Amazing place to stay in Sine Saloum. Peaceful and quiet, far from everything, a real oasis in Senegal! You only hear the sea, birds and wind. The simple huts are comfortable, sun-beds and hammocks are available, the place has a great kitchen, we also loved the local basil tea. Prices of food and drinks are very good, prices of drinks are similar to other places in Senegal, food is slightly more expensive than in restaurant but delicious. You need to be mindful of what is included in the price of the stay. Simple breakfest is included containing baguette, butter, marmelade, coffee, tea and milk. Anything else like e. G. Eggs is extra. We were on a rather small budget so we ordered services from other sources — we got the horse cart on the arrival (we bargained for 2000CFA vs 5000CFA/cart from the lodge) and we booked the half day boat trip to the mangroves through the agency Salam Saloum in Dangane (25.000CFA per pax vs. 40.000 CFA offered by the lodge). There is no hot shower, you get a bucket of hot water. Wi-Fi works very badly and only in the reception area. But we didn’t mind any of this to be honest, we loved the place very much. I would absolutely recommend!
