Location in funchal is perfect. Good clean hotel with rooftop bar. Staff very helpful.

Fantastic location. Wonderful staff especially Miguel who never stops smiling. Rooms clean and tidied everyday. Great rooftop bar with small pool that does the job of cooling you down from the hot sun. All in all, fantastic area and hotel location.

One of best located hotels in Funchal. Easy walk in to town and all local facilities. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance and to start the day plenty of choice on offer for breakfast.
Roof top terrace and pool gives good views over the city and small snack bar does decent food, although limited range.
Have stopped here twice and booked in for later this year. Have stopped at Casino Park too but this is first choice if available.

Lovely hotel ideally situated in centre of Funchal. Staying in room 302 small room but very clean and you don’t come on holiday to just stay in room. Had twin beds on arrival but asked at reception for double and they changed bed without any problem. Breakfast is buffet style lots of choices but don’t expect full English, there is hot breakfast items normally scrambled eggs beans mushrooms, and occasionally bacon or sausage. No tea or coffee facillities in room but the prices for these at the roof topbar are very reasonable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definately return to this hotel.

Fabulous Hotel, right in the middle of Funchal and one of the few not on a Hill so makes access to the rest of the city very easy. Staff are wonderful, so friendly and can’t do enough for you. Board is on a B&B basis and the breakfast is varied with continental and English choices. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. There is a roof terrace and swimming pool that affords great views over the city. Everywhere in Funchal city is accessible on foot from the Hotel. All in all it’s pretty well perfect and we hope to be back one day.

Staff 5Star Snack Bar drinks priced fairly food — didn't look that good so never ate there and considering quality of breakfast was put off Location 5Star Views not good Noise yes lots of building noise during day but not really an issue as you out and about Definitely recommend staying here but take a room only option. Supermarket 1minute away. Lots of place to eat. Walk to Old Town a must is the Embroidery Museum. Sofa rides fun but Cable Car not worth it.

The cordial attention of the staff, the comfort of the rooms, its panoramic view of the city and bay of Funchal, and made out that to spend a few days of vacation very good.

Good value, nice room with a nice view. Staff are nice. Good breakfast and free bus into town. Quite a walk though.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This is our Madeira retreat and we have been there many times.

Been to Maderia twice now. Family recommend this hotel as they live 2 mins away. The views are just stunning. Very friendly staff too. Food is the A la carte is fantastic. Will be returning next year.

My hotel preferred a Madeira near any quiet roof terrace with swimming pool and a superb view of Funchal, the staff and the look, very good breakfast ;report qulité price, what more to ask.

Very clean, staff is not too friendly at the reception. Service staff, friendly. The ouside pool, guests putting towels on sunchairs, early in the morning, so that there spot is not taken. The sunchairs were covered with towels at 8.00 in the morning The bars … very cold, no greenery, no romantic atmosphere at all. The furniture… cold look design. I expected more warmness. For a five star hotel, no ambiance. And no green plants. The food, big variety, but mostly cold! C. W.

Never ever 5 stars. Only rooms on the sea front are ok. All other evil trap. The 2016 European championship, there was a Voucher. At the Bar 5 drinks to pay, one for free. However, there was the free drink, only as a mini beer. Top petty for the alleged 5 star hotel. And the rest of everything is all around made of concrete. For me, just awful and never again.
