The hotel is relatively close to the center, with a Pyaterochka store nearby.
At first glance, I chose this ordinary budget hotel because of its proximity to the center, air conditioning, breakfast, and good rating. I needed the hotel for a few nights. The first thing that upset me was that the air conditioning in the room was old and yellowed, and did not cool at all (at the time of arrival in Kazan it was +28°C). The room itself also showed signs of wear. I am attaching a photo.
Breakfast on the first day was without a buffet: oatmeal, puff pastry, some kind of ham and cheese pie, and black tea. But what really upset me was what happened next. When leaving the restaurant, an employee stopped me and said that the water was being turned off in the hotel (according to information from the water utility). They handed me a bucket and a plug for the bathtub so that I could get water. In the evening, I discovered that they still hadn't given me any water. The next morning there was still no water, and for breakfast they served macaroni with sausage and, to my surprise, said: "Say thank you that at least we give you something! "
In my presence, a woman came to the reception who was less fortunate than me: she had no water to use the bathroom, and the water cooler on the floor had run out of drinking water. In the end, a guest brought a bottle of water for the cooler, not a hotel employee.

Polite staff.
The room is old and dirty. The beds are terrible, old. The walls are peeling, the furniture is all old. There was only one working socket, one was dangerously falling out of the wall. The bed linen is clean, but there were red stains on the sheets.
One thing is good, the staff tried to show concern, offering other mattresses, but… there are no words. The room was dusty.

Polite staff, always helpful, always on duty. Hearty breakfasts. The room is clean, despite the fact that there are some shortcomings in quality — the sink is a little loose, the shelf is tilted. But this does not interfere with rest.

The Ryan Johnson Hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful area of ​​Kazan. So if you just want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of big cities, this is the place for you. The room is clean and cozy, and has all the basic amenities you need. The staff is great: the people who work at the hotel are very responsible and friendly, ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

I liked two things:
1. Price. I went in August, the price difference with other hotels was at least 2 times.
2. The opportunity to visit the sports complex for free.
1. The most important drawback is cleanliness. Or rather, its absence. It was terribly dirty, I saw this for the first time. It was disgusting to touch anything. I wiped everything with antibacterial wipes. The bed linen was white, crunchy, at least that made me happy.
2. Location. The hotel is located in an old area, there is devastation nearby. For me, this was not such a drawback, since I saw what I was getting. Perhaps this is important to someone. But, by the way, I walked to the center on foot, practically along the shore, it took about an hour, I even enjoyed the walk.
3. The hotel is very old, without repairs for a very long time. For me, this is not a minus, if cleanliness is maintained. But it is not here. By bus to the center is about 20 minutes, the stop is nearby.

A good full breakfast in the restaurant Tiflis-porridge, egg, pastries, sandwiches, tea. In the evening here you can have a delicious dinner, Georgian cuisine, drink wine, there is a business lunch. The staff is friendly, especially Farida, they explain everything. The rooms are cleaned every day, clean, towels are changed daily, there are shampoos, gel, soap. In the room there is a refrigerator, TV. A cooler with hot and cold water on the floor. From the hotel to the center 6-7 stops on the 30 bus, it runs every 14 minutes. Nearby there is Pyaterochka, grill cafe BPSh, where you can eat tasty and quickly, one stop through the Fisherman's Garden towards the mosque. I especially liked the swimming pool, included in the price of accommodation, time is unlimited, it is located next to the hotel in the tennis academy, there is also a cool hamam and sauna. In the morning you can't drink coffee in the hotel, only tea. I am a coffee lover. The rooms need renovation — old furniture and carpet.

What's there to like about this hotel? Perhaps only the day of departure, because… at this moment you understand that you will never return here again.
The location of the hotel is quite far from the center. Breakfast is extremely meager (tea, porridge, boiled egg and half-dried puff pastry with jam, sometimes instead of an egg there may be a couple of mini-sausages). The carpet in the room was trashed, with some terrible big stains and stains, I don’t even want to think about why. There is a problem with hot water in the shower; you have to wait about 10 minutes to wait for it. The air conditioner did not work, it tried to turn on, but it did not blow or cool at all, it had not been cleaned for probably 10 years, if not more, judging by its appearance. Plus, there was a strange smell in the room (possibly due to the same carpet + non-working air conditioner + not the best ventilation in the bathroom).

The hotel is conveniently located. All attractions are 10-12 minutes by taxi, or 5 stops by bus No. 30, which runs perfectly (but until 20.30 — 21.00).
The two-star hotel was a pleasant surprise. At the beginning of August I lived for three nights, room 103 — on the first floor. The room was cleaned daily and towels were changed. You won’t see this in all domestic “fours”. In the hallway there is a cooler (always full) and an ironing board. Quiet. The only negative is that there are no curtains on the windows… There is parking under my window, guests park their cars… In the evening I had to either sit with a night light so as not to be exposed to view. Or turn on the overhead light and walk around in your room in a T-shirt and jeans (there are no bathrobes for guests, I forgot about that). But overall, everything is great.
Quite clean, except for small things.
The reception staff are friendly. There are no complaints about their work.

It's a rare occasion when I decided to leave a negative review. Apparently in some cases this will help cheer up the staff. We came to Kazan with our daughter for a concert of her favorite band. The hotel is located in a quiet area and has a fairly large building. When you walk into it, you get the feeling of the 90s. The staff is surprisingly unfriendly. We arrived on Sunday. At first they offered a room with one bed, although the booking included two. They changed it with dissatisfaction. Room on the 1st floor. We waited for some time — the room was being cleaned. Cleaned well — linen, bathroom, everything is in order. I saw a hairdryer in the bathroom, it didn’t work, I started to look why — the socket was pulled out. Didn't you notice while cleaning? The water takes about 15 minutes to heat up. The hotel has a cafe with cuisine similar to Georgian. For some reason, techno music is constantly playing in the background. While the room was being cleaned, we decided to have lunch. We chose the dishes — half of them are missing, we choose again. Can’t you immediately say what’s missing? Nobody said that on weekdays there is a business lunch here from 11 o’clock. We found out about this only the next day before leaving. We decided to have coffee in the morning. The young man nodded — we can make coffee in a Turk. The same waitress from yesterday ran up — No! We brew coffee from 2 p. M. Why from 14? Why shout about it now? Should we get up and leave?

Friendly staff, clean room, room cleaning every day, comfortable. It's great that there is a hairdryer.
The TV didn’t work, the toilet didn’t flush well. The location is also not very good — there’s only one bus to the center (slow Wi-Fi.

Wonderful hotel, everything is delicious, restaurant without leaving the hotel. There is a transport stop nearby and secure parking. Possibility to visit the swimming pool, hammam or gym. Placed as soon as we arrived (for a small additional fee)
I will definitely recommend to friends and acquaintances.
Service in a restaurant. We arrived for breakfast at 9:20, they began to resent us because we came late (even though breakfast is until 10:00) and they were already cleaning.
The air conditioning in the room worked very weakly (but we were warned at the reception)
And at the pool I wish there were swim caps for sale. I didn’t go swimming because they gave me a RAW rag cap.

Comfortable. There is a grocery store across the street. Public transport stop. Parking. Nice cafe at the hotel, delicious. The place is quiet. Nice interior.

Double standard room. One double bed.
The room was clean and tidy.
We were met well. They told everything, explained everything, showed everything, checked in literally in 5 minutes.
The only negative was that there was no curtain in the bathroom. The floor was wet after taking a shower.

To be honest, I feel sorry for even one star for this hotel. The check-in started with a misunderstanding. There was no room with 2 separate beds, they tried to put two women in one double bed. The size of the room is like a kitchen in a Khrushchev building. If one person gets up, the second one must lie down, since there is no place to go. The rooms are dirty, and not because the cleaning lady doesn’t wash well, the wallpaper is torn and stained, the blinds on the windows are twisted into braids, the toilet smells like sewage, everything is rusty. The breakfast that is supposedly served in the restaurant looks funnier than hospital food. The only pleasant thing was the pool. And yes, thanks to the girl at the reception, Rosina. I wouldn't wish anyone to stay here.

The room is small, but clean and comfortable. There is everything you need for your stay. The beds are comfortable, we slept on them like babies. The bed linen was spotlessly clean, as were the towels, which were changed as needed.
The room has a mini-fridge, TV, telephone, air conditioning. The bathroom has a set of hygiene products and a hairdryer. The bath is large and deep. The sink is convenient for washing.
In the hallway there is a cooler with hot and cold water, an ironing board and an iron.
The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout the week.
The room was cleaned, there were no problems with it.
The staff is friendly, they told and explained everything, they are always friendly. We have only good impressions.

The hotel is good. There is a hammam and a swimming pool (but we didn’t visit it, I can’t evaluate it. But as a bonus it’s very good). The staff is very polite. Cleaning was done regularly. There is a water cooler available for public use.
Make cosmetic repairs. Replace wallpaper and carpet in rooms. There is an unpleasant smell in the corridor that carries into the rooms.
If you plan to actively spend time in the center as a tourist, then this hotel’s location is not convenient. Transport goes to this shore until 20.00, and later you can return only by taxi. There are no canteens nearby. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but the price tag is not low.
