Staying at the Nook Hostel was a truly amazing experience. And Mariana, the host, made me feel at this place like at home 🫶🏻
The hostel is in a central location, near various restaurants and the supermarket. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. The towel and breakfast are included in the price, there’s a fee to use a washing machine.
Everything was perfect, I would stay here again!
Clean, convenient hostel. Warm and welcoming — dealt with Ricardo and Lucas. Both great guys and so helpful. Breakfast included — plenty to see you through to lunchtime esp if out exploring. Wonderful location — close to many bars, restaurants and the port. I was traveling with someone but the area and hostel felt safe. We had AC in our room. There’s an abundance of shower and toilet facilities with a comfortable lounge area and TV also. Highly recommend and will stay there again if I’m ever back in Ponta Delgado.

This review is NOT a mistake. I stayed at this lodging for 17 days August /September 2023.
The neighborhood is neither the cleanest nor the safest. Dressy sandals or flip flops not recommended. Keep backpacks and purses zipper side in and strapped to your body.
Noise level at night due to high traffic area, extreme.
Guest demographic, young adults.
No Wi-Fi connection — available only in the downstairs kitchen area. Signal is too weak to cover guest floors/rooms.
Laundry 12 € per load.
Breakfast is bread, deli meat and cheese, cold cereal with shelf stable milk, yogurt, coffee, juice. Every day.
Clean linens and towels provided approximately once a week. Bring your own washcloths. Hairdryer that was provided is inoperable, bring your own. Toilet paper and paper towels are provided and well stocked.
Purchase air freshener to combat strong smell of urine from bathroom — it permeates the hall as the bathroom is unventilated.
Staff is not really knowledgeable about sights to see or transportation around the island; no pamphlets or guidebook available.
These accommodations are for the DIY person. The hostel is in a central location, near various restaurants and grocery stores. Walking distance to the port and mainline for bus service.
