Friendly service in a quiet and tranquil rural setting! … heated pool and Loads of sunny exposure!

Nice and quiet location with the great view. Very nice owners originally from the Ruhr area. Extensive and delicious food partly from our own garden. Would always like to recommend! 🌺🌸

It was a wonderful holiday we had for ourselves. Everything fits in this hotel. The location is uniquely beautiful, the hotel itself as well, the staff and also the boss super friendly. Breakfast buffet very versatile, with delicious fresh fruits and specialties from Madeira. The dinner very, very tasty. We already know that we will soon spend our vacation in this hotel again.

Nice quiet, quality hotel. Ideally placed for walking, especially in the west of Madeira (though we also did the east — nowhere is more than an hour away). Very friendly and lent us walking poles (we couldn't bring ours in hand luggage). Decent food and good selection of wines.

Nice hotel. Ideal as a starting point for hiking. A point deduction because the coffee and juice comes for breakfast from the vending machine. You only get fresh coffee at the bar. Breakfast was rich but a bit monotonous. Always the same two cheeses and the same sausage.

A very pleasant manageable country hotel in a nice quiet location. Very friendly and family atmosphere with very good service. The German owner is present and very mindful of the well-being of his guests and attaches importance to ecological aspects. We felt comfortable there and on another Madeira holiday this hotel would be our first choice again.

Beautiful hotel, surrounded by a nice garden. Good location with breathtaking sea views. Top breakfasts. Hearty dinner, good main course, can be appetizers and desserts to improve. Very nice staff and manager of the hotel particularly welcoming.

Booked a double room for friends visiting from Germany to do a 6 day hiking tour of the island. They were very impressed with hotel and the extraordinary friendly service. Loved the food, the fantastic location as well as the tips about where to go, what to take and their electric car.

We were staying nearby and decided to go out for some food. The cocktails were very well priced, and we had some tricky eating diets (3 vegans) but we were well catered for, off the menu. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful location too.

Nice food at reasonable prices, pity the kitchen closes rather early at 20.00 PM.

Beautiful Hotel, great view from the rooms and the terrace, landscaped gardens and cozy swimming Pool. The rooms were clean and spacious, everything has been thought of (mosquito net, lots of pillows, large closet). The staff was very nice and helpful, fluent in German and English-speaking, and was always in a good mood. At a high level, one could argue that the vegetarian offering was so special (there was a vegetarian menu but for example, in the appetizer salad bacon was in it). However, on the whole of Madeira is almost nothing Vegetarian, here it was offered after all. This has reduced the fun, the relaxation and the satisfaction in any way. Overall, we were totally satisfied, and would recommend it unreservedly and we will definitely come back again. Muito obrigado Quinta Alegre! Adeus!

A lovely little hotel, holidays to the enjoy!

Small, comfortable and familiar nice country hotel with friendly German-speaking staff. Car don't forget hotel is located just off and very quiet in the hills and banana plantations. From the airport approx. 55 min. Travelling time by 32 tunnel. Eat cheap and tasty a la card, recommended: sword fish tropical.
