Hotel 2000 is a place where guests are pampered with care.
The attendant at the breakfast i*Neema) is just wonderful, so helpful, caring and readily available to attend to the guests.
She deserves commendation and promotion and a token gift to as a. Motivation.
The receptionists are really welcoming, there is a lady Jane, who is so welcoming and friendly. Her neatness, soft and caring voice can make guests/ customers to lodge at the 2000 hotel when ever in Kigali.
No doubt, I will recommend this facility to colleagues to enjoy this wonderful reception by these persons.

We had a wonderful stay at 2000 Downtown Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. I would like to especially thank Dodos, the driver, who was very friendly. He showed us several interesting places to visit and also pointed out some useful shortcuts.
A big thank you as well to César, Guillaume, and Clémentine, the restaurant servers, for their warm and professional service during both breakfast and dinner.

It's an ok place for a business traveller. The rooms are spacious. They have an iron box in the room.
However, you need to go early for breakfast otherwise you won't find any.
Also, though I think this is a Rwandan culture in general, the customer service at the front desk could get better. The ladies there could smile a bit more and even offer to assist.

I had a wonderful stay at T2000 Hotel in Kigali. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the amenities were top-notch. Great location, with easy access to the city center. Highly recommend!

Buyer beware! This hotel does not honor hotel reservations unless you are with a tour group. My friends and I arrived at 4:00 to check in for rooms booked several months in advance. They told us they were oversold (didn't bother to contact us before then) and that they would book us in a lower star hotel with terrible reviews and not A/C for the same price. The next story was people didn't check out so the rooms were gone. It got shadier and shadier with time. After we declined and requested other options, a small tour group came in and were quietly escorted to another area while their paperwork was handled for their rooms. They forced us to cancel our reservation (likely so we couldn't write a bad review) before they would do anything. We finally identified a new hotel for us across the street and had a lovely stay.
So, if you have booked independent with this hotel, find another option. You may or may not find you have a room.

I had an amazing experience. The service was good, so was the food and view especially at night. The hotel even gave me a key holder of a gorilla. Majestic.

2000 Hotel is definitely a great place to stay. I had originally booked a different hotel before arriving in Kigali, but once I landed and took a cab there, I realized it was too far from the city center. I asked the driver to turn around and head downtown instead. Thankfully, I found 2000 Hotel on Booking. Com, and to my relief, they had a room available. One standout feature of my stay was the complimentary laundry service, such a thoughtful touch. The staff were also incredibly warm and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our stay in 2000 hotel was truly such a comfortable and pleasant experience! The staff is extremely extremely helpful, caring and friendly, always attentive to our needs. They do your laundry for free which was extremely convenient. Lastly, they also have the best Chinese restaurant in the entire city, we had dinner several times and it was absolutely delicious. Lastly, we were picked up from the airport for free at 3AM in the morning, and waited for us as we had some issues during our arrival. Would definitely be coming back in my return to Kigali and I recommend 100% staying here.

The rooms are quite spacious, very organized and a nice view of the place. Definitely a 10 out of 10. The custom service was also good. People like Mr innocent to take care of any issues. The welcoming service was also one of the best I've seen. Good receptionists and the likes. Nice people too.

Truly traumatising experience. So a few days ago I did laundry in the hotel. I brought my clothes to the reception but they told me that they have to collect it from the room and told the housekeeper (a man) to come to my room with me (I am a solo female traveller). He kept asking questions about me and at first I thought he’s just talkative until he asked for my number. I really didn’t want to but he was in my room and I don’t know what he would do if I reject him so I had no choice but to give it to him. He started texting me and even called my number after I ignored his message. I really wanted to block him but couldn’t because he knows where I’m staying and don’t want to make him mad. He even sent flirtatious messages with hearts, which is completely inappropriate to send to a guest as someone in hospitality. I thought that I could just ignore him until the final night at the hotel. At 7pm, someone suddenly knocked on my door. I did not asked for anything so I found it really strange. I looked through the peephole and to my surprise it was him. I was so scared that I didn’t dare to make a sound and he kept knocking for 30 minutes! He even sent a message saying “hellooo! ”. After I stop hearing knocking sounds for a while, I double locked the door and used furnitures to block the door just in case. It was still a restless night because I was traumatised. I still get startled when I hear knocks now.

The breakfast spread was exceptional! The variety was impressive, offering something delicious for every taste – from fresh pastries and fruits to hot, cooked-to-order options. Everything was presented beautifully, tasted incredibly fresh, and the quality was top-notch. It was the perfect way to start each day. The catering overall reflects a real commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
2. Impeccable Cleanliness & Room Standards:
My room (906) was spotlessly clean and maintained to an exceptionally high standard throughout my stay. The attention to detail was evident – everything felt fresh, well-organized, and meticulously cared for. It provided a truly comfortable and welcoming haven to relax in. This consistent cleanliness significantly enhanced my overall comfort and sense of well-being.
3. Professional, Helpful, and Truly Outstanding Staff:
This is where 2000 Hotel truly shines. Every single staff member I encountered, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and concierge teams, was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. They were not just polite; they were genuinely attentive, proactive, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

I have stayed there for seven good days this May 2025 everything's were excellent starting from the airport shuttle, receptionist and the breakfast was amazing served with beautiful girls. Hotel Room is fantastic.

This hotel has great views over Kigali. I stayed for a full week and the staff was always friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was decent and it had very stable Wi-Fi.
One major letdown though was that they did not stop their guests from smoking in their rooms. The first room I got smelled really badly of smoke. The new room was fine and clean.
But not just the smell but the actual cigarette fumes in the hallways were unbearable and seemed to get worse everyday. There were a lot of Asian (primarily Chinese) guests who left their windows and even room doors open all the way while smoking IN THEIR NONSMOKING-ROOMS and basically filled the entire floor with smoke, eben though there is a designated area in the hotel for smoking. The fumes gave me a massive headache on several days and even though I complained twice, it didn't change anything. They offered me a room on a different floor but it was the same scenario everywhere.
Smoking in public is illegal in Rwanda — they even announce it on the airplane when you fly into Kigali. Unfortunately, the hotel management's lack of taking responsibility with this type of guest behavior will prevent me and my colleague from booking here again.

The hotel was located good location, well integrated.
The Wi-Fi not connect well, raised complaints and not attended my complaints almost my three days stays.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, it is an amazing hotel, staff are wonderful and very kind. The best staff is Keza, she will go out of her way to make your stay seamless.
One thing you should consider before booking here, smoking is allowed everywhere, guest smoke in elevators and literally everywhere. If you don’t like the smell stay in your room. Otherwise services and views are out of this world.

I spent Christmas in Kigali and stayed at 2000 hotel. The hotel is in the city center and is really nice. The rooms are spacious, the buffet breakfast is really good and the room service is fast. The airport pickup and drop off was also excellent, in a nice car and quick. But I’m rating 3 stars because I noticed my two wristwatches got pilfered from my room and I didn’t realize until I arrived back at home and unpacked my bags. For this reason, I will not be staying in 2000 hotel again if do visit Kigali again.
