Formally named Hotel Rwanda, is perched on a top of a hill overlooking Kigali. I went there for the buffet lunch and drinks which was rather. There was a live band playing and people dancing. Wonderful atmosphere and from what I saw of the hotel it looked pretty nice.

Such a nice hotel. I really enjoyed the pool area. Definitely a first class place.

I will never forget the nice treat I had at this hotel in 2011. The reception was superb. Staff here are very friendly but professionals who respect. The meals were very good. Nice place for family vacation. Beautiful and very clean environment around the hotel. I would like to lodge there again in my next visit to Kigali.

This historic hotel featured in the movie Hotel Rwanda is situated near the Presidential Palace. It contains several rooms, a bar, a pool, a gym and other amenities. The bar on the ground floor has a great view of the city. I think it is a well maintained hotel but you can already tell that it requires refurbishing so that it can catch up with the new hotels that mushroom all over Kigali. The staff are very friendly and polite. There a memorial flame near the parking space.

A beautiful and historical hotel. Excellent service and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful food from the restaurant and the buffet breakfast was also excellent. Highly recommend visiting.

This opinion refers only to the bar of the swimming pool and the general reception : excellent service, the place provides an atmosphere very serene, the specialty cocktails are very good and prepared on demand with fresh fruit. The home is done in a professional manner while ensuring the safety of customers. The pool is open to customers who does not live in the hotel for the price of 7000FRW. The menu seems very appetizing. Hammocks, massage room, group music Sunday, perfect to relax.

Five star hotel well known for the movie acted there known as hotel Rwanda great environment and good food.

Maybe not the best in town, but I love this hotel for its history and its atmosphere… And its breakfast arrangement! My favorite, I come here all times I'm in Kigali!

We went here for drinks by the pool because we heard it was a nice hotel, and knew of the history of the place, and the reputation it gained during and after the genocide in 1994. We were not disappointed; the staff, especially bartender, were friendly and knowledgeable, and graciously allowed us to use the Wi-Fi while we were visiting. The cocktails were also very good.

Located in the heart of Kigali impossible not to perceive it, really beautiful.

A nice historic hotel with excellent restaurants at reasonable prices. I recommend La Panorama for romantic atmosphere, and Pool Bar where offers business lunch at Rwf7, 000.

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff. We were there for a lunch buffet. Good choice of food. I thought it rather expensive.

Lovely setting sitting in a garden right in the middle of Kigali. A true gem. Just have a latte or a juice. Swim and other amenities are extra. Very peaceful on a Sunday.

The Belgian airline Sabena built the Hôtel des Mille Collines in 1973 and owned it during the Genocide. The four-star hotel has 112 rooms, a bar, a café, three conference rooms, a restaurant, a swimming pool, and tennis courts. Overlooking the hills around Kigali, this posh hotel is a 6-minute walk from Kigali City Tower high-rise and a 9-minute walk from the Presbyterian Church in Rwanda. Choice rooms come with balconies, complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-screens, as well as safes, minibars, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Suites add living rooms. All quarters have garden, hill and/or city views. Room service is provided 24/7. Kids age 5 and under stay free.

Hello not very nice to charge the pool has large drinks consumers the only solution is to avoid bathing we will change places sorry.

Hotel staff are really nice and rooms are clean and ok. But there is not enough lighting in the rooms, so it is a bit dark and the food selection is minimal and a bit on the expensive side. However the location is good and rooms are quite affordable.

Great place and reasonably priced. It's ideally located you're close to most things. Museums, state house, shops, cinema, embassies, CBD etc. It's a 20min drive from the airport with moderate traffic (which in big cities is not traffic at all lol). Great pool and cabana area. The only fault I have is the food selection is minimal. They have a very small menu. The plus side is as mentioned it's ideally located and so have a pick of restaurants you walk or cab to close by.

I loved how organized their buffet is. Variety of food types in fact I got a chance to eat fruits that you could barely see around kigali. These ones normally are grown in desert areas and I just wonder how Thses people get them. I loved this one.

Famous for the Movie Hotel Rwanda. Mille Collines is still on of the best Hotels in Rwanda. Enjoy amazing Music Band every Thursday and Friday from 7pm.

Very Relaxing Atmosphere. If you select Hôtel des Mille Collines you will enjoy pleasant service and nice amenities. It is evident that this hotel does their best to make the guests feel welcomed.

Old hotel! Bath tub had rust and needed replacing. Good service! I liked the bar and the restaurant. Quiet cheaper than many hotels in kigali. Bath tub issues aside, everything else is okay.

All is well in this hotel mythical Kigali : the welcome, the ambience, the deco, the pool and the bar, the music trqditionnelle Friday night. A must for me.

Friendly staff, beautiful setting and wonderful food and drink. Service could be faster at the bar but it's OK for Kigali. The pool and Sunday brunch is a great treat.

NIce place for the 'happy hour' session at the end of the day. Service is a little slow unfortunately. The Panorama restaurant at the top floor is a must at least once. Great views of the city.

This hotel is the famous hotel in the movie, the film name is Rwanda hotel, It became famous after 1, 268 people took refuge inside the building during the Rwandan Genocide of 1994. The story of the hotel and its manager at that time, Paul Rusesabagina, was used as the basis of the film Hotel Rwanda. So you must come here to have a look at least to memorize the history.

A good Hotel, great breakfast buffet and the staff is really friendly. I didn't stay there, I was just there for lunch. But that was really good!

This is the best place to be, for you and your family… they do provide a good servises. Mille collines you re the best.

I like the food, they make it the way you really want, good swimming pool and a clean environment.

Its still the best hotel in Kigali. The hotel staff were polite, helpful and efficient in difficult circumstances (luggage delayed in transit). Room was more than adequate. Wi-fi was free (and too many international hotels are not). Bar service was a little on the slow side, but no real problem. Will always stay here when visiting Kigali.

This Rwandan named Paul saved my life from machete wielding monkeys, by drinking expensive whiskeys and beers with 5 star generals. Other than the constant fear of my head being dismembered from my body, it was pretty good!
