We stayed at Francis and his family's homestay in Musanze. Francis seemed very arrogant, they didn't welcome us even after we reached Musanze. Every staff was so unprofessional, honestly we couldn't stay there for long. We were not happy. We booked the wrong hotel with extra money. The air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly, their food wasn't good either. Definitely no one will go to Virunga homestay.

Our trip to Rwanda was simply unforgettable! We came to see the gorillas and stayed three nights at Virunga Homestay the best decision ever. Even though we had our gorilla permits but no transport, Emmy and his team organized everything perfectly.
From our arrival at Kigali Airport, the drive to Musanze, the incredible gorilla trek, and our return for the flight home everything was smooth, comfortable, and stress-free.
Staying at Virunga Homestay felt like joining a family. The warmth, care, and kindness made our journey truly special. We left Rwanda with full hearts and memories we’ll treasure forever!

I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but my time at Virunga Homestay felt completely different it felt like coming home. From the moment I arrived, the warmth of the team touched my heart. They greeted me with genuine smiles, helped with everything I needed, and treated me with kindness that felt so real.
The house is beautiful spacious rooms, clean and comfortable, filled with local touches that tell stories of Rwandan culture. The garden is full of flowers and birds, a perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee or tea and just breathe.
The meals were some of the best I’ve ever had simple, fresh, and cooked with love. Every evening felt peaceful, surrounded by nature and people who truly care.
When I left, I didn’t feel like I was leaving a hotel I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. I’ll never forget my stay here, and I can only say: if you visit Rwanda, don’t miss the chance to stay at Virunga Homestay. It’s more than a place it’s a feeling.
