The staff go above and beyond to make you trip enjoyable. Perfect location for exploring Porto! Nothing fancy but everything you need, would go back for sure!

Hotel well located with a very friendly welcome however regarding the room nothing goes anymore.

The room was tiny, we were only able to open one suitcase on both and one of the two sockets on the bedside tables was not working.
Namely: no refrigerator or kettle.
In place of the view of a small street in Porto we had a view of the hotel restaurant reserve, so the room had no brightness.
In view of the "soundproofing" of the rooms, breakfast becomes a mandatory alarm clock at 9am with incessant noises: water from the neighbors' toilet, discussion, slamming of doors.
Finally, the housekeeper went into the room for 20 minutes before the checkout without knocking.

The hotel is 3 stars, although Booking gives it 4 stars. Standard hotel, excellent location. A 2-minute walk is one of the central squares. There are a lot of shops and cafes around. Breakfast is decent and plentiful. It's 10-15 minutes slow to the old Porto. The river is 20 minutes away. Very close (on the square) — the final stop of all tour buses, 3 routes of which will introduce you to the whole of Porto.

Friendly welcome. Hearty breakfast. Full center of Porto. Ideal for visiting the city. Near bars and restaurants. Intense nighttime activity.

Little hotel, will not be back. They were not upfront about their fees if you reserved online clarify the price and fees as soon as you arrive. I was charged nearly double my booking reservation price at check out. The room was was small but clean, could feel the springs in the bed but seemed ok, neighbor was smoking and making a lot of noise in his room. Breakfast and the man working at breakfast was wonderful. However the night desk shift fell asleep out of view of the front door and I was locked out until able to to wake them as you cannot leave with your key and the door bell was not waking him. After a long wait thinking he may be in the bathroom I began pounding on the door and then he almost immediately arrived but it was clear to see he had just awoke. I would not return and left with a very frustrated and bad experience and for what they charged I could have stayed in a much nicer hotel, bigger room etc. Next time I will book another location. I wish everyone else better luck.

This small hotel is strategically located close to the Municipio square and at walking distance to the river. Rooms are pretty small but very clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast quality is fair enough but it can be better.

Everything is perfect: the location and the staff and the breakfast and cleanliness in the rooms! But the rooms are very small. It was difficult to attach 2 suitcase, and then all the time came to stumble on them.

Very kind clean convenient to visit Porto. He's got a parking garage. Right in front of the Hard Rock Cafe.

Normal. Too much noise in the rooms. The problem may, at least for me, which is not outside noise but inside (from the other rooms). For the rest very good is very central, perfect if you go few days and want to take advantage of the time, the good breakfast and the employees of the hotel very nice.

Very nice staff and a nice room. Everything very close and many places of the city are within walking distance. But reviews that complain about the volume I can't quite comprehend. Once you close the windows tightly, it's not a problem at all.
The fact that there is something else going on on the streets in the evening is quite normal at a centrally located hotel. I can only recommend it.

Good place to stay, reception staff is very courteous and helpful, Rosillia was particularly very helpful in guiding us where to go in Porto, location is fabulous just 200m away from Sao Benito Porto station, breakfast spread is limited.

Clean sheets and close to the center. Other than that… Rooms are very small, bathroom needs total reconditioning, late breakfast and no coffee or tea whatsoever anytime before that, which is at 7:45 am…

Very bad hotel rooms, especially the bathrooms. Everything is badly thought in there for ease of use.

Breakfast was OK, small choice in my view. Rooms were small and bit dated. Shower and bathroom good. Generally clean and good central location but rated down for the price we paid and breakfast not served until 7.45 which is quite late start considering the 36C during the day you want to start walking early.

Decent room. The bad part is you had physical keys that you have to leave at the counter when you're out of the hotel.

The reception and hall were really beautiful and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, beyond expectation. The breakfast was ok if a little cake-heavy. The location is good, very central and close to local bars and restaurants etc. There was repair work going on at the time so during the day it was very noisy, but that's fine if you're not there!

Great spot for a walk through Oporto within minutes from everything and you will lose yourself in all the beauty xx Adeus Oporto xx.

Central location in walking distance of old town Porto. Friendly staff, great historical decoration inside, great interior design. Just walking the hotel floor gives you a museum feeling. Room was clean, silent. Beeakfast is not special, typical for southern europe, can be avoided.

Quaint, historic, and very good value. Walk the floors to see the mix of furnitures and decor. I enjoyed our stay, the included breakfast was a bonus but could be improved.

Nice hotel in an ideal location. We felt very comfortable. Particularly noteworthy is the very nice and helpful staff. We love coming back.

Negatives: outdated and old facilities. Room not very clean, stains of moisture in the walls. Quarter of bathroom dirty and dark (rust included in the shade of the bath). Corridors and interior of hotel rather dirty and unkempt, fused lights, dirty carpets.
Aspects positive: room light, downtown. We only stayed a night, we change our hotel the next day. Nothing advisable.

My family spent 4 nights here, and overall the stay was good. The staff was some of the friendliest we've ever come across, they always smiled and talked with our extremely curious 4 year old daughter. The hotel itself is right outside the central square in Porto, so it's easy to hop on any of the metro, tourist buses, and city buses because they all stop within a few hundred feet of the hotel. The rooms themselves are a bit dated, don't expect flat screen TVs or reliable internet — the wireless wouldn't obtain an IP address half the time despite being the closest room to it, but when I statically assigned it after successfully connecting the second night, I had less issues. The breakfast consisted of cheese, ham/sausage, croissants, fruits, cakes, cereal, yogurt, and coffee. We ate at the restaurant one night, and weren't all that impressed. The sausage appetizer was good, it contained 4 or 5 types of sausages, but other than that we weren't too impressed with the "fried chicken" or the steak. Honestly we didn't expect a Michelin star meal since we weren't ordering traditional Portuguese food, but I didn't expect fried chicken to be mostly joints with little to no meat on them. So other than the internet and restaurant deficiencies, I'd say we enjoyed our stay. We had no problem with noise, and the location makes it well worth the stay.
