My partner and I stayed for two nights at this wonderful homestay. The experience was very clean, safe, and comfortable. I'd like to highlight three exceptional things that made this place stand out from all the accommodations we visited in Rwanda and Uganda:
— John was an amazing host – always helpful, cheerful, and a pleasure to chat with. He even assertively assisted us with our luggage, which was much appreciated.
— We planned an early morning hike on Bisoke and requested breakfast at 6 am (I believe it was that time). To our surprise, breakfast was prepared right on schedule, which is something we hadn't experienced anywhere else in Rwanda or Uganda. When you have early activities, it's crucial that the timing is spot on, and they truly delivered.
— As we were leaving (heading next to Uganda that day), we found ourselves short on local currency, but they kindly allowed us to pay in USD or Euros.
Our stay was genuinely enjoyable, and it’s the small gestures that make all the difference. Besides John, the owner himself was also exceptionally kind and welcoming.

A very nice and clean house with super friendly hosts. They accommodated early breakfast as we needed to leave early for a hike and it was delicious with lots of fresh fruits. A big bonus for the cutest most friendly dog on the property :)

A beautiful stay in this homely accommodation. The breakfast was lovely — 5 fruits each morning with omelette then toast or bread rolls or chapatis. You can pay extra and upgrade but we didn't need to do that. It is a centre where you can book and go on activities. The rooms are very quiet, lovely hot water in the shower and the use of the sitting room at all times. The family is very friendly and helpful. I'm sure we will return.
