Funchal Hotels

My second time staying at The Reserve. I was alone the first visit. This time I was with my husband and we were both overwhelmingly pleased with the level of service we received.

We had an amazing stay at The Reserve. The rooms were beautiful, and the staff was truly exceptional — always friendly and attentive to even the smallest details.

We had lunch at the pool bistro and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a wonderful place to relax.

We recently celebrated a birthday at Akinta Jardim da Água and rented the restaurant exclusively for our event.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! Let me start with the State of the art design of the hotel and rooms. Love the architecture set-up, such as an amazing vitra chair I wish I could being home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Three House Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable.

Lovely and clear place, quiet place, safety carpark inside,
Many thank to Alexandira for her warm welcome and supports, 🙏
You can use public bus to reach from centre of Funchal or 15 min by walk.

A beautiful place to stay. Cosy, very relaxed atmosphere. And the flowers all around finish the job.

This hotel is perfect location. There is bus stops right across the road, tour bus stops right across the road, resraurants right outside, shops just 2 minutes out of the hotel.

The hotel is in a fantastic location within easy reach of all the local attractions. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were attentive, friendly & very helpful.

Excellent location and value.
Sunny house.
Very comfortable.
Administration with great service.

I would highly recommend this guest home, we had a fantastic stay, such a generous breakfast each morning, the hosts were excellent great for information, lovely central location, we will be back!

The location is great with a good access point for the shopping mall, supermarket, beach, and city centre.

7 nights at Joel&Sónia made me feel like home. They were very helpful, always there if you had questions, and even gave us recommendations on what to do in Madeira.

Excellent apartment, with a fantastic view. There is parking and it is very comfortable.

Great location and very walkable area. Apartment very clean and comfortable. Lots of towels supplied for the week. Nice quiet location at night. Very good value for money with it being so central.

We spent 7 nights in this accommodation. We were very happy with our room. The bed was very comfortable and we had a nice balcony. Jose the host was extremely pleasant.

This place is awesome, hidden gem, but has few defects and I cannot give 5*. The location is great, quiet and hidden among wineyards with beautiful view on Funchal, it is old 200 years wine mansion

Came here for the wine tour and it was simply amazing — the guide was brilliant, explained everything in a interesting and easy to understand way — my best Madeira experiences.

What a delightful hotel. The whole experience was perfect. The surroundings, the rooms, the restaurants and bars are so beautiful and d relaxing.

Excellent hotel with excellent service right in the old town of Funchal.

What a fantastic hotel… my wife and I have travelled extensively and stopped in plenty of hotels. The savoy palace is by far the best and we have been I many 5 star hotels.

Stayed at the Savoy Palace in Madeira in May right at the peak of their annual flower festival. The pool and grounds were immaculately maintained.

A warm welcome from the moment you arrive and friendly, happy staff throughout our stay. The room was beautiful, overlooking the wonderful gardens and hills.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel.

We just stayed at the hotel for a week. Very friendly staff, pleasant rooms. The hotel breakfast was very good, plenty of choice.

Lovely hotel in a nice and modern style. The rooms are basic but suffcicient, with excellent beds. The staff is truly amazing, very helpful, friendly yet professional.

Besides having to park away from the hotel that’s the only possible downside I could think of. Everything is so close together downtown Funchal is maybe 5 minutes away.

Really great boutique hotel. Food was excellent, well run and managed by a solid and helpful team, super clean, great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sé Boutique Hotel. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring the city.

Good hotel, great location, excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good, but ciould use a second espresso machine (or a faster one).

Pestana is just great. The Carlton is amazing. They really look after everyone. I love coming back here twice a year. Looking forward to another great week!

Fabulous hotel! Everything was great — room, balcony (15th floor, city view), buffet breakfast and dinner, friendly staff!

I love the Royal Savoy and its tranquility. Unfortunately, I was at the Savoy Palace Hotel now and I was very disappointed.

Extremely classy and elegant accommodation well deserved for a meaningful stay in Madeira.

Stayed 2 nights! Very nive CR7 themed hotel. Very friendly service. Good food. Nice view. Good location! Totaly recommend and would visit again!

The hotel was very clean, well looked after, and the staff was super friendly and helpful! The food offered for breakfast and during the day was fantastic with plenty of nice options.

Top notch hotel in a great central location for all the sights in Funchal.

Great location and very nice hotel. Room was clean and service on arrival was very good and welcoming. Balcony had a good view. Would recommend. Bath and shower were lovely.

Beautiful apartment right in the centre of Funchal 3 floors 2 balconies, overlooking the cathedral and city center. Beautiful design large kitchen, with all the utensils u need.

Wow! What an incredible place to call home for 9 days!
Perfect location, right in the centre of funchal.
Beautiful rooms with everything we could have needed.

As a regukar visitor to madeira of over 30 years and a golfer ive always wanted to stay at casa velha as its right next to the amazing golf course.
This year we decided lets go.
Fabulous place.

Outstanding hotel. Worthy of its 5* status.
Beautiful, stylish hotel with stunning gardens plus access to the Palheiro gardens.
Staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble.

Such a wonderful place. And huge thanks to Maria who has been amazing, making it feel like a home stay. The room was exceptionally clean & comfortable with balcony & pool view.

Wonderful stay in Madeira! The room was clean and comfortable, with stunning views. The pool was a great bonus, perfect for relaxing. Highly recommend!

Good location and good level apartment, not 5 stars as was not impressed when asked for 2eur for a broken glass after a relevant sum paid for a 6 days stay and air conditioner was leaking.

Lovely place to stay in Funchal, just in the best zone of city centre, with a Parking near.

Perfect location, near to Old Town attractions and restaurants. Apartment is clean and comfortable. We found everything we needed. The city and ocean panorama is outstanding. Host was very kind.

Exceptionally clean apartment, very comfortable and welcoming and is so much better than the photos, the area is fantastic just around the corner is a fab cafe bar and an easy walk into the heart of

Had an amazing stay in Babosas. The hotel is next to the cable car station and Monte palace so during the day the area is crowded but at the evenings it was super relaxing with the view of the ocean.

One of the best stays in the hotels I had so far. Everything was great: service, rooms (although it lacks smart tv), and especially food in their restaraunt. I would return here.

This was our third stay at this hotel and the quality and quantity of the five star reviews says it all. We are already talking about our next trip there.

This is our third time at the hotel and as previous times we have stayed once again we had an amazing holiday. We were disappointed not to get our normal room but were delighted with the alternative.

Residencial do Vale is in a very good location. There is a nice view from the terrace, breakfast is good and the overall accommodation very convenient.

This was our first time in Madeira. We chose this place because of its proximity to the airport and the excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed.

Husband and I travel for first time to Madeira and I was looking for a place very close to everything, no buses, no high steps, no taxis, just a place where we can go all over with no problem.

The receptionist Carolina really went an extra mile with helping us out with plenty of advises on "where to eat… ", "how to get… ", "where to park… ", "when and where to see Christmas decorations

Grate hostel.
Room was amazing and super cozy.
Location perfect.
And the restaurant really gourmet.

I was booked to stay here over my Birthday. Unfortunately plans changed and I was having difficulty getting a refund with Opodo.

Best Hostel! Everything was perfect! The people were super friendly and would 100% recommend and go there again!

I loved everything about my 5-night stay at Jaca Hostel! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location and interior design of the hostel are fantastic.

Clean little hostel with helpful stuff. Shared bathroom and shower. The location is perfect, close to the center, the beach and for a good price.

Lovely ambience, people, and spotless everywhere. Carla has such a good heart. It's a pleasure to meet her.
Facilities are brilliant, so I would say it's a hostel of the highest standards.
