Cottbus Hotel

The choice was made by chance, but we were so pleased with the hospitality, the condition of the room, the work of the staff. We were met by the administrator Marina. A very friendly administrator. She recommended excursions to us. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast. In four days we visited many beautiful places: castles, exhibitions, museums. But we decided not to stop there, we want to come again and, most likely, stay in this cozy guest house Cottbus. Thank you for everything.

The service is good, but it depends on the shift! The kitchen is excellent, the rooms are clean, the administrator Marina, instead of resolving the conflict, throws up her hands and tells us to notice everything, but the problem is with you. We checked in for 4 nights, the second night we didn’t sleep, the first night the loud laughing of guests from the first floor was accompanied to their room at 2 am!
The second night, a loud showdown in the same room was also accompanied right up to their room. In response to the complaint, the administrator Marina said that our tour operator should have told us that their hotel was noisy.

I just recently returned from Kaliningrad. I really liked the hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, good location. All administrators are good. But most of all I would like to highlight Nadezhda for her openness and attention. Thank you very much to the maids for the cleanliness of the room and the hotel. The hotel is not big, but cozy.

I stayed at the Cottbus Hotel and I liked everything very much. Starting from the location of the hotel to the service. Friendly staff, cozy rooms, the sauna is just awesome. I will say more, we met the owners of the hotel, they are very friendly and welcoming people, so apparently the atmosphere of the hotel itself is like that. Denis, the owner of the hotel, arranged a tour of Kaliningrad, which made me very happy that I did not need a city guide. Nadezhda, his wife, is a very kind and hospitable hostess, in general, the impressions from staying with them are only positive and a lot of pleasant memories. I recommend it to everyone, you will not regret it! Next visit, stay only with them!

I stayed only for the night, so I can't tell you much, but at the reception I was met by a surprisingly friendly owner of the house, a very clean room, a comfortable bed, a delicious breakfast. Of the small minuses, I can only note the lack of an elevator, and a slightly outdated TV, you can't watch anything of your own via HDMI.

I read the reviews, people had a lot of good impressions. I decided to trust them and it was a mistake.
Purely facts.
Pros:
— quiet area;
— well-maintained rooms.
And now the cons:
— disgusting kitchen.
Breakfast. There are two types of coffee: from a coffee machine with the inscription “press only Americano”, which is terribly sour, which indicates the lousy quality of the beans themselves or that the machine has not been cleaned for a long time. And the second type is instant, from a stick. Not 3 in 1. Regular, cheapest instant black coffee. Juice with a taste of anxiety.
Steak with egg was not the best choice due to its poor taste.
— the shower stall in the room was leaking, which, by the way, was poorly washed from the outside. The transparent case is clean on the inside, but dirty on the outside.
— lack of dental supplies. They can be obtained from the administrator at the reception desk. Damn inconvenient.
This is rarely written anywhere, but if you decide to stay here, keep it in mind.
— bed. I took a room with a double bed, but in fact I got two beds that were back to back. The beds are solid and flat, so if you have a restless sleep, your mattress will slide off the bed. Well, in addition, there is a high chance of falling between the beds, since everything is categorically unstable and slides on the floor. This is an event in the middle of the night, and not only in the middle of the night.
After one night spent here, there was an unpleasant aftertaste.

I stayed with my grandson for 6 days, thank you very much, I liked it, wonderful breakfasts, dinners, everything is delicious, the girls at the reception are wonderful. The rooms are cleaned every day. Many thanks to the maids and cooks. I recommend it.

Cool mini-hotel. Great location. The center is 15 minutes away by bus. Quiet, lots of greenery, nightingales are singing. Numbers are ok. Not rich, but clean, there is a kettle and a refrigerator. Linen is changed every other day. And the sauna is beyond praise! I recommend to all!

We visited the sauna with friends, forgot the chain in a visible place, left at night, and discovered it was missing in the morning. They called, the girl at the reception doesn’t know anything, there’s no information about the cleaning lady either, it’s her first day here, no one even knows her name 😂 They didn’t even give me the Director’s number, you also have to try to see him in person) now you understand that you can’t trust such a place with anything at all.

Terrible service, they left the chain in a visible place in the sauna. In the morning, having discovered the loss, they called. Nobody found anything, of course) they don’t have the cleaning lady’s data, they don’t have the director’s data) no one knows anything.

The location was very convenient for us, as we needed a hotel within walking distance to the hospital.

For breakfast they offered scrambled eggs or cheesecakes, it was terrible.
To say that the room was terrible is an understatement. There was no heating, although a fireplace was provided. The sink is a different story: broken and big problems with the faucet. The linen was clean, the room was very old, there was a persistent unpleasant smell.
Relatively clean, but everything is very old.

The staff is polite and helpful. It's obvious that they're trying. The food is very tasty, we were pleased) the room was clean and comfortable. Overall we are satisfied.
The shower cubicle did not close. The walls seem to be made of cardboard, very good audibility.

There was an opportunity to check in earlier, which was very cool. The staff is friendly, they try to help in solving problems, for example, we had problems with the TV, but they solved it. Among the pleasant bonuses: free until 12.00 for residents a sauna with a swimming pool at the hotel (it was not mentioned in the description) and air conditioning in the room (it was very hot, so it was a lifesaver)
Everything is fine, but this is the outskirts, although the center is only 5 km away, but they need to be overcome. There is absolutely nothing interesting within walking distance. But we left for the center in the morning and arrived only in the evening (I don’t want to cover this distance on foot during daytime walks), so public transport or a taxi.

My family and I came to Kaliningrad for the first time, we checked in for free in the morning, we also had time to use the sauna, which is also included in the price of our stay, we were pleasantly surprised! The room is clean and comfortable for children, although there is no elevator on the 4th floor… physical education hello! Very tasty breakfasts, varied, the youngest does not eat well and dumplings were individually cooked for him — his favorite dish 24/7! The staff is professional, they gave us all the information and we didn’t waste any time! I really liked the gazebo-tent in the backyard, you can grill kebabs!
