Miramar Hotel Spa & Apartments is a charming hotel with a welcoming atmosphere, where every step is a discovery about the history of Nazaré. It is located 700 meters from Nazaré beach (10 minutes walk) in a privileged location overlooking the sea. This hotel has 44 rooms, of which nine are suites. All rooms have simple décor with large windows, most with sea views. Each room includes a flat-screen TV with cable channels, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The 7 apartments are located in a building next to the hotel and all have the best views of Nazaré. At the Mar Aberto restaurant guests can enjoy international cuisine and a variety of Portuguese delicacies, including seafood and spicy dishes. The Wine Bar offers light snacks, beers and special wines. The hotel also has indoor (under maintenance) and outdoor swimming pools and a leisure area with snooker. SPA/circuits is at Thalasso, a facility on the Nazaré beach, a 2km/5-minute drive from the Hotel. We provide free transportation if necessary. Please note that the access to the Thalasso facilities has an additional fee and is available only for guests over 12 years old and excluding pregnant women. Swimsuit, swimming cap and flip flops are mandatory in the Thalasso. Miramar Hotel Spa & Apartments is less than 10 km from Valado dos Frades Train Station. Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo and Praia do Norte, known for its giant waves, are a 10-minute drive away. Lisbon Airport is an hour away via the A8 highway.

➜ Fatal! Do not go the reservation service is terrible! A hotel shame.
We visited the hotel restaurant for lunch and a swim. Well worth it and we would have paid for a massage. Good food and amazing view. The pool was lovely. We had a look at the hotel and it was basic and looked old.

We had such high hopes when booked this place. What a disappointment! Expedia advertised it with " 50 % off spa services". That turned out not true! The hotel refused to honour it. The so called spa consists of indoor pool with few jets : you have to pay 10 € for 1 hr. And you need a swimming hat — dont have one — pay another 5 €. We booked a double room, thought that paying extra will get us better accommodations. They placed us on the first floor: ppl were parking so close to our windows, we were reluctant to open them. Never mind no privacy, constant noise, etc. We asked to move rooms and were refused. The reception desk staff had attitude and were mostly arrogant. You didnt want to ask them for any help. Our last 2 nights were completely spoiled by starting renovations: the hall way carpet was being changed. Imagine the smell of glue and hazardous stairway with pieces of old carpet torn off. Stay away ppl and spend your hard earned money elsewhere!
