Watch out for this place! We booked a room and then later cancelled it again (it was fully refundable) as we werent able to travel. To start with My Bairro Alto confirmed our cancellation and made a refund, however, when the date came for our now cancelled holiday, they still charged our creditcard. And now they wont return our money, despite we contaced them immediately after we discovered it and despite the hotel room being fully refundable and the fact they have even send us a confirmation mail confirming this. So we still look forward to seeing our money… even 3 months after…

Despite ample notice and Covid preventing international travel, they are not refunding our reservation for an April/May stay. They charged me the full amount. This is unacceptable given the circumstances and impossibility of actually going to their hotel. This was in stark contrast to every other part of our cancelled trip: the flights, transportation, and other hotel stay were all fully refunded. This hotel was the only one who refused and continues to refuse to refund an impossible hotel stay. Before booking, I would strongly recommend taking a look at actual Google street view photos and note that you won't get a refund even in the event of a pandemic.
