CENTRAL VIEW Craiova in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

How is the CENTRAL VIEW Craiova hotel located relative to attractions, public transport, and shops?

The hotel is located in the very heart of the city, right at the entrance to the historic district's pedestrian zone. Public transport routes, including tram lines, pass nearby, and shops, pharmacies, and restaurants are all close at hand. Guests highlight the prime location for walking around and visiting the Christmas market. Beautiful panoramic views of the city streets can be enjoyed from the room windows and balconies.

Is parking available near the hotel?

Travelers can use private parking located next to the building. Reaching the property by car is quite easy thanks to its location on one of the main streets. Guests appreciate the availability of parking spaces right by the entrance.

How is the check-in process organized, and is there a reception desk at CENTRAL VIEW Craiova?

The building does not have a traditional front desk or lobby. Access inside is organized via 24/7 self-check-in using a keypad. The owner remotely grants access and provides all necessary instructions at any time of day or night. While some guests mention that the procedure can feel unfamiliar, the majority praise the speed and efficiency of this format.

What amenities and level of comfort do the rooms offer?

The rooms feature fresh modern renovations and impeccable cleanliness. They come equipped with comfortable beds, well-functioning air conditioning, a TV, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. The bathrooms are equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries dispensers. Nice additions include balconies with outdoor furniture and essential oil diffusers. However, some guests note the compact size of certain rooms, leaving limited free space.

Are tea and coffee provided for guests?

Each room features an electric kettle along with single-serve sachets of tea, sugar, and coffee. A capsule coffee machine for all residents is installed on the common hallway landing. Guests can prepare fresh coffee or hot chocolate free of charge at any time.

How good is the soundproofing in the rooms?

Guest opinions regarding quietness in the rooms are divided. Some guests find the atmosphere peaceful despite the bustling central location. Other travelers complain about a complete lack of soundproofing and thin walls, noting that conversations from neighboring rooms and noises from adjacent bathrooms can be heard clearly.

Is the CENTRAL VIEW Craiova hotel suitable for stays with children?

The experience of families traveling with children varies significantly. Some guests stayed with children without any issues and were pleased with the conditions and the availability of hot chocolate. However, several guests encountered open hostility and rudeness from the owner when attempting to stay in one room with small children. In some cases, parents were refused bookings, received inappropriate remarks, and were threatened with booking cancellations without a refund.

Is it convenient to reach the rooms with heavy luggage?

The property is located in a restored historical building in the city center. Access to the guest floors is via a fairly steep staircase. Guests with large, heavy suitcases and travelers with reduced mobility should take this architectural feature into consideration in advance.

How polite and attentive is the staff?

Guests' impressions regarding communication with the management vary widely. Most guests note exceptional hospitality, the maid's politeness, and prompt 24/7 assistance from the owner on all matters. At the same time, some clients report harsh and unprofessional behavior from the owner, including shouting and phone insults during non-standard situations.
