A nice 4 star hotel in Doha city, very close to many main highlights like The Corniche and the Museum. Great service, wonderful staff and amazing amenities. The restaurant is in floor 14 with a nice view to the city. Swimming pool in floor 1. They have a mosque there as well.

I tried this hotel because it's used by Qatar Airways for stays during flight cancellations for its customers, so I thought maybe it's not too bad of a hotel. I was wrong. For the same price as what I paid one week prior for the brand new Hampton Old Town Doha hotel which is located at the same metro exit station as Century therefore same neighborhood (National Museum), I can say Century is massively inferior. Century is very aging, gloomy, yucky feeling of old carpet, leaking shower making a lake in the bathroom. But the biggest tell sign about the trashy nature of the hotel is the notice on the window: "trash thrown out the window is strictly prohibited". Is this actually a problem with the typical clientele at this hotel? We would rarely see such a sign in any professional international chain hotel, no matter how low level brand, like Hampton.
The front desk agent at Century was totally clueless, they told me my reservation was for 3 nights, not only 1 night. And also printed on the check-in sheet. How in the world is this even possible? Maybe I could have stayed there 3 nights for the price of 1 night because it was prepaid and they did not ask me my credit card at check-in? When I departed I went back to front desk and I gave them my room key and asked for check-out. I was told "see you tomorrow". So I guess in this case, incompetence perhaps can pay off for customers?

Worst experience in a hotel until now.
— The management changed the room price without previous notes.
— The elevators are almost always very busy.
— The location is noisy, and civil work around the hotel has been going on for more than 6 months.
— The stairs are dirty, and the walls are full of mold.
— The fire alarm system goes on with a very loud voice without any reason.
— The rooms are small and the furniture is old. Mold is also visible inside the rooms.
— Curtains are very dirty.
— Wi-Fi has technical issues and keeps disconnecting and also slow.
— Gym is OK.
