Aldeia da Margarida is a place to be in contact with Nature, rest and forget your worries. We were very well received by Pedro, to whom we would like to thank for all the hospitality and we would also like to thank each and every member of the staff who are very friendly and professional. They always welcome us with a smile, are very attentive to the children and are always available. Breakfast is great and varied (included in the price of the stay). There is the possibility of lunch or dinner on site, the food being wonderful, I just pay attention here to the size of the individual portion which seems excessive to me (enough for two people).
We cannot forget the friendly Carriço (pony), the goats and the chickens and rooster that make up the bucolic setting of the space.
With contemporary architecture, which seeks to connect the stone walls, typical of the region, it also has a swimming pool, which extends into the surrounding green landscape.
It is possible to add experiences to your stay, including a boat trip on the Douro and Paiva Rivers, with a visit to Amores Island. It's a worthwhile experience. The setting is worthy of any postcard and Mr. Paulo's friendliness was an added value.
I would just like to add that for those who have an electric car, the area does not have charging stations, with 1 in Cinfães.
➜ The complex is beautifully located and designed with great attention to detail. All buildings are artfully and perfectly integrated into the landscape and are consistently modern and very tastefully styled, right down to the furniture. Everything is super clean and the hosts do their job with a lot of passion.
There is the option to choose half board. The food is very tasty.
We can highly recommend the facility.

Excellent location for those who want to enjoy the calm of the region. It was a shame there weren't more guests at this time. Maybe due to fireworks or rain.
