guest house opens up like a beautiful private garden paradise. We had a outside shower and a outside area to our room, this was perfect when you came back from the beach and some sand on you that needed washing off before entering the room. The room was easy to get chilly enough with the AC and the fan in the roof. The room was also really clean.
The breakfast that was served was just beyond our expectations. Doris came with so many great foods to us, including eggs, pancakes, toast, fried bananas and also a great fresh fruits plate every morning too. These were lovely to enjoy while watching the Gekkos roaming around in nearby plant leafs and bushes.
This place is nicely placed close, but at the same time a bit hidden from the main street of the island, so that the distance is short to get there and you dont hear any noices from there in the evening/night when you want to relax. So I can highly recommend this place when you are taking the trip to La Digue island.

Wow! What a place. The location is great, close to the ferry terminal and the Main streat, but in the end of a street so it is nice and quite and super lush. You will be surrounded by bananas, palm trees, bananas, flowers and birds chirping. And thats just the Surroundings! Charles and Doris are the best hosts. Super friendly and helpful. Sharing their stories and information about the seychelles and life in La Digue. They made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. I thank I've never felt anywhere more welcoming besides my mum's house. True value for money. Our room had everything we needed and great air-conditioning. The breakfast was over the top and I loved the outside shower and chill area. Make sure you spend a few nights here in La Digue!

We are a family with two young children and stayed in one of the rooms at this guesthouse. The space included two air-conditioned bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. It was well decorated, clean, and cozy. A refrigerator was also available, and Wi-Fi was free of charge.
We were warmly welcomed by Charles, who gave us some helpful advice about visiting the island. The outdoor area is very well maintained. It is worth noting that the guesthouse is not located in the town center, requiring about a 7-minute walk (or a bicycle, which can be rented on-site or from one of the many rental companies nearby).
What we enjoyed most about this experience was the breakfast, which was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety of options (eggs, pancakes, juice, coffee, bread, etc. ). As we were leaving very early on the last day, Doris prepared a packed breakfast for us to take along and enjoy on the way (sandwiches, pancakes, and juices).
As a negative point, we must mention that on the day of departure it was raining heavily, and no solution was offered to help us stay sheltered on the way to the ferry, especially considering we were traveling with two young children. I even asked Doris if she could lend us some umbrellas, but she refused, stating that they would not be returned afterward. As a result, we arrived at the ferry completely soaked, with our backpacks and luggage all wet.

An absolutely wonderful stay here at Buisson Guesthouse. Such a warm welcome from Doris and lots of very helpful tips and friendly chat. Doris kindly sorted us out with bike rental at half the price of other providers. Excellent room with a great deal of care taken over presentation. Very clean — everything spotless. Excellent breakfast in the morning with pancakes, omelettes, a fruit platter, etc. A truly first rate experience. Thank you so much!

Loved staying at the buisson guesthouse. The hosts treat you like family. Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and surprised at how big and we'll appointed the bathroom was… one of the best gardens in La Pass. Couple minutes bike ride into town.

Amazing place and even better people. We stayed here for 2 nights in the break of the sailing and we cannot choose better place. Tasty breakfast, great bike rental. If we will visit La Digue next time we will stay here as well 😍

Everything was great! Clean room with air con. Super friendly and accommodating service. Were allowed to use the kitchen to make a meal. Breakfast is abundant. Bike rental available. Located close to town, although a little way back. You can pay with card which is good!

It can’t be written by words how nice are Doris and Charles. They explain you everything about the island and help you with the stuff. The breakfast is even better than in 5stars hotel. They serve you local fruit (a lot) 😁. Hope to can comeback. The kids also love them.

We’ve had a wonderful stay and Doris and Charles were very nice.
They gave us useful information about the island and Doris was always happy to answer the many questions I had about the country and its people living there.
Unfortunately due to the many intolerances I have I could not have breakfast but my husband really enjoyed it.
It’s close to the jetty and shops/restaurants.
We rented bikes for 100 rupees/day.

There is a reason why Buisson is consistently rated at the top of the guesthouses in La Digue… in fact, many reasons! Doris and Charles are the most gracious and accommodating hosts you could possibly hope for and have indeed become our good friends in the Seychelles after three stays at Buisson over the years. We recently chose to celerbrate our 40th wedding anniversary with them and could not have made a better decision. Lovely surroundings, clean and pretty room with a very comfortable bed and everything else you could need. Breakfasts are fantastic with an amazing variety of fruit right from the property, homemade jams and crepes, toast and eggs and fruit smoothies as well as coffee or tea. You will not go hungry! Great location not far from the jetty so easily walkable when you arrive on the ferry. Rent some bikes for your stay and you can then reach all of the breathtaking beaches La Digue has to offer. For the best stay on La Digue, don't hesitate to book Buisson!

Very nice small house, only 3 rooms for guests (one consists of two rooms with bed for two each), well separated from one another. Very caringly furnished. Air condition. Wi-Fi. Nice bathroom with a shower. Large and beautiful terrasse, where breakfast is served but it is also possible to just sit and stare into the lushest garden I have ever seen. Btw the room overlooks to the garden, one has the feeling of living in the middle of an unbelievable jungle. Breakfast is not a buffet, it is served, but wishes are asked and fulfilled, if possible. I had the very best fruit smoothie in the Seychelles! Last but not least, the owners (and also the chambermaid) are super friendly and helpful. They help with reservations, trips, ideas. Bicycle is available for rent. Overall it is a highly recommendable accommodation at walking distance to the jetty.

We spent 7 very relaxing wonderful days on La Digue. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and just like visiting a family :)
Charles, Doris and Georgette took a increadable care of us — giving us local information and sharing tips, patiently answering our "milions of question" and providing for warmhearted, clean and cosy stay.

Large fridge for your own use. Enough storage for personal items and clothing.
Safe was useful to have. Wifi was great.
Air Conditioner is new and worked magically 🙏.

Tasty, colourful and local version of breakfast with fruit platter, marvelous home made marmelades, pancakes  choices of eggs.
Delicious and inviting to try new fruits you never even seen before (my fav discovery was "sour soup" fruit❤️).
Surroundings/House.
House is located 5 min walk from the Jetty in very quiet area — you will be in the middle of local residences. Garden is breathtaking — full of local flowers and fruit plants. Outdoor shower to rinse off the beach sand.
Bicycles for rent on the spot (very much recommended! ).
We are extremely happy that we chose this guest house for our first trip to Seyschells and La Digue!

Amazing. We came here because of all the previous excellent reviews and they are correct. Doris and Charles are fantastic and provide everything needed, great information and lovely food. Would definitely recommend. Rooms are also a very good size.

The owners Charles and Doris are very nice people. Both go to great lengths to ensure that customers have a pleasant stay. Charles gives valuable tips for touring La Digue. Doris manages to conjure up a lovely breakfast every morning.
