The location is beautiful, from the balcony you have a beautiful view of Funchal!

Our paradise! Fantastic view over town and harbour. Situated in a beautiful garden with flowers and fruit.
Nearest neighbour is a school and private houses. Far from the crowded tourist areas.
The staff is the best, from clean ladies to the receptionist, Ronio. Ronio knows everything about Madeira and helps you to find excursions and Levada walks all over the island.
Marina, the owner, is like a mother to us all, caring and friendly.
We can highly recommend Quinta Mãe dos Homens.

Quiet and relaxing away from the din of the city centre. Descents to the city centre on foot but climbed very steeply by taxi (between 6 and 7 euros)

The place is nice as it is and an adapted farmhouse.
The pool is nice and clean, great free indoor parking but the cleanliness of the rooms should be improved and not little.
After three days they had not made the change of the Sun towels and rearranged the Chamber.

Good cheap accommodation in Funchal, in need of renovation here and there. 10 minutes downhill into the city, up by bus for 1, 95 or taxi 5 00

The rooms are very large and the view from the balcony was fantastic. They looked across the city to the port where the big cruise ships docked.
The bathroom is nice sized and also very clean.
Unfortunately, the furnishings have come a little in the years and the rooms are very noisy, especially when guests are pulling the chairs across the room.
The rooms are very clean, just like the well maintained grounds. A nice pool with enough chairs is not missing.
A free car park is also available for a rented car. This is located on the closed hotel grounds.
There is also a bus stop in the immediate vicinity.
Nearby (400m) there is a café and only 50m further down the mountain a small supermarket. Those who are well on foot can get a bun every morning because it goes downhill and uphill again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We four were housed in two apartments with stunning views of the city and can only recommend the system. During the day exploring the island and is very well suited to discover the great restaurants in Funchal, in the evening just to the site. In addition, the small apartments are ideal and the system is also suitable to stay. Everything is so, as shown in the pictures. We are looking forward to the next time.

My wife and I spent 9 nights at this fabulous place It had a fantastic view. The room was great and the pool was very nice. It is a short walk to downtown Funchal The grounds are beautiful but the best was the staff. Everyone was helpful especially Ronnie who was always smiling and there to give advice I would go back again and I recommend this place to any visitor to Madeira Kirk and Huguette, Canada.
