I am absolutely thrilled with the hotel.
First of all, if you are looking for luxury, you are wrong here. But if you are looking for something like a holiday with friends, you should take a closer look here.
I have been received like an old acquaintance.

It is a small hotel with 9 rooms. My room is one with partial sea views and direct access to the hotel terrace, which is located directly above the Atlantic Ocean. You can hear the sea rushing and you can also have your meals here.

The rooms themselves are simple but functional with attached bathroom with shower. Just what you need. There is a small fridge in the room, which can also be stocked from the nearby Savings Market. Mineral water from the hotel is comparatively expensive at 3 € per bottle.
But the tea that is in the room is free.

The hotel can help you book a variety of activities.

I would do it again.

Unfortunately, the one star is only available for the view on the terrace. Actually we wanted to enjoy a few drinks on the terrace. Ok, for guests without food there were three really shabby tables on the right. Has been emphasized several times by the staff. We were not allowed to sit elsewhere. It is hard to be deterred, but we were not given a card after a quarter of an hour, nor were we served. We then decided to leave this restaurant and said goodbye kindly, but only got nasty looks from the staff and didn't get a response. Impossible. Too bad, never again.

Once you try to have a drink there. The reception was unfriendly — since already decided for the next day not to order a table. A pity, really a beautiful terrace. Unfortunately very unfriendly. Are already under stress with 12 guests.

Only for a drink on the terrace we are in the Inn & Art. The view from there on the cliffs are great. It is perhaps the most beautiful view in the whole area. The Puncha was delicious and can compete with others in other bars. Staff is human friendly, even a little personal. Good management.

The best thing was the outlook. The terrace itself is drained. The fish … It doesn't occur to me! Completely dried up …

Nice little hotel, especially the staff was able to convince us with various personalities!
Who does not necessarily want to stay centrally in Funchal can book here without any problems!

We rented an apartment in Villa Oputina, it was clean and adequate, but dated. The appliances, esp the fridge was noisy, the hob hood didn't work and the electrics need looking into. The flush was noisy and irritating and also for a spilt level apartment, the only toilet being upstairs was inconvenient. The bath was chipped at multiple places. My pillow was huge but after doubling it, it still didn't puff up to the required with, hence I didn't sleep well and was sore on my neck all the days there. The downstairs beds were too creeky. So much so that we woke up each time one of us changed our side. The staff 's friendliness, and cleaning is the saving grace. The breakfast was included in our package, but got boring on day 4/5, as only a cut fruit platter changes, the rest of the spread was same. The fruit juices tasted more like squash. I wish they update the flats, and charge bit more which I am sure clients with pay for good facilities, the pool needs to be warm, as the temperature does not go over 19-20 degrees, the water feels too cold.

Great hotel located directly on a cliff. Few rooms and away from any mass handling. The view from the terrace is recommended at any time of the day. Übersichtlichtiche menu with high quality food. The whole thing still with extremely friendly and polite staff. A real recommendation for hotel and food restaurant.

Very nice view. Nice ambiance. Prices are reasonable. However, this only affects the gastronomy, not the accommodation, as not overnight guest.

Great and lovely staff, fresh made food in front of you. Be warned that wine is strong. Go for the beef stake.

Unfortunately the pool at the apartments is not available at the individual rooms.

Beautiful terrace on the steep coast. Romantic little hotel with excellent cuisine and very friendly staff. Really recommended.

The café has one of the nicest view in Madeira. It's a very peaceful place.
