Le Vasa Resort

We had a great stay at Le Vasa, the beachfront Bure we had was lovely and it was to celebrate my 40th birthday trip and the start of our honeymoon travel year and they had made Love Swans with the towels on the bed which was a lovely touch! Great service and great staff. We really enjoyed our stay here, a very relaxing and special place. Not too far from the airport and the car ferry as well. It was nice and quiet while we were there and we enjoyed playing on the pool table! Thank you team.

The service from Fia and the dinner and breakfast staff was great. Note if you have a free breakfast with this Resort ask which breakfast is provided. To prevent paying for food thats not part of your deal. Recommend for transit purposes like easy access to port and airport. The bungalows are very, very basic but I can't speak for the other accommodation options. Great pool not sure if suitable for families with young kids. Its struck me being party central. Very intoxicated mature guests — I'm not prudish but incredibly appalling behaviour. Therefore wouldn't recommend for young families.

We stayed for 2 nights at Le Vasa Resort on 29-31 April 2026. From time of arrival, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in Bungalo Fale the view was amazing and the bungalo was very welcoming and beautiful. The pool was our highlight, it was clean and lovely to swim in. The view to Manono tai was absolutely gorgeous. Food and drinks at the restaurant were a bit expensive but they were worth it. The manager shouted me and my husband a round of drinks which was very kind and hospitable of him. Will definitely be booking another stay on our next trip to our motherland (as promised to the rest of my children who didn't come the first time)

This is an excellent resort to relax, soak up the sunshine and be looked after by all the fantastic staff.
We stayed in the Superior Bungalow which is spacious and comfortable with amazing large covered deck right on the water complete with small fish swimming about. Private, comfy beds, excellent aircon and massive shower. The pool and pool area are great with the bar close by. The restaurant is good, perfect to relax with a cocktail and watch the sunsets, every night these were beautiful. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Easy to get to town on the local bus for a peak about the market for anything you need. If we could go back tomorrow we would. Thank you so much for looking after us, we will be back. It was our first time staying at Le Vasa and it did not disappoint. Our room was spacious with a large balcony over looking the water…Amazing!
The gardens around the resort are immaculately kept. The pool wasn’t massive but was clean and the bar was close by to grab a cocktail or beer and just laze by the pool.
The food was delicious…probably the best raw fish and taro chips we have tried in Samoa and the BBQ night…yumm! 😋
If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to the airport definitely try here.
We will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing stay at Le Vasa Resort. The staff were warm and accommodating. I loved it so much I added an extra night (which was no trouble at all for the reception staff). The owners are very cool and knowledgeable. I stayed in two different rooms — both were beautiful and clean. The restaurant served delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have bikes, kayaks and organise various tours which are far better value than others I’ve done on Upolo independently. Biking around the surrounding villages was a great experience and the locals are very friendly! If you do want to get and about and see more of Samoan life it is easy — there is a wharf nearby with boats to Manono Island which is stunning and very different from other areas I’ve seen around both Upolo and Savaii. Dalton from the resort was a fantastic driver and tour guide and was happy to answer my 1000 questions. Will be recommending to anyone heading to Samoa! Sad to leave.

A nice resort with truly incredible grounds — the views were absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in two different room types, and while both were very basic, they were comfortable enough. This is not a luxury resort by any means, but it works well for a short stay.
The food and service were simple — nothing special, but not terrible either. It’s perfectly fine for a night or two.
I wouldn’t recommend it for an extended vacation stay, but I would suggest it for a quick stop before flying out, especially given its close proximity to the airport. It’s convenient and practical for that purpose.

We stayed our last night here before flying out. I am not into writing reviews or being negative. To write this sensitively, if you would like to experience the beauty of Samoa, this resort does not offer it.
We had 10 days of bliss in Samoa, staying in Lalomanu Beach and then out to Savai'i. Everywhere we went was incredibly friendly staff, stunning lagoon's and impeccable pride in their garden's and resort. This resort is the opposite.
On first impressions, we stopped the car and checked the map as we thought we had pulled into the wrong resort — the grounds are scruffy and unkept, which is such a contrast to everywhere in Samoa.
On arrival, there was no polite greeting, cold drink or welcoming gesture. We were asked for a copy of our passport and a credit card, in case there was any breakages, then we would be charged. Additionally a sheet of rules we had to sign, dictating other charges that could be made to our card. The owner was standing right in reception, and did not acknowledge us. A remarkable contrast to everywhere we had experienced in Samoa!
Arriving at our room, the kids were going to go for a swim straight away. The beach infront of the rooms is completely murky and looks very uninviting. Even the next morning when it was more settled, it was completely murky.
The good things — it's ideal for quick accessibility to the ferry and airport. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Good breakfast.

The resort was located on the west coast of Upolu about 15-20mins from the airport, with direct beach/lagoon access. We were in room 13 (right near the office so abit noisy at times but we spent most days outside the room). The room was air-conditioned (ensure windows are closed) and serviced often by the staff. The staff provided another single bed for our daughter, upon request. The resort had a restaurant, bar, rec room and swimming pool (which were open on public holidays as well). It had a few shaded fales, hammock, seating areas and picnic tables right near the beach front for a good sunset view. You could also use their kayaks for free during high tide and take an invigorating trip around the lagoon or watch a sunset or two. They offer fishing charters both within and outside the reef (where we caught 1 GT). The food and drinks were delicious but abit pricey (alcoholic drinks or dessert cocktails were approx WST 15-30 while meals were approx. WST 40-60).

We stayed here for 4 nights.
The Sunset Villa was fabulous. We had 2 rooms, kitchenette, private plunge pool and outdoor area with beautiful sunsets. The room was clean.
The resort was well looked after with gorgeous landscaping. The food was good.
It’s located close to the airport & ferry to Savai’i.
We are big surfers, snorkelers & explorers, so used our car for daily trips to the South East Coast beaches.

Le Vasa — We travelled with five families and stayed in Deluxe Bungalows, a VIP room, and a Fale. We absolutely loved the Samoan charm in each accommodation. While some beds were more comfortable than others, the stunning waterfront location more than made up for it—those sunsets were truly magical.
The pool is fantastic, and having access to kayaks and snorkeling gear kept us entertained right at the resort. The staff were incredible, accommodating our entire group and even setting up the outdoor table so we could always dine together. A special shoutout to Phylis, who went above and beyond caring for us at the restaurant and during the boat tour.
There were a couple of times when menu items were unavailable, but that’s part of the holiday experience—just go with the flow. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this resort.

The views were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the service from the waiters was disappointing and could have been much friendlier and more understanding. We placed our order at 2:47 pm and waited over 40 minutes for 2 meals. While I am patient, when I politely asked a staff member for an update, I was met with a very cold response. If the goal is to accommodate guests well, friendlier and more attentive service would make a big and better difference.

I stayed in one of the cheap rooms overlooking the little lagoon. The room was very small but well decked out, super comfy and clean, and the outdoor shower was to die for! Absolutely loved it 🩷. Plus the silence, and nothing but the sound of creatures rustling and splashing during the night was just awesome 💚
Swimming in the ocean here is not good, with poor visibility, but the pool is lovely 💙
The hotel is certainly remote, so only suited to people wanting to hang out in the hotel all day, or use it as a convenient stop before or after catching a ferry or flight (10-15 min drive). Hotel charges T50 for an early morning transfer, which is too much, but very convenient.
*Be careful of being overcharged here (check you food and drinks tab carefully), and everywhere else you go in Samoa. Don't pay extra to park your car in tourist spots, or overpay the taxi drivers. Airport to Apia is T60 for locals, but don't let them charge you over T80, and always make sure you have cash and the right change on you 👍

We spent five nights at Le Vasa and it was our favourite place to eat and skeep in Samoa! Beautiful rooms with reef views, incredible food, and genuinely lovely staff. We also appreciated the little touches like a coffee press and filtered drinking water.
It was wonderfully peaceful — no dogs or roosters — making it the perfect place to relax and sleep well. The pool was fantastic, and the complimentary kayaks were a highlight; we even spotted a turtle just offshore.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

We stayed at Le Vasa resort at the end of October for two nights at the start of our holiday. We were put in the room right next to the reception (room 13) which was the worst stay we have ever had. We were interrupted on several occassions with staff trying to open the door to our room from the storage room attached. Fully turning the knob and trying to get in. They were trying to open the door at 9pm at night. When I went to reception to complain about the disruption and request a new room, the owner said they could upgrade us to the only room available a VIP room for an extra $240NZD/night. She also assured me that no one could get into the room as it wasn't accessible from the reception side, but this was only because we had locked it from the inside. I told her it should not be my responsibility to pay for the upgrade, and she told me to think about it and let us know if we wanted to upgrade but we would have to pay. I explained if I knew I would have had a room that was basically a staff accomdation, with no privacy I would not have booked.
On the plus side the venue is nice and the pool is lovely. But the owner has a very bad attitude, and if you get lumped with room 13 don't waste your money.
Edit: Not rubbish, we stayed 25th October and 26th October. Booking was under my husband's name. And you were clearly informed of our complaints about the room.

Recommend this place and plan to stay again next time I am in Samoa and stay for longer. Simple private cabins with lovely sea view from the balcony and lovely leafy pool area with outdoor bar/restaurant with a nice ambience, especially in the evenings. The food there was very good. Mostly international style but at least they had one Samoan dish for each meal.
The cabin had fresh fly-wire on all the windows which is great because I could open the room up and use the fan rather than the a/c. Access to the shower and toilet for my room was private but accessed from outdoors, which I rather liked. The only weird thing about the room was the decision to block the view-facing windows by putting the a/c on one of them and an unnecessarily large cabinet in front of the other window. If it were me, I would try to expand the view from the room more rather than restrict it.

We booked Le Vasa resort for our stay in Samoa in October 2025 and, without intending to initially, we decided to have our wedding there, which was the best decision ever. Le Vasa offered excellent conditions for a very reasonable budget. The whole organization of the wedding took only a few emails, and we couldn't be happier. Actually, the reason we decided to get married in Samoa was exactly because the resort offered such a painless and easy process. Now, we have the most beautiful memories and will cherish them forever. The wedding day went perfectly, the organization was fantastic, the location gorgeous, the decoration beautiful, and the staff—all of them were superstars and made us feel so at ease, welcomed, and cared for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
As for the accommodation, we stayed at the Blue Manono House, which is a property 2 km from the resort but is managed by them. The house consisted of four bedrooms and two bathrooms, a big living area, a kitchen, and a large dining table. Perfect for a group of friends or a big family. Don't expect a luxury villa. The furnishings were modest, but we had everything that we needed and more. We were welcomed with a fruit basket, and they had left plenty of coffee and milk, which we very much appreciated. The location was just superb. Surrounded by water, the villa has a cute small fale and a private small lagoon—what more could you ask for?
