Loved our recent stay so much that we’re planning a return in a few weeks!
Fabulous hotel, lovely staff team and superb facilities.

Great location, amazing views, very nice service from all hotel staff, delicious food in bar.

Incredibly disappointing holiday here in September 2018. Building works ment this was far from the Sensimar experience that was promised by TUI in their advertising. Hotel ignores there's a problem and can do nothing about it and TUI refuse to accept any responsibility. GO somewhere else!

Great and relaxing place to stay. Everything you could want is here But they need more music entertainment during the late evening. A dj with music and a bar is all that's needed. Lovely pool and the best staff you could want! Would fully recommend.

Sorry to say the hotel is in need of a face lift! The bedrooms are clean and presentable but need updating, staff are helpful and polite, the hotel is situated half way up what the locals call heart attack Hill, only at some and minibuses can get to the hotel, and is is situated close to a very noisy road, next to the hotel there is a lot of building work going on which adds to the noise of the road, I will not be returning!

Very clean hotel and spotlessly clean. Food good, plenty of choice. Building work on next door but we knew this when booking. Weather variable and pool lovely, very clean and plenty of sunbeds. Funchal a good walk away, but buses frequent. It is a very hilly place.

So far, very good, the staff have been great, the room has been cleaned regularly and the food had been plentiful and tasty. The pool is clean and the activities are just right for adults, some sporty, some touristy. The cashless payment system is a good idea although you do have to wait a day or two for your balance to become available, otherwise, excellent.

Beautiful Hotel and great facilities, strongly recommend, staff, food, rooms, pool, bars, entertainment are great as well, with plenty of trips and sites to see on the island.
TUI rep welcome was perfect and his staff were great.

I love this hotel. Small enough to be personal but high standards of cleanliness and customer service. Food is fabulous too. Nothing is too much trouble.

Nice adults only hotel. Rooms clean & big, staff friendly & a chilled out feel to it. Be aware it is at the top of a big hill but nothing major an unfit person could manage it at a slow pace.

Room was nice, balcony a bit small with no view to speak of (although we were only on the second floor) breakfast had a good range but the dinner buffet was a bit of an unusual mix. Lots of soft food. Welcome was fantastic and prices were on par with other hotels in the area. About a 30min walk into the centre of Funchal but some nice shops etc. On the way.

Wonderful staff meals delicious. Activities available with helpful staff. Need to be careful with HILLS. Pool fine roof top terrace super. Hot tub.

Excellent hotel … Excellent staff. Choice of food superb … Zamir the Tui rep gave the best welcome talk we've been to … the Tui team at this hotel Jaz, Colby and Zamir work extremely hard to make sure their guests have a great holiday. We would definitely come back to this hotel.

An outstanding hotel. Great views & excellent food. The staff were very friendly and the whole atmosphere was good. They have their own spa which has a good selection of treatments to help you unwind. Overall a blissfully peaceful relaxing holiday and I shall definitely be returning.

Very nice hotel and staff. Got a great roof bar with stunning views. The hotel is up a steep hill which even when your fit became a bit of a drag by the end of the holiday.

Winter break A nice hotel with friendly staff and comfortable beds. There's a pleasant roof terrace for enjoying the sun and views over Funchal as well as a separate area around the pool. Downside is it is up a steep hill and a half hour walk from the centre, although there are local bars and restaurants. Taxis from centre cost around £5-8.

No fault: Spacious room, very attentive staff, impeccable cleanliness, quiet hotel, hearty and good breakfasts.

Fantastic hotel for your stay in Madeira! The staff is friendly, the room was very nice, and the breakfast buffet was very good as well.

Friendly staff, that can't do enough to help with your stay. The food is of a high standard and quality. The only downside is it's location… you have to walk uphill every time.

Went 4 weeks ago great place good food excellent staff. Fantastic as long as you are fit for the hills everywhere.

Watch out for the dress code in the evening: No Bermuda shorts for men but overgarments allowed as well as cap on the head: To see what is the most chic!

I have had a fabulous time here. Everything about this place is warm and friendly. The food was lovely. The room was clean and spacious. Will definitely be returning next year. Thank you to all the staff from the chambermaid, the kitchen and restaurant staff to the receptionist and entertainment team. You all made our stay amazing.

Very good excellent food friendly staff perfect holiday.

I'm very pleased with the staff / services cleanliness of the whole place. There is good food, entertainment in the daytime and evening. You can take part or choose just to keep your self __to your self.

Well appointed rooms, good choice of food nice location, especially if you enjoy hills!

This hotel deserves a 5/5, everything is there for a holiday.

Staying for the week over Christmas. Good menu with plenty of choice to suit the fussiest of eaters. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gala evening on 24th Dec was excellent. The only down side was the almost non existent internet connection. Would recommend this hotel if you can cope without connection to the web.

Highly recommend in general. Excellent selection and variety of food.
