Hotels in Ponta Delgada with a Pool

We enjoyed 6 days here and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. We got a great room on the top floor overlooking the harbor.

In many ways, Grand Hotel Açores is a spectacular hotel. It offers excellent service, stunning views, a good location, and well appointed rooms.

Super friendly staff and generally great facilities. We arrived at 9AM and they were able to check us in right away as our room was ready.

My wife and I stayed here for six nights. The staff was incredibly welcoming and addressed us by name every time we traveled through the lobby.

This hotel is so nice that I walked around Ponta Delgada feeling sorry for everyone who wasn’t staying there. My room was spotless and the space was stylish and serene.

The hotel, the location, and the Azores in general all exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with a group of 8 and we were all perfectly accommodated. Always a friendly face on staff.

We recently had the great fortune of experiencing true Azorean hospitality at Nine Dots with an incredible team of people. The hotel itself is located in the perfect spot for exploring the city.

We recently stayed at Nine Dots for six nights, and it was a truly relaxing and pleasant experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms were spotless, and the common areas were beautifully maintained. The location is also excellent, with great access to the highway.

Best small hotel ever… I travelled w child and see how happy he was in photos but basically makes sense for anyone, any couple with taste. Restaurant and room service amazing.

This was the perfect oasis for our honeymoon retreat! Solar dos Cantos offers a charming atmosphere that is the perfect mix of modern and historic. Every space is perfectly thought out.

We chose this hotel because it is a Marriott. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Each day they gave us nice towels to use for our day’s activities. The breakfast is great.

I’m a Marriott loyalist so this was the option for me in the Azores. NOT disappointed at all. Super clean and new hotel. Room is great and comfy. Nice fitness room with indoor and outdoor pools.

The room is very nice. Outdoor pool in the room was so cool. Breakfast was amazing and very good. Lots local fruit. I can't give an opinion on the jacuzzi cause I didn't use it.

Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff is very nice and professional. Food is especially great, made with fresh ingredients. Many rooms have a spacious jacuzzi.

No complaints. Great location to city center. Bar is great; Miguel is a wonderful bartender. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms are very nice.

Room are big, location is pretty good and close to some decent restaurants. It’s close to the pier so great for morning walk/run during sun rise.

Great location — 1 block from the old city gates and 1 blocks to the harbour/boardwalk. Rooms are nice: very comfortable beds, nice hot showers and all the amenities that you would expect.

The hotel was in a perfect location. There were five or six restaurants right on the street as well as a couple of coffee bars.
The staff not have been more accommodating.

The service at the bar is terrible.

Exceptional experience at Hotel Marina Atlantico, Ponta Delgada.

It is a lovely, local hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious. It is very reasonable, quiet and offers two dine-in restaurants.

It’s only our second day at this hotel and we’re already very impressed with the staff. They are polite, helpful, and genuinely attentive.

From the moment I got out of my taxi service was extraordinary!

From check-in to check-out the experience was excellent. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good.

LOVED IT! 10 minutes drive from the city Center. In a very quiet area with a beautiful view to the ocean. We took the Villa which was so big, spacious and had every thing we needed.

Great accomodation — New, modern and spaceous room. Well equipped shared kitchen and cozy community area. Service and breakfast was great! The infinity pool and Whirlpool were a real highlight.

Lovely hotel in the old, historical part of town. Centrally located facing a lovely park/plaza, nice roof with pool, small gym, good continental breakfast included, room was large & clean.

Perfect stay in a central location — walkable to main shops & restaurants. The service was great, parking was easy, clean rooms and we had a balcony overlooking the garden.

Our recent stay at MS Vila Nova exceeded expectations.

We stayed at the Vila Galé São Miguel Hotel and had an excellent experience from start to finish.

5-10 minute walking distance to most key locations of downtown historic Sao Miguel.
The environment is warm, inviting and calming transporting into past yet offering modern amenities.

I honestly can't understand how this hotel has any negative reviews because my experience was exceptional from start to finish.

We had a fabulous stay here. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful (especially Alex at the front desk — he was incredibly kind), and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

We had a wonderful 9 night stay here. The staff throughout the hotel starting at the front desk are helpful, efficient and so easy to deal with.

We spent a wonderful 7 nights at this hotel in January. It was perfectly located in the centre, without being noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and very clean.

I've stayed in my fair share of hostels, and this one hit different. The Out of the Blue building is beautiful, homely, fun and clean. And the daily breakfasts, family dinners and tours are memorable.

To manage some dietary restrictions, we wanted a hotel with some meal preparation facilities. We chose the Casa Do Contador and we could not have been more please.

For me, Casa do Contador is classified as a "value for money" hotel.

We stayed here for 9 nights during our time on the island, and had a great experience overall.
The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent.

May 9, 2025 — We had such a lovely stay! Hotel is close to Centro/restaurants/coffee shops/souvenir shops — walking distance.

Excellent apartment with good balcony space and sun loungers. Kitchen facilities were good: oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, decent sized fridge. Pool and internal hot tub.

The appartment was perfect and included everything we needed. It was very spacious too.

Incredible hotel — stunning styling, fabulous staff, gorgeous pool area and delicious food. Highly recommend this hotel.
A short walk from the centre of town.

The hotel is wonderful. Good location. Wonderful staff. Fantastic breakfast (loved the fresh fruit). We stayed in the Pool View room which doesn't face the street and was very quiet.

One of the best hostels that I ever stayed. Very clean, super nice and friendly stuff, breakfast is like hotel breakfast. They provide you with multiple towels.

Spotlessly clean rooms and common areas made for a truly comfortable stay. Breakfast featured fresh pastries, seasonal fruit, and excellent coffee.
