Hotel Dana 2

The hotel offers its own complimentary parking lot; however, the number of spaces is extremely limited. The area accommodates only about four or five vehicles, so the parking lot is often fully occupied. Some guests arriving late have had to search for available street parking on unfamiliar city streets on their own. Reserving a parking spot in advance is not always possible.

Guest impressions regarding interactions with the staff are mixed. Some guests praise the front desk team for their friendliness, patience, and willingness to assist with changing an unsuitable room. Other travelers have encountered indifference, untidy staff appearance, and an unaccommodating attitude. At night, the hotel's entrance doors are sometimes locked, which can make it difficult to reach the front desk staff.

The hotel serves a morning buffet breakfast, though opinions on its quality vary considerably. Some guests find the breakfast tasty and quite satisfying. Other visitors complain about a sparse selection, cold dishes just half an hour after opening, and a strict closing of the buffet promptly at 10:00 AM. The on-site restaurant and bar are periodically closed, so guests frequently need to have lunch and dinner at nearby dining establishments.

Many guests note that the interiors and furniture are significantly dated, reminiscent of past decades. The actual condition of the rooms often falls short of the promotional photos online. Rooms feature wobbly wardrobes, worn carpets, creaky beds, and cracked walls. At the same time, some guests noted comfortable mattresses, while others complained of narrow single beds and even allergic reactions to the bed linens. Soundproofing leaves much to be desired, as noise from the corridor is clearly audible through the windows and thin doors.

Reviews of the rooms' sanitary condition range from acceptable to very negative. While some guests consider the housekeeping tolerable, others have reported serious hygiene issues. Reviews mention stains on carpets and towels, dust, cobwebs, and trash left in wardrobes by previous guests. In some rooms, guests have encountered insects, including spiders, beetles, and mosquitoes.

Room utilities generate a significant number of complaints from guests. During the summer heat, the air conditioners often operate inefficiently, make loud noises, or simply blow warm air, turning the rooms into a stuffy sauna. In the bathrooms, guests have periodically noted a persistent smell of sewage or tobacco smoke. Hot water on the upper floors takes a long time to reach the taps, and due to an improper floor slope, shower water can overflow directly into the living area of the room.

The layout of the guest rooms is quite distinctive. Alongside rooms offering a beautiful balcony view of the central square, there are accommodations without standard exterior windows. On the upper floors, there are attic rooms with high, unopenable skylights near the ceiling that are difficult to reach. The windows of several rooms face an enclosed interior corridor or look out toward the kitchen exhaust, allowing strong cooking odors to penetrate inside.

An indoor swimming pool is located on the ground floor of the hotel complex. Some guests speak positively about its presence and cleanliness. However, the pool is periodically closed for maintenance, making it inaccessible to guests. A few visitors have also complained about the lack of heating, noting that the water temperature did not exceed ten degrees Celsius.

The provision of basic room amenities is rated as modest by guests. Disposable slippers are not provided in the rooms, forcing guests to walk barefoot on the bathroom tiles. Mini-refrigerators in some rooms do not function or are installed in such a way that the power cord cannot physically reach the electrical outlet.
