Mövenpick Kigali

We are visiting from Australia and riding bicycles across Africa. This is an amazing 5 star hotel in all respects — world class standard. We had a great 3 night stay here. Customer service, accomodation, facilities and food all to a very high standard.
We had great service from Jean in the bar who took care of my wife’s serious food allergies by liaising with the restaurant and taking care of us each night as we ate dinner. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is new and clean. Real 5 star hotel. Everything went well. Just maybe the staff need to get more information about the hotel being member of Accor and they should know about the Accor program and what a Platinum member of Accor is entitled. But I feel the hotel need baggage rack. The one provided is just for brief case or small back not for luggage. Also the hotel should have towel rack to hack towel. Other than the above everything is excellent.

Loved my stay at the MovenPick Kigali.
My birthday dinner was nice, great service, great staff… shout out to Nandini and Alpha. Felt welcomed and appreciated! Would definitely recommend the hotel and extend my stay longer for the next time.

During a quick business lunch at Mövenpick Hotel, I had the pleasure of experiencing excellent service from Francois, whose attention to detail, strong product knowledge, and thoughtful food recommendations genuinely elevated the overall dining experience. His professionalism, warmth, and ability to anticipate guest needs reflect a very high standard of hospitality, and it was truly refreshing to experience such polished and attentive service.

I recently visited Mövenpick Kigali for a dinner date. At first, everything was perfect—the place is beautiful, and the waiter who served us was calm, kind, and gave us truly excellent service.
Unfortunately, our experience changed at the end. As we were leaving and taking a few pictures, a staff member (possibly a supervisor or manager) spoke to us in a very rude and disrespectful way. His tone was harsh and unwelcoming, which was honestly disappointing.
As someone who also works in hospitality, I know that this is not how clients should be treated—especially in a five-star hotel. We were being considerate, allowing others to pass before taking pictures, and we weren’t disturbing anyone.
When my friend tried to calmly address the situation, he raised his voice instead of apologizing or explaining politely. That moment really ruined what had been a lovely evening.
It’s sad because the hotel is truly beautiful, and experiences like ours are often shared through social media, bringing more guests in. I kindly hope the management can address this and provide better training, so no other guest has to feel the way we did.
Thank you.

Mövenpick Hotel Kigali.
I recently visited Mövenpick Hotel Kigali, and I can honestly say it’s one of the prettiest and most relaxing hotels I’ve experienced. From the moment I arrived, the location stood out — it’s perfectly placed, making it easy to access while still feeling peaceful and exclusive.
The view is absolutely amazing. Whether you’re sitting outside or near the windows, you get this beautiful, calming scenery that just makes you want to stay longer. It feels like the perfect escape without even leaving the city.
The drinks were another highlight. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. The cocktails were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and felt premium. You can tell they really care about quality.
And the brunch? Incredible. There was such a variety of fresh, delicious options, from sweet pastries to savory dishes. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful. I loved how cozy the atmosphere felt — comfortable seating, warm lighting, and a relaxed vibe that makes you want to sit, eat, and talk for hours.
Overall, Mövenpick is truly amazing — stunning views, great drinks, delicious brunch, and such a cozy, beautiful setting. I’ll definitely be going back.

Amazing experience at Mövenpick Hotel Kigali, especially at the Elephant Bar. Oscar was truly exceptional and attentive, charismatic, and incredibly professional. He knew the menu inside out, gave great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely valued as guests.
His energy, attention to detail, and warm personality made the whole experience unforgettable. Service like that is rare. I’ll definitely be back.

From the moment I arrived, this hotel completely exceeded every expectation.
I was greeted with singing and a beautiful cake right at the door, which instantly made me feel welcomed, celebrated, and genuinely cared for. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch, and they couldn’t have made me feel more special.
The staff, the welcome, and the room were all exceptional. In my room, I found a lovely welcome basket with fresh fruit and a handwritten welcome card — elegant, generous, and personal.
The hotel itself is stunning, brand new, and impeccably designed, but what truly sets it apart is the hospitality. The staff go above and beyond in a way that feels sincere, not scripted.
If you’re visiting Kigali, this is an absolute must-stay. Out of all the hotels in the city, this one truly stands out. I would return in a heartbeat.
